The best restaurants serving Vietnamese food in Hackney London

I’ve tried several Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland Road and this is, by far, the best. Cosy space, friendly and efficient service and the food… amazing! Spring rolls, Pho, vegetarian option and claypot rice all to die for. Try it out. You won’t regret it!

I need my comfort food in the form of a noddle soup, and this restaurant has become my go-to in this neighborhood. I’ve tried different variations of the beef in the pho. They’re all tasty!

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food!!

Pho is decent, a bit bland and not enough noodles. Pork Chop is really good. Overall, food is satisfactory. However, BE WARNED HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! The Hispanic female cashier/server that took our order via phone was highly unprofessional and rude when I went to pick up the food and told her she got the order wrong. She even repeated what we ordered on the phone, yet when I got there to pick it up, one of the order was the wrong item. Instead of offering to replace it with the correct order, she snapped with an attitude and said "well if you want your item you have to wait additional 10 minutes" in a disgruntle manner without any apology or professionalism. When I addressed to the manager how she had no regard for proper customer service, all he said was "I'm sorry" and that was it. I've been in the retail industry myself, including food industry as a waiter (including Pizza Hut, Red Lobsters, Champps, Clyde's, Hilton Hotel, Restaurant in Rockefeller, NYC) for over 8 years and never have I treated any customer with disrespect and with such negative attitude. When I told her "instead of throwing attitude in my direction to a customer, the right approach would be is to apologize and suggest on how to resolve the situation" and make sure the customer feels welcomed and encourage for a return, but instead she replied by saying "I'm not apologizing to you!" and just walked away while giggling to her co-worker. This experience was enough to never go back, and support their business ever again, and I am writing this review to warn other customers to be aware of how they treat their customers!!!!

Gran ambiente, me encanta la decoración. El servicio fue amable y rápido también. La porción de comida era generosa y deliciosa. No esperaba un sabor tan auténtico a la comida que se ofrece ahora moderna, pero se ve. Por lo general, voy a una tienda a unas pocas tiendas de aquí, ¡pero esta será mi visita a partir de ahora!

One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in Shoreditch. A great menu and reasonably priced. They also do great cocktails, or bottomless sparkling water if you’re not drinking.

La comida aquí es deliciosa. Muy buen servicio, el personal amable y siempre deliciosa comida. Tuvimos entrantes, platos principales y postres - todo excepcional. Muy recomendable.

I went to eat at Tay Do cafe on 02/03/25 and the food still remains very tasty. We attended as a group of 7 for lunch and managed to get a table without pre-booking. The food came out hot and we didn't have to wait long. I would recommend the banh xeo, bo la lop, grilled quail and vietnamese papaya salad. The service was polite and efficient. I would definitely recommend and will be returning to Tay Do cafe in the near future.

Another pleasant evening at Tre Viet. No one does tofu pancakes like these guys. Great food, friendly service, amazing value but I was sad to see it wasn't very full on a Saturday night. A true gem that people in Hackney, or those just passing through, should make a beeline for!

Always good to have a steaming hot bowl of Bun Bo Hue

We dined a few times when everyone else was closed; they serve standard Kingsland road fare; many dishes are definitely not cooked fresh - taste like re-heated meals. Not to mention a wrong charges issue. Lesson: don't leave it late.
