Definitely recommend this traditional Ethiopian Abyssinian restaurant. Nice atmosphere very friendly staff who explains the food and culture as gpt chatting about foods and their culture. Foods is very tasty and delicious as is the coffee for after. It is a experience and highly recommended trying this restaurant out. Thank you for the food and culture experience.

Gorgeous, good quality food. The service was really friendly and beautifully presented. This was the second season we’ve visited.

Excellent food, Hatem the chef is very friendly and goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. He is passionate about his place of origin and it shows in his culinary skills.

Such a good meal! Very well seasoned meat. The fries were so good too. The mac balls were insane! Basically all round super yummy food! We all enjoyed our meals (table of 9) The service was great! Staff attentive & smiley. Highly recommend :)

Visited at lunchtime for the set menu with wine. This had been on my list for a while to visit and so here is some pros and improvements from my experience: Pros: - Restaurant was clean and inviting and the table well laid out - Food was excellent and the dishes which came out were very tasty Improvements: - The service was slower than expected on the day unfortunately. - The server spoke so quietly when explaining the wine I couldn’t hear them and had to keep asking them to speak up. Voice projection in customer service is so important I feel. - Team members wearing jeans and dirty trainers. Just a personal preference but with fine dining I think smart is preferable. We paid the 17.5% service which equated to over £80. Was the service exceptional to warrant this? No it wasn’t and if I visit again and nothing has changed I wouldn’t pay it.

We would TOTALLY agree with the One review. A gem of a find. It has been a very long time since we have enjoyed such finger-licking (yes, we had the tiger prawns; exceptional, as were the samosas!) unpretentious, tasty, expertly prepared, top quality food, for a very reasonable price. All freshly prepared, as we waited. Met with a warm welcome, with an abundance of enthusiasm to check we were enjoying our flavoursome Portuguese fayre. Our taste buds had a full workout! Our hosts are rightfully proud of their mama’s culinary skills and the evident love and care she lavishes on her creations. The menu is simple, but powerful. We will definitely be back for more. Es la primera vez que pruebo comida etíope y no decepcionó. Ambiente encantador, la comida era increíble y el servicio de los propietarios era brillante. Teníamos el plato de compartir para dos y la cantidad de comida era genial. Bien vale la pena el viaje desde Kent! Recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que quiera probar la comida tradicional etíope.

Esta es la 4ª vez que he visitado. Siempre tengo el plato vegetariano seguido de café. El chef asa los frijoles ella misma mientras comes. Maravillosa variedad de gustos. Bien vale la pena la visita! !

Good food, caters for meat eaters and vegetarians - relatively modestly priced and healthy food. One recommend to those people who classify themselves as unadventurous as the food is not too spicey.

Muy recomendable. La comida era deliciosa (fuimos a la sucursal de la calle Hanbury) , y las porciones eran enormes - tuvimos las albóndigas seguido de un plato grande con injera, y era más que suficiente para nosotros dos. Y la hospitalidad era de primera - el propietario nos recibió, explicó la comida, y en general nos trató como viejos amigos.

Todo fue excelente, una de las mejores comidas que he tenido en mi vida. Todo fue perfecto, desde la comida hasta el servicio. Muy recomendable para todos los amantes de la comida.

Finally went in and as hoped, had a wonderful experience. You won't find any processed food here, only freshly made traditional food we all used to know and love; real vegetables, bread made in-house and all cooked fresh to order. The food was wonderful. Had the veg discovery plate and every last mouthful was delicious. The restaurant is clean and homely - it's all about the food. We were offered plates and cutlery but chose to eat using just the bread to take the food. Staff very nice, lots of customers from East Africa enjoying a family meal and I will absolutely be back. Great food, also a good dining experience and reasonably priced. Fresh, home made food to be appreciated.
