Nom Nom Restaurant in Hackney

I need my comfort food in the form of a noddle soup, and this restaurant has become my go-to in this neighborhood. I’ve tried different variations of the beef in the pho. They’re all tasty!

The food was so good! Very impressed with the quality and flavor.

Such a delicious beef pho, and for less than £10 the value for money is amazing. Quick and simple service.

The price is much lower than other stores, so I thought the portion size might be small but it looked cozy so I tried it. The dishes are all filling and delicious, especially recommend bun cha 👍🏻

Food was perfect and delicious, but imagine our surprise at the end when they asked for a bank transfer. It was really disturbing. (Plus we aren’t from UK so we had to pay fees on the transfer) really didn’t appreciated and ruined the experience!

Fantastic authentic Vietnamese cuisine with a modern flair, all for a very reasonable price. The waitress was an absolute characterful delight, sharing mutual disgust regarding one of our dear table guest’s impartiality to coriander. Loses a star for the sluggish service time, as the lovely staff were run off their feet- a grey lining resultant of the establishment’s apparent popularity. Will return.

Delicious Vietnamese food....Def some of the best in London

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Vietnamese restaurant. The quality of the food was excellent, and the price was very reasonable for what you get. The restaurant itself is warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Will definitely be coming back!

I solo dined on a busy Saturday and it worth walking in the cold and rain! I ate far too much; I had egg pancakes with noodles, spring rolls, and a mango and squid salad - all delicious! Heads-up, it's cash only

This restaurant is cash only, so remember to visit the atm beforehand :) Nom Nom food comes out amazingly fast 💨 I believe their beef pho is a little under £10 too. So come here if you want cheap, delicious food 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻💖💖💖 I recommend their starters like spring rolls & mango fish salad

Fantastic food and service. Transported me straight back to the streets of Hanoi. Fragrant, flavourful, but not heavy. Warm and friendly service. All at a super affordable price. Can't recommend this place high enough!

We had high hopes for this place given the great reviews. However, our squid mango salad had rubbery and chewy squid which meant we couldn’t eat it all, was very tough and tasteless. The duck curry tasted like a watery Japanese curry. The pork noodles were nice. We’ve had better elsewhere, maybe we just ordered wrong. Just disappointing for £50 and was a bit shocked to read the hygiene rating of 1 after we’d eaten.

Fantastic friendly fast service. The food was so good! Had the beef stew pho - it had so much meat it was hard to finish it all and the broth was deeelicious. And with all that, so cheap! Great value place, highly recommend.

I‘m a regular to Nom Nom for 4+ years and it reminds me of the Vietnamese food my mom cooks each time. The service is fantastic and the food is super affordable, especially for London! Over the years I’ve seen that Nom Nom grew in popularity and it’s slowly not my little secret anymore.

We really enjoyed our food (banh mi, betel wrapped beef, beef and mushroom rice roll). Service was quick and pleasant and they were very tolerant and friendly with our energetic 2-year-old

Food is good, but the service was very bad. Particularly, after I wanted to pay, and they told me the card machine is not working. I sent a bank transfer of 9.50 (10.69 was with optional service charge), thanked and left. 2 minutes after, the guy is running after me saying that I didn’t pay, although service charge clearly stated as optional. In addition, nit having paid through the card machine means he doesn’t have to pay card fees, POS fees and machine rental fees, and probably won’t pay any VAT on it either, yet was running after me for a single pound of optional service charge like I was some kind of thief. Could have gone back there next time but I’ll choose Bun Bun right next to them, better quality, accept card payments and don’t do shenanigans like this guy

I am visiting London from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, and this place has become a must-do each time! Excellent food, lovely ambiance, and phenomenal customer service! Until next year. Thank you By the way, everything is fantastic except for the Special HOT Baguette. Yes, I said Baguette is a must. I eat it too fast, but I ordered one for my flight tomorrow.

We came here because it serves bun cha ha noi, which not all of the restaurants on this street do. the food is excellent and the prices are very good. The service is quick and friendly. They even have draft beer. The menu is just a little confusing - for example banh mi is classed as a starter. If you're used to eating Asian cuisine maybe better to just ask for all the dishes to come together. Won't go to another Vietnamese restaurant on this street though.

We ordered beef pho and roasted duck, and they are delicious. The price is also relatively cheap compared to other viet restaurants in London. The owner (I assume the older man greeting us at the door) is friendly and funny.

Terrible service! We made a booking for New Year's Eve for 10 people, got confirmation via email that it was all fine. When we turned up the restaurant was closed!! Ruined our plan for New Year's Eve, for that big group nowhere else had space for us! That is disgusting service and I would not trust anything offered by this place.

