Friendly staff and the manager is a character. Loved everything we ordered, so delish. So happy to find banh cuon here and the bun Bo hue and banh mi was elite.

Had high expectations after seeing the other reviews but was unfortunately let down by the food and to an extent by the service. We ordered spring rolls, soft shell crab and bun cha. I found the spring rolls too thick and the fillings were too dry. Soft shell crab and bun cha was also not flavourful. Re service, it took a while to get their attention to pay and also the waiter was abit rude about allowing my friend and I to pay separate different amounts. He only allowed split payments but eventually agreed to us paying different amounts.

A delicious restaurant every time you go. Staff members are friendly and personable, especially Van who takes extra effort to make you laugh and ensure you have a fantastic dining experience!

Horrible and Exploitative Workplace. Bullying Owner and Manager. Do not pay employees. I worked here as a waiter a year ago, and it was definitely the worst experience of employment I have ever had. I feel deeply disrespected, bullied and betrayed. Although I had devoted myself wholeheartedly days and nights to the job, the manager reviewed badly to the owner about me as lacking the learning attitude and responsibility at work after I had quit. He ended up not fully paying me, without any further talk or consideration. All I received was his rude and angry message accusing me of lacking dedication and a £100 payment out of his pride to cover my travel expenses despite the fact that I even spent a day working freely for him as a volunteer to faster get familiar with the job. They were both every bossy and bullying. The manager, named Hien, was full of personal resentment. Despite having some experience and skills, she showed no respect to other team members, mostly students, and kept shouting at us using discourteous language over negligible issues whenever she wanted. She scarcely gave recognition to the staff however hard they worked, continuously claiming herself as 'systematic' and 'highly-educated' while she was indeed the one who needed training the most on the most basic righteous manners at work, on how to be a team player and how to care for others' well-being. She also lacked the courage to take responsibility and to admit her own fault. Although I tried my best to follow her instructions and usually showed my kindness to soften her anger and please her, she didn’t understand or appreciate it. Even worse, she talked badly behind customers and treated them discriminately. The owner, Viet Anh, had only words. He believed whatever the manager reported without feeling necessary to further consider. When we first met, he told me that he wanted to bring happiness to others and create social values. I trusted him and sincerely dedicated myself to working and simultaneously finding a way to improve the toxic environment. But later I realized he actually had no actual will to create good things. He totally changed his attitude and became horrible to me after hearing some people talking about my poor performance, without any careful consideration or a decent exchange about the problem. I found out all of his concern was his own benefit and he was indeed the root of all problems. He kept talking about meditation, promoting 'mindful eating' on his website while his ability of self-control was very low and couldn't even be able to simply sit down and decently talk. He felt good about his generosity while no basic benefit of a legal worker in the UK was met at his workplace. He talked about kindness while feeling O.K. to disrespect his team members, to show power and to refuse to pay hardworking employees. He thought it was acceptable to hold an egoic idea of coming in to the workplace and said he didn’t need anybody while tens of people were working days and nights to help him make money. Initially, I just wanted to get rid of these things as I didn’t want to waste any of my time on those people. However, considering all the detrimental effects it has on my mental health so far, I think those people and their ways of doing business needed to be exposed as a warning for them to rectify their behaviours as well as to protect present and future employees. I strongly advise you guys to be humble and learn more, to see what true kindness and a decent business look like. If you put yourself above others, hold on to power and turn your back on your employees, sooner or later, you will get the consequences. I've been through some Vietnamese restaurants before. They might be underpaying, lacking benefits for employees, but I had never ever felt deeply disrespected and despised as at this place! We are legal workers in the UK, and we come here to cooperate with you, not begging you for the job! So, be respectful!

The food was amazing, tasty, fresh and authentic. We have chosen a few small plates to begin with which we're very tasty. The staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. The place was busy when we went bur they still managed to find us a table.

What a perfect dining experience. Lovely atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and yummy authentic Vietnamese dishes just like the flavours I had in Vietnam. My only slight criticism would be the nuoc cham (Vietnamese dipping sauce) is very bland and could do with being a lot stronger with the ingredients.

Good food, but I’ve been kept waiting for my food at the table for nearly one hour, that’s really upset my foodie mood.

