I bought the menu for two to go. The guy working there was very nice and recommended me the choices. Special mention to the Mac and Cheese, it was truly fantastic.

Found this place on route to London Zoo. Couldn't wait to tuck into a nice Chicken burger and chips but was majorly underwhelmed upon taking the first bite - didn't hit the spot at all. It makes sense now reading the reviews as i've just seen this place is vegan only. Why not call it it a VEGAN chicken burger so people know? Disappointed! Each to their own but at least have some info to let people know its vegan in there.

The food is very good. The espresso milkshake is amazing! The only downside I would say a bit pricey

Ate in early Wednesday afternoon, and was very disappointed 😞 the seitan (popcorn and wings) was flavourless, dry and rubbery. The only redeeming part of our meal was the shake and temple tots. Where are the herbs and spices? Revisited with my partner because of because of 🔥🍗 Hot Wings left feeling less hot 😭 Most the service is automated. Years ago, I went to temple of seitan and it was amazing, but that's the past now.

Used to love coming here when it first opened, hadn't been back in years until this afternoon when I spent £7.50 on two small fillets that were incredibly dense, tough, and flavourless. From looking online it seems they changed the recipe a few years back, so if like me you're looking for a repeat of one of the best meals you've had in London, maybe find somewhere else to avoid disappointment! It's also all very impersonal now; while the staff were kind and quick with making my food, I had to order on a till and didn't speak to anyone. Nothing to do with the staff on the floor / in the kitchen, but please can the higher-ups make the decision to go back to the old recipe! Can see lots of people saying similar stuff in reviews of the Hackney branch. You used to be the best!

Delicious food - the vegan garlic parmesan wings are amazing, would definitely recommend.

I'm sad to say I was a little let down by this spot. The seitan was good but a touch greasy and heavy. All the chicken options are essentially the same thing in a different size and shape. I wanted to love it, but it was just ok when it comes to the vegan options in London.

I ordered takeaway, the service very nice and quick but the food was just tasteless. The seitan was just bland in essence, the BBQ burger was a bit better but still mediocre at best, and the mac and cheese was just not it...

I hadn't visited London since 2014, so this place was on my bucket list! 📝 We ordered breaded chicken, chicken burger and the mac and cheese!!!! It didn't disappoint at all!! Everything was delicious!!! I recommend it 100% ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Really nice vegan burger - I had the BBQ chick'n and my partner had the nashville hot. Both really enjoyed them, nice casual fast food vibe to the place too. Good portion sizes, we both got a combo (burger, fries and drink) for £12 each, which is good for London!

the foods alright but not for how much it is, used to be amazing. milkshake is so tiny what the hell

Used to love this, but every time we order the prices have gone up and the portion sizes have gone down. Minor decrease in quality. Sad indictment of the times.

One of the few places you can find vegan milkshake. I had the temple deluxe burger and strawberry milkshake. My friend ordered a bucket of chicken wings, chips and popcorn chicken and a milkshake. We also had gravy, it was the first time I've had gravy. We shared everything. My friend also ordered a biscuit and a brownie. Everything was incredibly tasty. The burger was fantastic, I'd rather have the burger than the chicken wings but the wings were also very good. The highlight was the strawberry milkshake, I completely fell in love with it. It's amazing to me that they make it with rice. I actually came to this place 3 more times during my visit to have the milkshake. However the portions were a bit of a miss. I found the burger to be on the small side and the "regular" size for the milkshake is actually very tiny. You can see it in the photos, there is a "large" and a "regular" milkshake in one of the photos. it's more like regular is small and large is regular.

Great food and mac and cheese is the best. I'm not even vegan but I come here a lot "mostly because my girlfriend is vegan"

I had the temple burger, the chicken wasn’t as crispy as it could have been but otherwise delicious. Tater tots were amazing! It would be nice to have a bit of music playing in the background. The poor server was running around but very friendly and quick service!

The wait for food (despite not many customers) was pretty long, and the service when it arrived was lacklustre to say the least (the tray of food was just plonked at the end of the table). The grub itself was OK, but not good enough for me to want to come back again.

