I can count on one hand how many times my expectations have been surpassed when it comes to hotels - Claridge’s is one of them. Everything was flawlessly executed, from the meet and greet service at the airport, to the chauffeur, to the hotel check-in with Julia (she’s so lovely), everyone was so hospitable and on point. Everyone knew we were tired from the 12+ hour flight and they didn’t chat too long or keep us waiting at all, and I am so appreciative of that conscientiousness. Even the bags came up within a minute or two of our arrival into the room. Everything I had wishfully requested, from the hairdryer to the quiet room location, was provided. I think they’ve ruined me for all other hotels. They’ve absolutely earned a newly loyal guest. Edited to add: Nigel and Miles in concierge are incredible, personable, knowledgeable people. Really appreciated all their help during our stay in London.

Having recently hosted two events at Claridge's, I can confidently say this iconic London establishment surpasses its already stellar reputation. From the initial planning stages through execution, Claridge's delivers an experience that transcends the conventional understanding of luxury hospitality. The venue's timeless Art Deco elegance creates an atmosphere of refined sophistication that immediately impresses guests upon arrival. What truly distinguishes Claridge's, however, is its exceptional staff. The events team demonstrates remarkable professionalism, approaching each interaction with genuine warmth while maintaining impeccable attention to detail. Their communication throughout the planning process was consistently clear, responsive, and thoughtful—anticipating needs before they arose. The preparation for both events was flawless. Every element, from room setup to audiovisual requirements, was executed with precision. The catering deserves special mention, with each dish reflecting the kitchen's commitment to culinary excellence. The service staff moved with choreographed efficiency that never felt rushed or intrusive. For high-profile events where impression matters, Claridge's offers that rare combination of prestigious heritage and contemporary service excellence. The venue's ability to make each guest feel personally attended to, despite managing multiple complex events simultaneously, demonstrates their mastery of the hospitality craft. Claridge's doesn't merely meet expectations—it redefines them. For those seeking an event venue that will leave guests with lasting positive impressions, Claridge's stands as London's premier choice.

I have used the hotel and bar for over 20 years but I haven’t travel to london since lockdown. I visited the bar for the first time since and was very disappointed with the service. My Negroni tasted more of an Amaretto taste, when queried I was told it was made correctly. The men’s room had a very strong smell of urine. Bar person suggested one drink was not enough and I should order another. Completely disappointed, I was looking forward to my visit after so long but will not be using this establishment again.

Everything has been said before about this fantastic place, but nothing prepared us for the kindness and sweetness of the staff - whatever their role might be. We were staying as a once in a lifetime treat for our 40th anniversary and it could not have been more special. Claridge’s, Claridge’s, Claridge’s Claridge’s has a name second to none, we all know about its history and its recent history on the refurbishment, the attention to detail is high, the building and interior design and layout old and new is just fantastic and the cleanliness throughout was above excellent. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening meal were all exceptional, and I can tell you, that you will never leave Claridge’s hungry! The jewel in the crown for me is their staff!!! From the time we turned up outside the building we were met with not just friendly staff but loving and caring people genuinely wanting to help. The reception team and even the security are more than well trained they seem handpicked for their genuine personalities as I cannot see how you can train this into so many people. If they have trained them, then the training is outstanding! The waiters and waitress’s were one step ahead and very welcoming and friendly, nothing was trouble for them, and they were not over friendly either. Big thank you to Jack that gave us a fantastic tour around the building giving us interesting facts about the hotel, he was so open and friendly and had an inspirational attitude towards beginning his journey as a staff member at the hotel. And thank you to all the Claridge’s family that made us feel at home, the wedding gifts and little extras were much appreciated. It was a magical stay and my wife did not want to leave and even shed happy tears in the taxi home. You can put millions into a building but if the people in it are not right, I would not be back, but in this case, I will be back for sure.

We went for my wife's birthday and the whole experience was faultless. The staff were superb (particularly Sarah on reception) who made my wife feel really special. The painters room cocktail bar was excellent again with superb service followed by Dinner in Claridge's restaurant which was excellent. The spa is gorgeous with excellent staff and we enjoyed breakfast in the foyer. For the accommodation we were upgraded to a balcony room in the refurbished part and it was without a doubt the most wonderful room we have stayed in. High quality furnishings mixing modern and Art Deco along with a gorgeous bathroom and very large separate dressing room. The pictures on the web site don't convey just how spacious and luxury the rooms are (of course I expect they vary so can only comment on ours). I cannot find a single fault and while not cheap it certainly is great value for money to have an experience so perfect. Location being 2 mins from Bond Street Elizabeth line was also ideal.

