Micheal was an amazing host, the food was soo good and traditional, I recommend the Black bean curry and fried rice it’s out of this world! Definitely add this place to your restaurant list :)

Loved it here! The food was authentic and the staff were really friendly. We reserved a table thinking we might have to by then when we arrived it was quite empty so we could sit and have as many people as we wanted. This was on a Friday night but the relaxed atmosphere meant we could really relax, talk loudly and catch up with friends properly. I'd highly recommend visiting or takeaway. Bun cha is to die for as always!

We went here yesterday for a quick dinner before hackney empire, the food was amazing would definitely recommend, we have the salt and pepper squid, coconut chicken and beef in black Pepper sauce. service was also very friendly and quick would definitely recommend.

Authentic Vietnamese food! The pho was great comfort food for a cold winter night! The springroll used bean curd which was so fragrant and flavourful. I enjoyed my dinner here.

Came in on my lunch break and was greeted by the wonderful Michael, he was great and provides class service and we had a great conversation too as I was the only person dining at the time. I really love Hackney, the Vietnamese community here is strong and it’s allowed me to experience such delicious and authentic dishes, like the one I had today at Tre Viet! I ordered the prawn pho, it was perfect! Herbs, veg fresh and prawns were fresh and delicious. I will definitely be returning! Thank you tre viet!

I was really impressed with the mixed starter, it had great variety and was delicious. The half duck however was incredibly dry and we had to keep asking for more sauce. No prawn crackers was disappointing too. Service was great and so was the atmosphere.

Food was delicious and tasted very fresh (I had spicy chicken stir fry). Service was very quick. I will definitely come back.

The waiter billed us for more than we ordered. When we contested it he argued with us even though it was clear our bill didn't add up to what he charged us.

MUST AVOID. No atmosphere, staff very rude and dirty place. We were the only ones in the restaurant, no music and the man who worked here was very rude. They gave us cans on cola that were covered in dirt. The food was extremely poor and disgusting. The beef in my Pho was absolutely vile. So expensive and awful.

We used to having a meal quite often before but it gets less and less nicer to be honest. They put up more price but nothing got better…. Actually this time was the worst for quality, price and service. It is not attractive place to go anymore.

Good Food & Service. I initially thought the main server was a bit rude but realised he was just under pressure. Once the restaurant emptied out a bit he was more relaxed and friendly. I had mixed grill type thing with noodles and Veg and although not blown away I'd be happy to recommend to a Big meat eater. We also shared duck between us and that was Delish (Crispy but in no way dry)! Lots of things on the menu I'd like to try so will defo try again

We are regular customers, and think their food is great. However, today, we ordered at 9:30 for collection at 10. Only to be met with a closed restaurant - we had to knock on the window and call multiple times. The chef told us we hadn’t ordered food, then after we insisted that we had paid, and showed him proof of payment, he showed us an order log that said “collection at 10pm” and insisted we only ordered at 10pm when he was already closed. Given the time stamp of 9:34 on our order, this was clearly untrue. In summary, if you want food before 9pm, it’s very good, but do not rely on them not taking your money after that and refusing to refund it.

I am a creature of habit, so I tend to stick to the soups and salt and pepper squid. That being said, I am always blown away by the consistent excellence of the dishes, the friendly wonderful service (wonderfully homely). This is authentic cooking at its best.

Ordered via deliveroo app over 30min before closing time. Order was never delivered and then the restaurant closed before notifying us or the app so we spent over an hour waiting for something that was in fact never going to arrive. Had to enquire to realise this. Very disappointing service.

If you’re reading this, stop deciding and go and get the Vietnamese pancake, easily the best in London!!!

Really fresh. The pho noodles soup special was really flavourful and the taro bubble tea was the best I've had. I'd definitely recommend it if you want to have a nice relaxed dinner. The service and one portion is more than enough to fill you up and it's fairly cheap too. Most vegetarian items are also vegan and are tastyyyy (according to my vegan friend)

I ordered from this place using their in-house App last night and paid by debit card. The money was taken straight off my card but when my partner and me rocked up to collect our food, we found the restaurant to be closed and a note on the door saying 'closed today'?I rang them the next day and was told 'uhhh no idea wait til the manger is in'. I left my name and number but no one got in touch. I just about to ring my bank to block the payment but then rang them again in the evening and was told 'well yeah, we were closed and there is nothing we can do. The money will come back in 3-5 working days' no apology, no offer of a free drink for next time or anything. pretty miffed and will certainly not return

ordered something on Sunday for collection and paid by Debit Card. Money was taken off my account straight away and when we walked over there we found a note on the door saying 'closed today' whaaaat? When I rang them today they said 'you need to wait until the manager is in'. I left my number and name - no one rang me. Then I rang back later on and was told 'yeah, we were closed and you will get your money back in a few days....' very strange, borderline fraudulent behaviour if you ask me....