Great place for vegan junk food when you've got the hankerin'. I ordered a burger and fries and it hit the spot. Loves it.

I had been following Temple of Seitan on social media for years, wanting to go there if I ever had the opportunity, so when my fiancé and I planned a vacation in London we absolutely had to try it. And oh my goodness, it was most definitely worth it! We had the Nashville hot sandwich, the Nashville hot wings and animal snack pack fries, and it was by far the best vegan chicken we've ever had. Absolutely delicious!

This review might be skewed by a lengthy exploration of the London zoo before the meal, but I’ve never felt such gluttony toward any vegan dish. When the food arrived after a quick and easy order at the kiosk, I couldn’t help but stuff my face full of all the delicious food, from fries and tots to the BBQ Burger and the wrap - everything was perfect. Eating at the Temple of Seitan really does put into perspective how much do we rely on food in our daily lives, as I felt the animalistic urge to devour as soon as the pristine smell from the kitchen hit my nostrils. I respect the burger, but I also am afraid of it. 5/5 recommend to anyone

Food was amazing! We got stuck in traffic with our take away, but despite that the food quality was fantastic. Amazing taste, one of the best burgers I've ever had.

Amazing vegan fried chicken, nice easy fast food!

Easy ordering system super obvious on entry. Lots of seating. Staff were super helpful and the food didn't take too long. Quality of food is immense, it's by no means a healthy vegan alternative but as a treat I can't recommend enough.

Ordered from Uber Eats and had a disappointing meal. The wrap lacked flavor, the burger was saved by the bbq sauce, and the loaded fries were mediocre. I won't order from here again. Don't waste your money, make some toast.

The food was amazing. The restaurant really needs a trash can so diners can clear their own trays. People leave their dirty trays on the table, and the staff are busy cooking, so no one has time to clear tables. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

It's really amazing to have a fully vegan fast food, even if they don't really use the V word. There is really no reason to kill any chicken since this seitan tastes and looks absolutely the same.

I visited alone on a rainy day. Was nice to have somewhere to sit and warm up and charge my phone, which was also 100% vegan. I enjoyed the garlic parmesan wings, fries, cheese sauce and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. The atmosphere and music was pleasant. It was my second time here and I'd come again.

Love what they’re doing but every time I order from them or eat there I’m somewhat disappointed?? I honestly prefer the Quorn chicken nuggets to their tenders. I will probably eat here again and maybe I just haven’t tried enough of their menu.

Holy bleep! Possibly the best buffalo sandwich I have ever had! So saucy and flavourful! Perfect amount of pickle! The chk’n is so satisfying. So good I had it for lunch then went back for dinner since Im not from here… I would highly recommend this spot!

I ordered on Uber. I think you guys should be sued. Even if I had the intention of ever becoming vegan, after tasting your AWFUL chicken wrap, not even a consideration anymore. Absolutely vile. Who do you think you are to mislead people and let them waste their hard earned money on your fake food. Be VERY CLEAR THAT YOU ARE A VEGAN CHICKEN SHOP. Nothing mention on Uber eats you are not a chicken shop. Ridiculous and disgusting.

It's a quality vegan QSR with above par service and quality food offer. Love its 100% vegan food, burger I had was great , tad disappointed had to pay extra for a slice of tomato and then didn't get it 🤔 Otherwise all good inc surprisingly excellent filter coffee (if small and pricey), plenty of sockets too. Will def return

I got the temple burger meal. Was really good. Chocolate chip cookie was nice as well. Definitely a must visit for the vegans. Non vegans should give it a go too.

We liked it. Service was pretty good. We thought we'd stay 'original' and tried the Temple Wings. They're pretty nice. The coating is spot on, but perhaps the seitan could be a little firmer. Just our preference. The fries are amazing. If I was out and about late in Camden and needed a vegan fast food bite to eat, I'd definitely be choosing this place over ALL of the opposition. It's good and we'd recommend it.