Tried the afternoon tea, was expecting amazing flavours but it was quite underwhelming. The desserts looked creative and pretty but lacked overall flavour. Stayed overnight at Room 431. In comparison to other 5 star hotels like The Savoy, Mandarin Oriental, Raffles OWO and The Goring, I felt the service at Claridges was somewhat underwhelming and not at par as other luxury hotels in London. Those hotels really go all out to make a guest feel great. Don't get me wrong, the reception, concierge at Claridge's were polite but it really wasn't anything special and somewhat unforgettable. Perhaps because it was always so busy that guests just feel like they're a number. The room was well equipped and very comfortable, but the sauna and spa was lacking in many amenities like disposable hair brush, swim suit dryers. Amenities that the Raffles at OWO provides. I was surprised also that the milk in our room had gone off, it had curd and was bad. I informed reception and all we got was 'Oh sorry' and that was it. I really expected more from Claridge's. Additionally, I didn't expect to queue 1/2 hour for breakfast outside the restaurant watching others finish their meal. There were lots of other guests queueing behind us and the queue was moving very slow. I get it that it's the weekend and the hotel was full but I really did not enjoy that experience. Food was ok I had the Japanese breakfast. In conclusion I probably wouldn't choose the Claridge's again because you can get much better service in other luxury hotels in and around London.

I've recommended Claridges as the best afternoon tea in London for many years but my latest visit was so disappointing. Instagrammers seem to have taken over the lobby, it was full of people taking pictures by the tree even security on the stairs. The queue for the ladies toilets was ridiculous out into the corridor. I've been to Claridges many times, but on this occasion it just lost its spark for me. Even the actual afternoon tea although looked pretty the cakes weren't something I would say yum to. Dry edges on sandwiches and bland. After paying over £300 for two afternoon teas, I normally leave on a high but felt down right disappointed it was not the special experience it once was.

We recently visited the hotel bar at the claridge’s. Upon seated down, we were told straight away that they needed the table back in 1.5 hrs. Given the busy Xmas season, we were ok with it. Then the service was a real let down: during the whole time, we were not asked by staff if we needed any water, and no one came to refill our snack bowl. It was difficult to get the staff’s attention throughout the whole time. After one hour, a gentleman came to us and announced that they needed the table back in 30 min. He said it in such a loud and brash way and in front of everyone which made us felt embarrassed. We wish he could have handled it with more discretion. We left after 2 rounds of drinks - honestly, a glass of champagne at £35, you’d expect the service to be a bit more professional and discerning.

I haven’t stayed at this hotel, but I saw online that Paul Smith decorated their main Christmas tree, and I couldn’t resist going to see it in person. Honestly, they did an amazing job; the tree looks unique and beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail. But what really stood out was how festive the entire hotel felt. The Christmas decorations throughout the lobby and other spaces are just as stunning, with a cozy and elegant vibe that makes the place feel extra special for the holidays. I recently attended an event at Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair, London, for the Marketing Group of Great Britain. The hotel is stunning, with grand decor and an elegant, festive atmosphere. The event was held in a spacious dining hall near the ballroom, with excellent facilities including a cloakroom, changing area, and clean toilets. The staff were courteous, professional, and attentive, ensuring drinks were refilled promptly and service was efficient. The Christmas dinner was a set menu, with a delicious crab starter and traditional turkey main. While the sides were tasty, the turkey was slightly dry, and the dessert, Christmas pudding, wasn’t my favourite, though the brandy sauce was lovely. Mini desserts served with tea and coffee at the end were a charming touch. My vegetarian friend found his portion size too small, which was disappointing. Overall, while the food could be improved, the beautiful location, excellent service, and festive touches made for an enjoyable evening. I’d love to return, perhaps to dine at one of their restaurants or stay overnight.