I've eaten here many times and the food is always fresh and very tasty. Friendly service too.

The takeaway offering of sea bass is a big lie. The £14 “traditional” serving included no noodles or herbs, or anything except (too much) cooked fish, spring onion, chilli and lemon grass. Don’t order it. Deeply disappointing and bad value for money.

I used to go to this place as it was right by my old office so ordered them via deliveroo. the Banh mi was tasty and reasonably priced. However i wasnt impressed with the rest. £10.50 for two little cut up spring rolls (essentially 6 bites) is a complete rip off and do not think it tastes any better than other places that are 6£ where you get 3 or 4. in fact i really didn't like the taste.

This is by far my favourite Vietnamese Restutant I have been to around the east London area. The food has always been amazing and lovely sized portions with lovely service. Can’t wait to go back again and again.

Take away over-priced. The Pho is average in an area teeming with Vietnamese restaurants but costs £10.80 with a "discount". Please do not add brown, slimy herbs and spring onions that you know should be destined for the food waste to my order! The mixed platter with house salad at £19 consisted of 5-6 pieces of delicious squid but then only two small spring rolls and two summer rolls. It also had rotten herbs and spring onions in it and a house salad of aged round lettuce with a tiny quantity of chopped carrot and cucumber. The kids thought the dressings were tasty. I say again, overpriced and, chefs, please check the ingredients are still edible before putting them in the box. I 'd be reluctant to spend money on this take-out again.

Despite being very busy indeed (because of Eat out to Help out), Tre Viet was on top of precautions. Hand sanitiser, temperature check (the only restaurant I have experienced this in since restrictions were lifted!), registration of details, staff wearing masks etc. Felt safe, despite dining indoors (there is no outdoor seating) Had a very enjoyable meal of rice noodles with monkfish. Tre Viet is one of my favourite restaurants & it did not disappoint this time, either! Well done, Tre Viet! 💖💖

worst viet ive had in a while. ordered the pork and prawn bun and got vermicelli and soggy spring rolls. no pork or prawn and the spring rolls were awful. I ordered off of uber eats and it came cold, with no garnishes. also only ate half of it and threw it away and i love viet food. will not be ordering from here again. i feel extremely ripped off.

I ordered tofu spring rolls which were not good, the worst I’ve had in a while. I think they might have been cooked from frozen. My aubergine/tofu dish with lemongrass and coconut was mediocre - I ate half and threw the other half away which is not something I normally do. I won’t order from here again.

Just ordered on Deliveroo. This was the most expensive Vietnamese (by about 50%) and the least impressive I’ve got from the Hackney area. I actually just think it’s a bit cheeky to be honest. Very disappointing.

Springs rolls were really good.

My friends and I just went to dinner there last night, we had different Pho’s and some cold starters to share. We thought the food was fine.. until all four of us realised we had food poisoning this morning. This is really unacceptable. Seeing the other similar comments about that, this place should just stop serving until they resolve their hygiene issues.

I traveled 35 min to Hackney just to try Trey Viet. The door was open. I walked in and the owner waved me out. I won't be coming back.

Excellent Vietnamese, everything very fresh and tasty, went on Saturday afternoon and it was quite quiet, paid parking outside. Only slight negative is the music smooth jazz, which is not my taste

Great location, staff, food and interior. Staff very helpful and polite. Has busy and quite periods. Food was delicious and filling took four of children there and one was hyper. We were seated by the window and had another table added to ensure adequate seating. Servings were great we had more than enough for five. Loved every moment.😍

The food here is amazing! The chefs do an amazing job each day - I’ve eaten here over 100 times and it’s always consistently good. It’s no longer cheap but hey people need to make a living.

Los entrantes de arroz con gambas eran frescos y eran un buen entrante ligero con salsas de inmersión estándar y sin gluten. El curry Saigon vegetal era un poco soso y decepcionante. Sin embargo, el langostino en salsa de coco caramelizado estaba delicioso y bien condimentado. En general, una comida agradable y buena relación calidad-precio.

