Aux Merveilleux de Fred in Camden

Rude staff member. Last Saturday morning I ordered a coffee and another item to eat in. Initially when I saw the bill, I thought they charged me twice for the "eating in" fee, so I just asked them to double check. Then this female staff member with orange hair came along with a bad attitude telling me I was not overcharged for anything, but it was the angry tone she said it in that was not appropriate. She was even crumbling paper and throwing it to the ground aggressively which I thought was unnecessary. I then saw the price of everything, and it was correctly charged so I didn’t say anything else. A couple of minutes later I see a man laying his hand on a glass container at the bakery, basically asking his son if he wanted any of the items inside the container. Then the same lady told him in a horrible tone to stop pushing the glass as he is going to break it. I saw the man got annoyed and said that just touching the glass is not going to break anything (and I think he was right, he was touching it not pushing it). This is a horrible way to treat customers and won’t be coming back to this place.

The chocolate croissants looked fresh and I could not resist…. They were fresh and it was one of the best chocolate croissants I’ve ever had. Top two or three ever. Orange juice is pretty solid as well!

What is this? First time to eat probably. Creamy and whippy with topping with millenge(?) at bottom. French?? Good w cappuccino 😊

Not half as good as in paris. In Paris, the brioche are fresh, sometimes even warm and fluffy. Here it's dry and cold. Half the size as well. It is also more expensive. I wouldn't recommend

We used to buy sandwiches here; we went there yesterday to get some, and what a disappointment! The sandwiches are much smaller than before (they’ve been reduced to less than half their original size), and the price hasn’t changed! This is disgraceful! We won’t be going back!

Customers in this cafe are served by a very pleasant staff. I usually visit here on Fridays and I meet two young ladies who really deserve a lot of praise for their professional work. They are very nice people. Living in a big city can often be a bit intimidating and scary, but the atmosphere in this space was so peaceful. Great location, amazing coffee and amazing staff who deserve the accolades of the mountain. I really recommend everyone to visit here!

Coffee not the best and way too hot.

Gorgeous little cafe that does chai latte, hot drinks, iced drinks, sandwiches that are freshly made, amazing little merengue cakes and the best buns!!! All the ladies that work here are SO friendly, the atmosphere is homely and happy!

We stopped here for croissants and other yummy pastries before boarding the train and they were so good. The almond croissant was my personal favorite, but they were all so yummy. The brioche was also very good. You can't go wrong with any of them to be honest. The service was good as well. Stop in for your pastry needs, you will be glad that you did.

It is such a relief to find a really excellent coffee. Strong and creamy caption. Way better choice than the average high street chains.

Incredibly rude staff and establishment not friendly to disabled people at all. I was helping a disabled member of my family with their bags as they waent to the bathroom, and put something down on one of the tables so that I could move their bags. I was told I cant put anything on the tables. I explained that I had to put it on the table to move my disabled family members bag. The waiter told me "that's not my problem". Disgusting

Being someone who makes my own French brioche, I was drawn by the raving reviews to try the brioche, but I was rather disappointed. 😔 At £3.20, the plain brioche was a large bun with hardly any hint of buttery taste. The bun itself also lacked the bouncy bread structure expected of a proper brioche. It's just a fancier and bigger version of pseudo 'brioche' burger buns one gets at some slightly upmarket restaurants. Service was less than lukewarm; I didn't feel that the staff wanted my business, unlike many other cafes at the station. The whole experience was really underwhelming and I'm afraid I will not return.

A really nice shop, amaizing deliciouse sandwiches and mini cakes. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The music is really nice as well. Overall a great experience, I will definitely be back very soon

Lovely coffee but the star of the show is the sweet bread and merveilleux. The bread is delicious and still warm went down well with the coffee. Also I had a cherry merveilleux and it was beyond delicious. You can see the staff making them too. A real treat

First visit on Sunday and will be back. Had tea and the chocolate brioche - which was divine. Sat in the chairs just outside. Would be nice if they had more space and comfortable chairs inside.

The place is in a train station but the baked goods are great. We got the chocolate brioch buns for the road and it’s soft and tender and rich in flavor. Great place to stop and grab a snack.

Fantastic staff very polite and welcoming food is amazing and the coffee is the best.

I bought a few brioche buns and was eating the chocolate ganache bun but had to take a picture to leave a review. Just have to say it's amazing and tasty. I can't wait to try the plain brioche buns!! You must try!! Very fresh!

I found actual stones/gravel in their cramiques, luckily I didn’t break a tooth on these. I contacted them several weeks ago to complain - got no response.

I do not understand great reviews everyone writes to this place. I tried today brioche at this place, and it was very ordinary brioche, I had many times brioches that were much better

These little desserts are my favorite when in Paris, and I was so happy to see them in London! Absolutely lovely , and the coffee and brioche were very good as well.