My husband and I first went to Claridge's for afternoon tea early on in our relationship. A few years later, after getting engaged, we thought we'd look around their function rooms, just to see what it was like and Cat (the events coordinator) was so lovely and friendly, and the rooms were so beautiful, every other venue we looked around just didn't compare, so we ended up getting married there. The whole planning process was a breeze, and Cat and the rest of the staff were amazing, taking all the stress out it. Every time we visited we were treated so well (given free champagne, an Easter egg, etc.), and their in-house choreographer (Marius) was so lovely we ended up doing more lessons. Whenever we go back, even just for a meal, they always treat us so well. I would 100% recommend Claridge's, its the best London hotel by far, and worth every penny.

We begin with scallop in its shell with a little apple, a little horseradish, and – lest we’re feeling chilly – a cup of hot scallop broth. Classically paired with von Kesselstatt Riesling Spätlese, it’s both delicious and pretty. A speck or two of salt is visible: any more would be too much. Humm works at that level of precision. There follows chawanmushi, whose ingredients – king crab, black truffle, daikon, silky custard – would work any which way. Cornish crab is simple bliss, the sparkling flakes of white meat piled on to a tiling of cucumber slices. Seared Portland scallops with pink grapefruit, radicchio, broad beans and hollandaise offers more complex, bitter pleasures but the same commitment to best-in-class ingredients.

Well, we were about to drop $2k on a suite at this hotel only to discover that you have to book everything in advance. Book your breakfast time. Book your lunch time. Book your evening meal. But, get this.... you even have to book to get a drink at their bar!?! Only to then discover they are entirely 'booked up' two weeks a head. So, that means you can make a room reservation only to discover as a paying guest (at this 5* hotel) that normal amenities won't be available to you. Seriously, who is required to book a drink at the bar two weeks ahead of time? Hello... it's almost 2024, we're not in Covid-19 pandemic times any more. The hotel even has lots of rooms available for the date required, so it's not like they're fully booked. Clearly they are taking far too many bookings from non-guests and folk off the streets. Is that greed at the detriment of hotel guests? Probably. Sorry, we can't stay here. There are far too many other 5* London hotels that let you visit their bar whenever you like to purchase a $25 drink, and go down to breakfast when you want. You don't need to 'book' ahead. Who on earth wants all these kinds of unnecessary restrictions in this day and age? I have no idea in two weeks time when I might want a glass of wine at the bar or what time I may wake up and want breakfast! Shame!

I can't even praise everyone enough for being so kind, generous, considerate and overall amazing! My mother-in-law, Luch, wanted a special day with her favourite girls at a special place so we went to the Claridge's or March 6, 2023 for afternoon tea. Luch was on oxygen and wheelchair and they have made everything very comfortable for her, asking her frequently if she needed anything; they even took the spare oxygen tank in our car when hers ran out. We booked the Reading Room so we can have our own space as Luch cannot be too exposed and Leo was our personal waiter who did an amazing job and was very entertaining and professional. The food was undoubtedly scrumptious and the pastries and the wide array of tea were outstanding! We loved every bite and every drop! At the end of the tea party, they handed Luch a care package and that just melted everyone's hearts witnessing how thoughtful they were. Luch verbally said to them, "Thank you for making this extra special, this is my goodbye to my girls." My mother-in-law passed peacefully a week after, wearing her favourite cashmere socks which was gifted by the Claridges team. This was her last time out and you didn't just deliver but surpassed every expectation we ever could imagine, you went far and beyond. We can't thank you enough, Claridge's Team.

One of the finest properties I have ever stayed in, right in the middle of London where in a minute you can be at the busiest places and the moment you step in to your room it’s all nice and quiet that you don’t want to peek outside the window to see the urbanized world of buildings only. Bar is always busy but busy because of the beauty of it. From the moment you step through its doors, you're greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. Duty manager Amin and his team were super helpful and left no stone unturned to make our stay unforgettable.

It was a shared birthday lunch. It was nice, nothing was wrong. Tick. But probably never doing it again because it was lacking that special something.

From the moment I arrived until my departure, my stay at Claridge’s Hotel in London was nothing short of spectacular. Celebrating my birthday in such an iconic establishment made my special day even more memorable. The hotel exudes elegance and charm, with its luxurious accommodations and impeccable service. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. A special shout-out to Amine, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. His attention to detail, kindness, and exceptional service truly stood out and added a personal touch to my birthday celebrations. The ambiance, the exquisite dining options, and the overall experience at Claridge’s have left a lasting impression on me. It’s clear why this hotel is a favorite among those who appreciate the finer things in life. I can confidently say that whenever I’m in London, Claridge’s will be my go-to destination.