If I want Vietnamese food in London I usually go to my Mum’s house, but if I can’t make it there I go to Nom Nom Restaurant. I have been coming here for many years, since it was Loong Kee Cafe and in a single unit. Specifically for the Banh Cuon (Vietnamese steamed rice rolls) the pork and mushroom ones are my favourite thing on the menu, dipped in the flavourful nuoc cham dipping sauce. I generally eat 2 or 3 portions, with a side of Pak Choi in garlic sauce. If I am feeling extra hungry I will get the Bun Cha Han Noi (Noodle Salad) which light yet plentiful, perfectly grilled pork sitting on the vermicelli rice noodles, drenched in fish sauce. But if it is cold and I need something hearty, the classic beef pho hits the spot every time. Shout out to the freshly made Lemon and Kumquat drink, very refreshing and tastes like how Mum makes it. I love introducing my friends to NomNom, meat eaters and vegans alike. Both are well catered for. I am already craving more Banh Cuon as I write this review.

Had dinner at NomNom last night, and it was fantastic! Authentic Vietnamese flavours, fresh ingredients, and great portions. The pho was rich and fragrant, and the bánh mì was spot on. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. A must-try for Vietnamese food lovers!

this place well deserve the super rating it has at the moment. the selection is not huge but the food is stellar in all sense. appreciate is the separation of vegan versus meat dishes by column the prices are very descent with mains below a tenner. on top of it the staff is super lovely and the location is great. highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience! The pho here is hands down the best I've had outside of Vietnam. The broth was simmered to perfection, and the generous meat portions were tender. We also enjoyed their crispy spring rolls, which were the perfect appetiser. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it an excellent family dinner or casual date night spot. This restaurant is now on my regular rotation!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Nom Nom. Bun Bo Hue was absolutely amazing, the best I have ever had. My husband ordered the curry fish and the special fried rice, both were seasoned to perfection. The staff were very attentive and helpful in advising us on our dishes. What a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back 🥰

Was really disappointed by this place after reading the reviews. The food was bland at best, the 'grilled' fish was battered and fried; there were no fresh herbs or dipping sauces on the tables and the dipping sauce that did eventually come was again just very bland. I ordered the vegan duck 'curry' and it just tasted like one of those golden curry cubes you can buy in the corner shop. I'm genuinely very confused by all of the other reviews, all I can imagine is that they are either written by the owner or by people who have never eaten Vietnamese food before.

Restaurant has a 1/5 food hygiene rating which is absolutely not displayed on their window. Manager rudely demanded “cash only” after the meal was eaten, no mention of the fact that they wouldn’t take cards before the meal was ordered, manager then tried to lie to me and claim that he did tell us before we ordered.

Really efficient service, friendly staff and authentic Vietnamese food had bun and pho dishes! Also very affordable! Definitely will be my regular Vietnamese place! Thank you!

Best viet place we’ve been to in London with interesting twists. Summer prawn roll and prawn green apple salad especially good. Imperial chicken and shaking beef also pretty good. Very quick and good service. Cash only. Highly recommended.

Came here for the Bahn Cuon, and I was very happy with eveything I ate. Been to Hanoi a few times, and the taste took me back to Vietnam. I recommend this place.

Really great food! Excellent vegan selection and such warm and friendly service. Feels like I’m eating at someone’s family house. Also very reasonable for London, a very rare experience here.

Had dinner here, the food was ok. As were the drinks. The lemon and kumquat juice is nice! I noticed quite a few vegan options though, that was worth noting. A little warn around the edges (but a lot of good things are!) the menus were a bit battered, and the waitress needed calling over for every element. But we enjoyed our visit

This restaurant has a hygiene rating of 1. No surprise then when I ate there yesterday and was sick as a dog. “Cash only” demanded the manager. Food below average compared to neighbouring Vietnamese places.

Excellent delicious food, the pho was amazing and large in quality, and the flavours were fantastic! Super affordable especially compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland Road. Service was very good and incredibly fast. The vegan menu is absolutely massive - caters to vegans far better than other restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend!

The Hanoi chicken pho tasted great...very authentic. The crispy spring rolls were OK but not remarkable...didn't taste of much. The free prawn crackers tasted a bit stale. The decor is nice compared to other Vietnamese restaurants along Kingsland Road and prices are decent. Would definitely go back.

Great place. The prices are really reasonable - £8.75 for some of the mains like duck curry. Really tasty. The service is great, the staff have a really good sense of humour.

All the food was so delicious, amazing vegan and meat options! The stuff were lovely and it was a great experience overall! Would absolutely go again.

Sadly the food was with no flavour. They had no food for children and could/would not adjust any food they had to make it more child-friendly. The atmosphere was very chaotic and loud.

I have been here a number times with family (with kids) and friends, and the food is always very tasty and not over seasoned. They have some great dishes on their menu like bun cuon which are not always found at other Vietnamese restaurants. Service is great!

Everything is so good you literally cannot make a mistake. We love coming here. The crispy fried tofu rice pancake is so good. Also the best service the owner is LOVELY.