Stopped in for a Saturday dinner and was blown away - incredibly tasty and fresh food at an equally incredible price point. All dishes were delicious. Friendly staff and comfy environs cemented the experience. I would recommend this place with pleasure and look forward to returning. Perhaps my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the city now.

Ah, I must say, the search for the finest Vietnamese restaurant in London has been quite the adventure, but I've stumbled upon a gem that truly tantalises the taste buds!

Excellent flavours, fresh food and friendly service. The pho was absolutely delicious. They were careful about food intolerances. We will return.

There are a lot of Vietnamese’s in this area - however, I have now been here twice and others in the locale - without doubt this is the best Vietnamese food (and also service) in london I’ve experienced in 5 years of living here. I come here for my birthday as it’s such a great experience and will come back again.

Well decorated place with an extensive vegan menu. Super friendly and fun staff! I highly recommend it. If you don't tolerate spiciness well, I don't recommend curry. Super delicious vegan fish.

Had our New Year’s Eve dinner here and it did not disappoint!!!! Was hard to choose which Vietnamese to pick as there are so many in this area but I can highly recommend this one. We had the summer rolls which were so fresh and came with juicy prawns and a creamy avocado sauce. Then the stuffed aubergine which was one of the best sellers and was unique and flavoursome. Also the lemongrass mushroom which was to die for. A young boy with tattoos (sorry we didn’t catch your name) served us and was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!!

I own 6 restaurants in my country, most of them Vietnamese and most of my family eat vegan food. The food in Nom Nom is amazing, legit, such delicious vegan options we were blown away. 10/10.

Such an amazing menu, it was really difficult to choose! But luckily our waiter had great recommendations to help us choose and all the recs were spot on- I had the stuffed aubergine with tofu and it was the best thing we ordered- plus the vegan platter to start 🤤

The best Vietnamese restaurant in the area! Tried almost all Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland road and NomNom is by far my favourite. I keep coming back and it’s consistently great. The food is delicious (especially beef pho and crispy noodles), staff is friendly and attentive, service is quick and now they have completely renovated the place. Definitely recommend!!

The food was very disappointing - flavour free. Service was friendly, but chaotic. Won't go back for sure.

It's a lovely cosy restaurant, The service was good, the food came very fast and the vegan spring rolls - were 10/10 but the vegan Duck curry arrived warm and there were not many vegetables - only a few peppers, but of duck curry was just onion. Just an onion… we did ask for a desert there was no desert at all. Even ice cream or fried banana something simple should be on the menu. Overall I do recommend this place but not the curry.

We had a great time here - lots of unusual Vietnamese dishes to choose from, generous portions and great service. We had beef pho, grilled pork, mango fish and soft shell crab - all great (not mind blowing but very good esp for the price point). Would come back for sure.

Near the Museum of the Home, great for lunch after visiting the museum. Spacious and bright restaurant, good service, fresh and tasty pho.

Phenomenal. I’ve been to a few of the Vietnamese places on this strip, and they never disappoint, but this one was incredible. We had the lime beef and the quail to start, and the mango fish and chicken curry as mains. We also ordered a couple of drinks. 10/10 get the lime beef and the mango fish, they were both incredible, can not recommend enough, the sauces and combinations of flavours were completely different to anything I’ve had before. The quail was also lovely and the sauce it came with was amazing. To drink, I would highly recommend the coco beauty mocktail! The service was fantastic, they seated us right away, even though they were incredibly busy. They were also friendly and took their time despite the dinner rush. I didn’t catch our waiters name but he had glasses and I think an earring, he was absolutely lovely and could not have taken better care of us. We had two starters, two mains, and two drinks, and it came to just under £30pp inc tip, so great value for money.

10/10 (the cocktails are no they best but the rest, 100% quality

I enjoyed the food and the stagg very friend. It is quite a noisy venue with a few noisy groups disturbing the entire restaurant. Sound softer surfaces in the restaurant would help a lot.

We had a classic pho and bac luc lac - shaking beef. As entree Banh Xeo. All very well prepared. Good service.

If you are looking for really great banh cuon, this is the best banh cuon in London I've tried. I've converted my Italian friend to banh cuon too :D

Food was amazing and a service was amazing. I’ve been to Vietnam and this is authentic and delicious, staff had great recommendations too.

