Very tasty Indian restaurant- had the butter chicken and rubi chicken was nice and not too sweet or sickly. Service was great from Romeo

We wanted to have Indian cuisine while in London as we heard Indian food is excellent in England. It did not disappoint, our server was attentive and the food was delicious. It was a treat to eat here and it was a walking distance to our hotel not to mention it is a stone throw away from the Harry Potter store where you can see the half cart Photo Booth. Portions are a little small though but the quality of food was amazing so the cost and amount of food is justifiable.

I visited here with one my Board members. We were going to go for Chinese food but than decided to try this restaurant. The restaurant is medium sized. Has a nice ambiance to it. It is accessible for parents with pushchairs and wheelchair users. The menu wasn’t packed with unnecessary dishes and was easy to follow. We ordered mango lassi which was more bitter than sweet but okay enough to quench our thirst. I ordered a vegetable thali and fried fish for myself and Taj Mahal Special Thali for her. My thali included sag aloo, dahl, cabbage baaji, rice, naan, raita, samosa and onion baaji. Her thali had Onion bhajee, vegetable samosa, butter chicken, lamb rogon, goan fish curry, raitha, rice and naan. The food was good but I have eaten better elsewhere. The fried fish tikka, butter chicken, naan and dahl were the best. I would recommend this place if you are passing through Kings Cross and feel like having Indian food.

Romeo was exceptional. The food was incredible. Had a very lovely time with my friend who was visiting from abroad. The service was timely, they made sure we had everything we needed. All requests were eagerly accommodated. Absolutely no complaints !!

Not authentic. Reviews likely to be fake. Run by bangladeshis actually. Could not get even a basic simple dish right..Aloo Jeera. A potato stir fried with minimum oil and cumin seeds without gravy. Uploading pic so at least Indian people are not misled.

Ordered the chicken biryani and it was meh. Flavours were okay but I missed some nuts or maybe some sultanas,... The rice and chicken was also quite dry, luckily we got free raitha with it. It satisfied my biryani craving but it could be MUCH better. It tasted like it was just some spiced rice with little pieces of chicken (breast?) and I know biryani can be much more than that :)) I do wanna try their other dishes though, i have not lost faith!!

What a great find in Kings Cross. There are lots of Indian restaurants around (including two next door) but the quality is generally pretty poor…but the Taj Mahal blows them away. The service was terrific and the food lovely. Nice menu, clean, modern and attentive staff. A definite recommendation for me. 👍

The food was great, but I was annoyed to discover that I had been charged £4.95 for my small glass of post mix soda water. When I questioned it he just smiled at me. I’m never going back & neither will my co-workers from across the road. I later told the manager who didn’t seem to care.

Ordered Chicken Dopiaza, Dahl and something with aubergine as well as saffron rice, naans and poppadoms. All excellent, especially the Dopiaza, highly recommended. If I'm very picky I would say the Dahl was less creamy than it could have been, but it didn't lack flavour, so still worth the money. Nice friendly staff, typical Indian restaurant decor. All in all well worth the money.

Everything was delicious - we loved the gojan fish curry and tandoori chicken and prawns. Romeo was so friendly and professional throughout - it was the perfect last dinner to our weekend in London :))

Excellent restaurant. Excellent service, phenomenal food and great location right near Kings Cross. We had the Lamb Curry and Chicken Tika Masala and it was some of, if not the best Indian food we have ever had. Incredibly friendly staff as well.

Food portions were way too small let alone for the price.They are kids portions. Food taste eg butter chicken and lamb curry are bland and sweet taste.No big difference to other Indian restau and the price does not match the taste.I get this for half the price elsewhere.Dine in and collection are same price. Did a staff meal get together but really disappointed with the food in general. Not recommended to anyone.

Excellent Indian cuisine right next to the station! We recommend the very advantageous and delicious £8 lunch option, there is plenty of choice and we were looked after by the manager. Don’t hesitate to stop by before your Eurostar 😊

Great food, mango lassi is amazing

They were open at 21.30 where we just stepped in to try. Actually it exceeded our expectations really. The food was reallt very good and service was quick. We got fried rice and mushroom rice as a side and they were both delicious. Maybe it might have a better lightning system, it is kind of a dark inside. Neverthless of light, their food can be top of everything to try here.

Rude! I tried to enter with my family at 1:15 pm for lunch, the person at the door asked how many people (as if the only 3 standing by door were too many to count) then since I saw a price fix menu by the entrance that's what I said. He seemed unhappy by our presence then before he seated us he said there's no menu for price fix and that he would simply "tell us" again with a frown. My wife and I felt we were unwelcome and decided to leave. Never been treated like this on my week in London. Terrible! Don't go.

Visited for lunch on a holiday. I ordered the set menu and garlic mushroom. Garlic mushrooms are spicy and go well with beer! For the curry set menu, you can choose chicken, vegetable rice, or naan for the curry. In addition to the curry, it comes with fried foods on the side and is very filling. I think the chicken curry will suit the Japanese palate with its chunky chicken and just the right amount of spiciness. The staff were very clean, and they were very friendly as they cradled the children and talked to us a lot. This is a store I would definitely like to visit again.

Our family found this place right across where we stayed on our vacation and this place did an amazing job at giving us a taste of Indian cuisine. The waiter who served us had a majestic voice and the food didn't take long to be prepared. There's a screen at the back that plays Bollywood music videos and they offered to help take pictures of us in the restaurant too!

Close to king X, we needed a meal and fancied a good Indian. This place delivered. Fantastic food, free great service. Imran in particular was fantastic, the 16/17 Payet of waiters, if you will.

This restaurant was open late, which was just what we needed for a late night snack. The food was amazing, especially the butter chicken. It is in a very easy to access location, just near King's Cross Station. Delawar was the assistant manager this evening and made sure to completly take care of us while we were here. If you're in this area be sure to stop by!