The food was good. Fresh, spicy. A variety of vegetearian dishes for those who don't want meat or fish. The service could be improved. You are working in HOSPITALITY! Please make people welcome and deliver a friendly-warmhearted service. Don't pull a face just bcs I don't want rice or any other carb side dish.

Price - completely decent for Hackney and they take card unlike some others down mate street Location - easy to get to via bus, or a ten minute walk from Hackney central Atmosphere - quiet, chilled, private, warm Service - great, especially if you are keen for someone to bring food and leave you to chat! Be really careful here if you have allergies. The menu has an allergy key, but it’s hopelessly inaccurate. I ordered a dish listed as having no nuts which arrived topped with peanuts. Pointed it out to the waiter and suggested they update the menu, but he dismissed it and couldn’t care less.

The best in Hackney. I've been here way too many times! Great service, quality food and clean and pleasant environment!

[Update: Oh dear, my partner also had the dire squits all the next day and hadn't eaten elsewhere the day we visited here.] Nothing to write home about. Pricey. Looks impressive from outside with window film designs but inside decor is a bit tired. Loo did have soap and paper hand towels, though. I only wanted some fried noodles with some greens or seafood which I'm used to seeing as one value dish but I had to order separately. The menu seems a bit limited. Other dishes looked better value. The greens were quite nice once re-heated (arrived cold) but expensive for a rather small portion. £34 for a light meal for 2 without alcohol, starters or pudding. I'd expect more before making a recommendation.

The Vietnamese food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, the service is sometimes alarmingly fast. Don't let anyone rush you, you'll want to eat everything including the garnish. I've been going here for 20 years and apart from a minor relocation from the original site 50 yards up the road nothing much has changed. But we still keep discovering new treats to go with our old favourites: salt and pepper squid, fresh spring rolls, rare beef salad, and anything with goat.

Had the lunch set. Food was alright was a bit on the expensive side with some of the dishes needing a bit more rice noodles than what was served. The rice noodle isn't as good a quality than it could've been, it was kind of mushy rather than soft which wasn't the best of experiences. Prawn spring rolls were deep fried and tasted nice, though the slightly transparent and bright yellow spring roll was kind of off putting, would've liked more spring rolls rather than two halves for the price of £3.50 The broth from the soup noodle was okay, had a nice kick to it. Overall standard portion (if less) with slightly more expensive price.

I had very bad food poisoning from this restaurant and people I know who normally come here said the day we ate there food was not fresh. I wasn’t impressed instead of offering me a refund they wanted to send me some food like yeah right after I puked my guts up for 24 hours last thing I wanted to as to eat their food. I would never come here again ever was a nightmare

Encontré largos pelos humanos negros en mis tortitas de pato. Una de las experiencias más desagradables de la historia. Lady afirmó que no podía ser el caso porque el chef tiene el pelo corto. ? No me importa, ¡no es mi pelo! tengo el pelo castaño y corto. Este lugar tiene algunos problemas graves de higiene que ni siquiera están dispuestos a admitir o tratar.

Wonderful food, great vibe. Tiny on the pricey side for Vietnamese, starters are approx £7 and mains £11 + £3.50 for rice etc. Was incredibly delishious though and wonderful service

First let me say, this restaurant isn’t BYO anymore so we showed up with a clinking tote bag of wine which we had to take home again! We came early on a Tuesday and the place was quiet although it quickly filled up giving it a bit more atmosphere. The mural is pretty but there wasn’t am awful lot of atmosphere. We ordered the mixed sharing platter to start which had delicious summer rolls (which I can sometimes find bland but these were full of plump juicy prawns), crispy fried duck rolls (I didn’t think these were anything special, my partner loved them), crispy spicy, salty and sweet squid which was perfectly cooked and a really fresh yummy well dressed salad. Great starter but it wasn’t cheap! For mains we had the mushrooms in homemade oyster sauce and a duck curry. Both were absolutely full of flavour and couldn’t be faulted really well cooked and yummy. We didn’t order rice or noodles as we didn’t want lots of carbs and also they were quite expensive (over six pounds for plain noodles- imagine the profit margin!) This, coupled with the the slightly stand offish service, is the only thing that’s stopping me giving this place 5 stars.
