Good variation of food .nice veg choice . Food was very nice .Staff could do with smileing a bit and stop hovering waiting to take your plates away . It wasn't bust when we were there so no need to feel rushed
Our room was in the original part of the Inn. I considered leaving and finding another hotel as this room was very outdated and damp. I dropped some powder on the carpet and wiped it up with a wet washcloth as I always cleanup out of respect. Needless to say the washcloth was black from the dirty carpet. Our air conditioner was definitely not working correctly and would not keep the room cool. We were exhausted when we arrived and had traveled most of the day so we didn’t want to change rooms. I was very disappointed with my stay and will not be returning. We stayed in room # 152.
We've been meaning to visit Baker's for some time now due to recommendations from family and friends. We were not disappointed. Parking is difficult even at quiet times but we did find somewhere on the road opposite. The food and decor were excellent. We had breakfast but they have an extensive lunch and evening menu. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was quiet that morning so I can't really comment on the atmosphere. We will definitely call again this time for lunch or in the evening
Popped by Hambleton Hall while visiting Rutland Water—stunning place with peaceful grounds, great views of the water, plus a pool and tennis court. The village is lovely too. Can’t wait to come back and book in!
Angela’s is a true gem! The food was absolutely amazing, with seafood that was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the best of local ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal by the sea. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Margate!
One of the best vegan pies I have ever tried! I had the Ron Bourginon. The vegan gravy was also really good. I also tried the vegan porky pie which was delicious. A hidden gem in Winchester, well worth a visit.
We stayed over for one night's bed and breakfast. We had our evening meal in the pub. Everything was fantastic. Food was plentiful and tasty, the onsite brewed IPA is an excellent pint and slipped down very easily. The room was basic but it was comfortable, spotless with everything we needed. Okay so there was no TV but we were there for one night's accommodation and to meet friends so it wasn't a big deal . They did have a TV in the room we stayed in last time we visited. Breakfast was in the newly refurbished dining room. We chose our cooked breakfast the night before. The cooked option was beautiful, well cooked using local ingredients.
Honestly - you cannot go wrong staying here, but book well ahead. The accommodation is limited, I think 3 rooms and a family room. Great family business in a fantastic setting.
We stumbled upon the café by chance. Parking on site worked perfectly. The staff were so incredibly kind and helpful. They helped us with the translation and were so calm and patient with us and the children... they were never annoyed or stressed, quite the opposite. They took their time with us and always gave us their time. It was a really great place. Everything was very clean, including the restrooms. The staff kept checking in on us. The food was amazing, delicious, and beautifully presented. We were served warm (empty) plates beforehand. We felt very comfortable, thank you so much for the lovely stay. Highly recommended!