I absolutely love this place! I highly recommend the vegan fried “chicken” in particular - it’s the best I’ve ever had. The food is always hot, well-presented and delicious.

Used to love ordering from here but the last delivery we got was super disappointing - the fries were undercooked and unseasoned (even though we usually love the chickn seasoning), the bacon on the burger was also undercooked and the fillet size smaller than usual :( the Mac n cheese is still amazing though! Hoping it was just a one-off bad order but not sure we will order again - disappointing for the price (£30 for two burgers and two sides)

Don't be fooled by the high rating, this place is not worth the money. Fries are way too salty and the burgers are awfully bland, the food is simply not good. Maybe if you want to trick yourself, but even for vegan standards this is sub par. Prices are lower than the usual vegan place so that might be the reason. The tables and chairs are usually not cleaned after the last person and the staff has an indifferent attitude. It's a place to come to if you're super hungry and there's nothing else to eat, but don't expect a certain experience because this place is simply soulless.

I’d say this is one of the best places to eat in Camden. I pinned this place on the map before coming to London and I must say I was curious about it. We had lunch earlier today and I had the best Mac N Cheese of my life( I’m not exaggerating!!). It has a lovely interior and the staff were very friendly and helping, we surely be back again. Ps: I also recommend all their desserts, they look and ARE delicious!!!

The seitan fingers were good. We were sitting there for a while then the baristas asked if we want free coffee because they didn’t want to waste them, they rather have them to loyal customers:) it was really nice!

Fantastic vegan junk food. Even the basic options - e.g. the fries - are extremely well done. Range of sweet options, all easily taken away.

My partner and I travelled 60 miles to Temple of Seitan, particularly excited to try the tater tots and milkshakes now that Neat Burger has removed them from their menu. First disappointment was that there were no tater tots or milkshakes available even though they are widely advertised. Whilst disappointed that we had travelled all that way, we ordered a burger, wrap and some popcorn chicken with gravy to share. We have never eaten something so tasteless and insipid in our lives. Honestly, we are not fussy and love supporting vegan restaurants but the food here was just purely gross. There was no flavour to the popcorn chicken and the gravy was practically water. To make it worse, the ketchup bottles provided on SOME tables were empty. The whole restaurant was just dirty and unwelcoming - it was like a shack cafe. The staff were not friendly and the vibe was just not there. The final straw was that after our meal, my partner and I started to feel very unwell. The pain in my stomach was unbearable and ruined our night. Would never eat here again.

Tasteless, Soulless and Expensive. No Milkshakes or Tater Tots. Felt incredibly unwell after eating. I was hoping this could replace the recently reformed Neat Burger also found in Camden, but unfortunately this comes nowhere near doing so. Even KFC is better than this place... Avoid and go to Purezza next door for a nice pizza and dining experience instead.

We are trapped in Temple of Seitan. We have paid for food, but no food ever arrives. We have been here for over an hour at this point. It is some kind of absurdist theatre. Save us.

Waited 30 minutes for fast food, friend waited an hour only to find they had forgotten his food. It’s basic fast food, it completely average and should not take that long.

Found this amazing place by chance while staying near Camden. The food was outstanding! The meal was reasonably priced (for London) but the taste was unbelievable. Plenty of food given and the brownie... Just wow! Great aesthetic, friendly staff , great background music taste too. Wish I lived local. Might go back tomorrow, who knows...

I ordered delivery so I can't comment on the place, but the food was delicious. I ordered the “chicken” burger and some delicious Mac&cheese. I would repeat without hesitation. To add a drawback, the hamburger and the portion of Mac&cheese a little small. Everything else is ok, highly recommended.

Mentally good. The most satisfying vegan food in London. If you want fried chicken, this is the spot, easy.

I am not often in the area and was looking around for a coffee on my way to a work event early one morning. Uninspired by any of the highly rated places on the street I spotted a sign outside Temple of Seitan advertising coffee inside under the name 'shotwave'. The staff were incredibly friendly and keen to tell me they had only opened for coffee the previous week. Orders are taken on a digital screen and coffee pulled through a La Marzocco machine. Oat is the milk of choice given the places vegan credentials and there are vegan pastries on offer too. Great little find.

