The best restaurants serving African food in England

Nos encontramos a la 1. 30 pm como un grupo de cinco, se sentó fuera como se había dispuesto anteriormente - todo muy bonito y comenzó bien. Pero fue cuesta abajo desde allí. Una persona se arrancó un chasquido de 15 cm en los pantalones de la esquina afilada de la mesa de metal y a otra se le volcó una bebida mientras el camarero iba a servir a otra. Tardaron 40 minutos en tomar las primeras bebidas. Tuvimos que pedir dos veces para pedir comida y a pesar de que explicamos que estábamos en un tiempo limitado, tomó 90 minutos desde sentarse para que la comida saliera. Solo estábamos pidiendo mezzes así que no platos complicados. No salieron todos los alimentos ni las bebidas, ni todo el pedido había sido enviado a la cocina. Tuvimos que revisar el proyecto de ley por tema, ya que parecía que no se nos iba a facturar correctamente. Tuvimos que argumentar fuertemente para cualquier recompensa por la ropa estropeada del derrame. No había nada para el pantalón roto ya que "el camarero no lo vio pasar". No es un evento feliz. La comida no estaba mal, pero no vale la pena el resto de la experiencia.

Amazing x 100% recommend going here. If you have not tried Ethiopian/Eritrean food you have truly missed out on a treat. I can’t believe more of it is not about. Went with daughter who had stayed in both countries and said food was as she remembered so authentic too . The tea is excellent accompaniment to the food. Go and Enjoy

Delicious food and friendly staff. As soon as we went in it smelt so good. Food was authentic and top quality. Next time in Middlesbrough I will be back

The worst Nigerian suya I’ve ever ordered. Not only was it frozen, it wasn’t microwaved properly. The puff puff was an eye sore, probably fried a week before and was microwaved atleast six times. The absolute worst and a waste of my money AVOID!!!!!

Frente al centro de artes Tobacco Factory en el distrito de Southville, este se anuncia como un restaurante meze, pero las porciones son generosas y tienen un sabor delicioso. Un refrescante rociador de limón y menta hizo que las cosas comenzaran con buen pie, seguido rápidamente de sabroso y más - pan plano con zatar. El excelente falafel vino con una deliciosa salsa de harissa verde con semillas de granada, el plato de berenjena y garbanzo fue simplemente así. Y nuestra tarta de chocolate compartida con salsa de dátiles y un lado de casa - hecho helado terminó la comida muy bien.

This is one of my favourite restaurants to go to, I've been multiple times with family and friends. the service is incredible, the staff are so genuine, kind and generous, giving huge portions of food for everyone. Now the food, the FOOOOD!!! It's incredible, the flavours are authentic to East Africa and Yemen, the spice levels are high, which is perfect for me and my family, who exclusively eat spicy foods. the food also arrived extremely quickly, within less than 10 minutes. The restaurant interior is clean and smells great, the seating is comfortable, andnthey accommodate for large groups aswell. I always recommend this place to anyone and everyone I meet. 10/10 food, experience and service.

We had a fantastic meal tonight at Orit’s Ethiopian Restaurant. We ordered a sampler menu, with both meat and vegetarian dishes. The food was excellent, the service quick, and they were very responsive to food allergies. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back. A meal for three was around 40 pounds, extremely good value. Bathrooms were very clean as well for those who value such things.

La bonita decoración y ambiente acogedor, el personal era muy amable y nos ayudó a que nuestra mente en lo que a la orden, que no era una tarea fácil ya que mi especial y me encanta la comida eritreos demasiado! Ya tengo ganas de volver otra vez y darnos un capricho algunos más!

Bisha es uno de los mejores restaurantes eritreos que tenemos en Londres, querido por la comunidad eritrea y popular entre muchos otros. He tenido muchas noches felices aquí, pero esta vez fue realmente excepcional. Traje a un buen amigo, y pedimos un combo – había tanta comida deliciosa que mi amigo incluso se llevó a casa un suministro para dos días en una bolsa de perro! La comida era excepcional, y estoy realmente orgulloso del propietario y el personal dedicado. Es un lugar donde puedo llevar con confianza a cualquier invitado, sabiendo que se irá impresionado.

I wanted time to reflect on our dining experience before sending this review. It was a party of six for a birthday celebration arriving at 6.30pm to a welcoming host. The restaurant has a large TV, clean, decorated beautifully and has a homely feel. The restaurant had no other customers and very cold which we told the host but nothing was offered so we kept our coats on. I love Ethiopian food but it was new to the rest of the party so the host suggested a platter of all the dishes served at the restaurant and assured us that there would be plenty. Sadly, when the food arrived it was cold or luke warm together with the plates and injera. Also, the amount was insufficient for 6 adults although he did reheat dishes. It’s was clear that the host was the only person there and the food was not freshly prepared and cooked but reheated in a microwave. Disappointingly, the host would not acknowledge the concerns voiced therefore sadly we will not be returning but hopefully this will help with improving customer service.

My friends and I had Christmas Lunch here, in 2022, it was beautiful, we booked somewhere else for 2023, no comparison at all. We decided to book again for our 2024 Christmas Lunch and we were not disappointed, food was served piping hot, on hot plates, turkey was very succulent, veg cooked to perfection, if I had 1 minor criticism it would be that the Brussels sprouts could have been cooked for slightly longer as they were very hard, other than that, it was perfection all they way, 2 of us had sticky ginger cake and 1 of us had Lemon & Lime Cheesecake, all absolutely beautiful. Staff were very attentive without being over the top, all in all we had a fantastic Christmas meal at a very reasonable price and we will definitely be returning next year. Thank you so much.

Fui a este restaurante con mi familia para celebrar mi cumpleaños. El restaurante es pequeño y acogedor. El anfitrión / servidor era muy acogedor. La comida era fantástica. Tengo dos hijos que son exigentes comiendo, uno es más exigente que el otro. Ambos niños disfrutaron mucho de la comida, especialmente porque podían comer con las manos. Todos estamos deseando visitar de nuevo.