What can I say? I have been to Nom Nom's sister restaurant Nem Nem in Islington many times, but came to Nom Nom tonight to be able to seat a larger table for my birthday. I knew already that the food was fantastic enough to keep all 15 of us happy, but the team really shone on customer service. They were so attentive and even had a member of staff nip out to surprise me with a birthday cake. Nem Nem was already my favourite restaurant in London from the quality and affordability of the food, but Nom Nom really outdid themselves with their thoughtfulness on my birthday. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Made an advance booking online last week, they had plenty of time to check my allergies so I waited. They confirmed the reservation days later but didn't say anything about the allergies, so I wrote again to ask whether they would be able to accommodate. I get a phone call days later rudely repeating I have "too many allergies" and that they don't know all the ingredients in the food that their suppliers give them (major red flag), and then they stayed silent waiting for me to answer. What do they expect me to say? Thanks for making me feel bad about something I can't control?? I tried to patiently explain the situation but they kept repeating the above. It was such an unprofessional and tactless conversation, trying to indirectly get me to cancel, so I just cancelled it. It's not worth the risk and it's dubious that they don't know what goes into their food. What a shame.

Cosy and neat atmosphere, really tasty authentic Vietnam food, especially the classic beef noodles(I could drink all the soup as well!) I accidentally spilled my drink and the staff could quickly respond accordingly. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant👍🏻👍🏻

Went for dinner a few weeks ago. The restaurant was fairly busy but the staff were really good at keeping on top of everything. The food was fresh, delicious and authentic. Unfortunately they did not serve dessert when we visited.

Had the classic beef pho and the summer rolls. The pho broth was great, a ton of flavor, well salted. The meat was very beefy. The summer roles came with a chili cream like sauce. They were solid but not exactly what I had expected. Ingredients tasted fresh, over all a great stop

Love this place, it has become my go-to Vietnamese restaurant on Kingsland road. The chicken wings are some of the best I have ever had, super addictive! Staff always very friendly and serve complimentary prawn crackers.

My favorite restaurant around shoreditch The Phos are really tasty. They have a lot of different options and a large selection of vegetarian / vegan dishes. If you go make sure to order the kumquat lemonade especially in warm summer days you will not regret it. Special shoutout to the personal that is very nice and friendly on each ocasion I went I got an exceptional treatment with nice little.jokes from our waiter. Would recommend 100%

Good value for money with tasty food, a bit surprised by the service charge for this style of place. Also there's lots of similar places nearby so will need to visit more to know which is better.

We had fresh nems (spring rolls), beef stew and the Vietnamese shaking beef, served with jasmine rice. It’s both yuuuuuuummmmmmmmmy! Went there after visiting the flower market. They’re busy but we still got seated fast and served fast as well. I shall return! 😅

Have been here twice now and both times the beef stew pho was excellent. Will definitely try and return when I am next in London. Great spring rolls too and the like beef salad also tasty. The staff are friendly and the food comes at a good pace. Can be a little noisy sometimes.

Really delicious food. Felt very authentic

This place is a real gem. It’s on a street with loads of other Vietnamese places though it’s at the very end (walking from Shoreditch) therefore I think less known than other competitors like Song Que etc. They do extra generous small plates + big mains. Everything is wok smoky, crispy, super fresh and flavoursome. We had Beef Stew, Salt and pepper squid, Mango fish (if it’s too fishy, take the skin off) and egg fried rice. Highly recommended - will be coming back for birthdays and many more dinners.

We were standing outside looking at the menu in the window and two Vietnamese men having a smoke break saw us and casually recommended the restaurant, saying it is authentic. Needless to say we were sold! Ended up having an excellent experience at Nom Nom. Food was delicious, so flavoursome and also great value! Service was very friendly. Would definitely go back.

The food does not taste authentic but like something you could make for yourself at home following a BBC good food recipe! Mushroom pho was shockingly bland, poor oyster mushrooms were severely mistreated and soggy!

AMAZING! Food was so so good, especially for veggies. Gave us free prawn crackers. Staff were very smiley and attentive. Some of the best food I've eaten out in ages and very reasonable price.

We were a mixed group of meat eaters and vegetarians and everyone was very happy with their food. The fake meat dishes I had were all amazing. I’ll definitely come back. It’s not BYOB but the wine is reasonable price by the bottle.

Always enjoy my food here. Taste fresh and well flavoured. Customer service is good and the place is nice to relax in.
