Lekki Restaurant & Bar in Hackney

The worst Nigerian suya I’ve ever ordered. Not only was it frozen, it wasn’t microwaved properly. The puff puff was an eye sore, probably fried a week before and was microwaved atleast six times. The absolute worst and a waste of my money AVOID!!!!!

Please avoid this place at all costs. Second visit here. The restaurant this time was dirty! Open boxes of fresh food left open in the summer air left on the tables. The kitchen when I looked in was utter filth. Floor needed a good scrub. This place is in need of a health inspection urgently The staff were beyond rude. After I got my food, they said their card machine was broken. I asked if I could give a bank transfer instead. They apparently only accepted cash. The manager (I assume owner) came from the kitchen and said they do bank transfer. The place is clearly trying to not pay their taxes as last time their card machine was working just fine. To top it off, the egusi and pounded yam was utter DISGUSTING! WORST RESTAURANT IN LONDON. Would only recommend if you want to get food poisoning. Safe to say, I won't be coming here again. Unprofessional on all levels.

Ordered jollof rice with chicken suya. It also came with fried plantains. This dish is a huge portion and definitely fills you up! The food was good, although I was somehow expecting more flavour from the jollof rice and suya (to be fair, I'd only ever tried jollof rice and suya once before, in a "modern" Nigerian restaurant that had super delicious rice and suya. But perhaps that wasn't authentic Nigerian food, I don't know). I also ordered a beef meat pie to take away for my sister. She said it was good. I'd definitely want to come back here again if I get a chance, to try the other foods on the menu.

I got into the restaurant at exactly 7:35pm on the 3rd of February and I tried to make an order but I was told to give them a minute, I sat there for 1 hour …at 8:35 a waitress walks up to me and with no apology whatsoever asks to take my order. Waitresses should be fired and the owners should reevaluate the purpose of that restaurant. I don’t RECOMMEND.

Absolutely delicious food at a very reasonable price (particularly for London!). The restaurant owner was very friendly and attentive, and the meals were prepared pretty quick. Really nice atmosphere with the latest afrobeats hits in the background! Will definitely go back!

Very friendly staff and food is amazing 😍 I would recommend it was worth the Travel and the portion sizes are huge.

We didn't know what to expect but we were determined to give it a try. With nothing to compare it to, I simply say that the food was pretty hearty. The proprietor guided our choices and even gave us an extra serving of our favourite dish to take home. You can't beat that.

Tasty authentic Nigerian food. First time for me and loved it. Very friendly and welcoming place. Great people.