I went to meet a work colleague who is in the UK for a few weeks. The electronic ordering process was easy to navigate. The food arrived quite quickly after we placed our order. The food was brilliant

The food was amazing and the menu is fully vegan 😋 I had a burger with facon, lettuce and pickles. It was delicious! I also had a medium fries on the side. It was a lot of very delicious chips! However, there was a bit too much BBQ sauce on the burger. The canned drinks are very good. I had the rhubarb one and it was very unique in a good way. Amazing restaurant. Would definitely recommend it.

The place is really cozy and the food is fantastic. Don't wait in line to order, sit at any available table, scan the QR code and place your order. By far the best veggie burger I've ever ate, different options of side dishes, good optional aditons to the burgers and very affordable combos (27 euros for the 2 people combo and it was a lot of food for 2 starving adults 😂). They even had the option not to add salt to the fried foods which was a fantastic idea. Everything is well seasoned. We ordered some spicy side dishes and the siriracha sauce, be advised that it's for real spicy.

I’ve never left a review anywhere but the Christmas cranberry burger I had here was amazing.

Gravy was perfect and the guys working there were kind, but for me the seitan texture is really not on point, it did not have a chicken texture. The crust was really good though.

The temple burger is one of the blandest foods I have ever eaten in my life couldn’t eat more than a quarter of it. Buffalo wings were ok nothing special. Oreo milkshake was delicious but minuscule.

I went to the temple of seitan in Camden for the first time after having been to the one in Hackney few times. On arrival there’s no one in the restaurant to welcome you, you just order on a screen which is fine but the restaurant felt empty and sad. The food was good but very salty and dry… I feel temple of seitan restaurants need to made some changes to both the premises and menus to intrigue new customers and surprise the regulars so they can stay relevant. It felt very average eating there and I don’t know if I’d rush to be back.

We ordered takeaway because there was no dine in. The service was quick and so was the presentation of the food but unfortunately the food really disappointed. The burgers, wings and sauces all disappointed. I think the quality of the food has a very long way to go to, it really is lacking in taste. The burgers were too salty and there was too much sauce. The wings and burgers just need more favour and taste, they taste tasteless at the core. I hope they develop their product.

Temple of Seitan is our most favourite place to eat out! Finally place where you can order anything on the menu and you know that no animal has been abused and no unnecessary land destruction was caused. We enjoy every meal on their menu and our personal favourite might be Nashville burger, salt & peper and the milkshake is incredible! The staff is very hard working and incredibly kind, we Love them all!

Amazing vegan chicken! Just wish I had gotten the regular pieces instead of the spicy ones because the spicy coating was too uneven and made the pieces dryer than I expected. 2023 edit: went back in June and it was perfect!

Used to love this brand but the service now is absolutely shocking - staff are outright rude, the tables are dirty and they close up early. You have to make your order on a self serve point of sale even when staff are around and not busy. Don’t do it - go next door to Purezza instead!

Burgers are meh - not very flavoured (even the Hot) and not a lot of seitan really. Wings were actually pretty good though.

Amazing food, great selection, friendly staff.

We've been eating temple of seitan since it was a market stall at Brick Lane in 2017. Just travelled across London to go to the Camden branch and were told by a very rude manager that they've stopped serving when it was 9.10pm and the restaurant closes at 10pm. When I queried it he said they stop table service at 9.20pm even though we arrived 10 minutes before then. We decided to go elsewhere. I've changed my 5 star review to 1 stars. Used to love this place but won't be back.

I had the bbq wings with coleslaw. the taste was good but I think there was too much sauce on both of them. I believe the food would actually benefit from reducing the amount of sauce, so that you can actually taste the salad in the coleslaw and the seitan in the wings. the portions are on the large side and the food is very filling. I would go here again and probably try another type of wing :)
