Anh Dao Restaurant in Hackney

We dined a few times when everyone else was closed; they serve standard Kingsland road fare; many dishes are definitely not cooked fresh - taste like re-heated meals. Not to mention a wrong charges issue. Lesson: don't leave it late.

Anh no ha cambiado de dueño a Mien Tay. No debe confundirse buscando la señal para Anh hacer.no te quedarás decepcionado ya que la comida es tan buena y el menú es bastante tradicional y no todos occidentalizados' demasiado como otros en Kingsland. También te dan a la caridad : -)

Celebramos el cumpleaños de mi hija aquí - había 16 de nosotros -nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. El servicio fue estupendo -la comida era deliciosa, con una increíble selección.Hay una opción que te permite traer tu pripia bedida alcohólica - lo cual hicimos - y también viga del bar.El personal es fabuloso, y nada es demasiado problema. Estuvimos la última que hay en el restaurante -nos lo dejó de pedir y fueron muy amables con nosotros, nos permitieron sentarse y charlar por absolutamente las edades -incluso después de que el personal de cocina y camareros" había dejado. nosotros enviamosnuestras gracias por ayudarnos a hacer su cumpleaños, un fabuloso ocasión.

The order was made online at 6p and at 7p, called the restaurant to find out the status.. The restaurant said the driver was only 2 mins away...that was not the case... They decided to show up at 830p. By then, we had decided to go find food elsewhere. Very disappointed as this was our first time with Just Eat

Por desgracia, me fui en contra de mi mejor juicio y fuimos a este lugar, el cual estaba casi vacío ... los otros cerca estaban ocupados. Los springrolls eran demasiado caro para lo que te dan, y no sabe bien pero el hambre ganó. El curry de pollo era demasiado picante para mí, pero aparte de eso no había casi ningún pollo! Para rematar, que entenderse con uno que cargo por servicio. No volveré a este lugar no me gusta esperar por un asiento en uno de los otros restaurantes populares Vietnemese en esta calle ... sombrero no te cobran por el servicio y tienen mejor sabor y buena relación calidad-precio tarifa!

Avoid these guys - they missed their delivery time by over 20 minutes.. many phone calls later the food arrive lukewarm - and plain (no hoisin sauce for the salt & pepper squid for instance), no napkins / chopsticks... etc. never again!

Visitamos aquí de camino a Columbia Rd mercado de flores. He probado el más canción popular barbacoa a pocas puertas de distancia pero decidimos probar Anh facultades - hay competencia que hay aquí y en otros 6 restaurantes vietnamitas a elegir. En un domingo de Pascua, nos sorprendió ver eran los únicos clientes a la hora del almuerzo. Teníamos un atento servicio en un anticuado pero limpio y restaurante con parras falsificado y bambú en el techo. La comida era excelente - delicioso mango ensaladas, grandes cuencos de tallarines, resultados satisfactorios y nos gustaron los cocos frescos. Fue una buena comida vietnamita pura Casablaca quizás una barbacoa más cara de Song pero tienes menos de los problemas y más paz y un tranquilo disfrute de su comida. Vale la pena una visita, merece ser más popular.

Das kann man wirklich nur empfehlen. Wir sind dort durch Zufall vorbeigekommen und haben es nicht bereut. Alle Speisen frisch auf den Tisch. Das Lemongrass, auf welchem Gericht auch immer, sollte man sich gönnen. Die Suppe, vietnam style auch ein Muss. Preis Leistung voll in Ordnung. Zum Geburtstag gab es noch ein Eis auf Kosten des Hauses. Jederzeit wieder!!!

The food was outstanding as always...I have ordered from here 3 times and it is the best Vietnamese takeaway I've had. We had spring rolls which were really crispy and duck pho, the stock was full of flavor and came with fresh herbs and veggies. It's fab tasting takeaway without the guilt...well worth the money!!

Tuvimos una gran comida aquí la noche pasada.La comida era deliciosa y abundante. No habíamos probado comida vietnamita antes, pero lo disfrutamos. Sin duda comer aquí de nuevo.Una buena selección de cervezas vietnamitas.No me dieron un 5/5, 10% de servicio incluido en la factura. Me habría ido al menos esto, pero me gusta que mi elección!

No vayas allí! Muy mala experienciafui con mis compañeros de trabajo para nuestra cena de Navidad en este lugar vietnamita en Kingsland Road, Shoreditch. Nunca he hecho una crítica negativa en mi vida por cualquier restaurante y me doy cuenta que éste no es un lugar con estrellas Michelin pero también creo que podemos esperar algún tipo de buen nivel cuando vas a comer el viernes por la noche.Por desgracia, el estándar de este restaurante era muy pobre. ¿Por dónde empiezo? Cuando hicimos la reserva en el restaurante, nos prometieron que nos pueden pedir nuestra comida del menú estándar, sin embargo, en el restaurante el gerente (ella fue extremadamente ruidoso y no le permiten hablar!) nos dijeron que necesitan tomar el "menú" y que no serán capaces de servir a los individuos con su selección de comida. Como no tenía ninguna otra opción, así que aceptamos la oferta.Tras pedir bebidas, nos sirvieron con entrantes. No fue nada más cerca de lo que nos dijeron y la calidad era pobre (era similar a rodajas de "croquetas de pescado de valor" de Tesco, etc. ). Cuando me quejé a uno de los camareros's, me dijeron que esto es todo lo que se puede conseguir como empezar!!! Me quedé muy sorprendida al oír su respuesta.Sorprendentemente, nuestro plato principal llegó rápidamente; fideos con pocos gambas/pollo, arroz cruda, platos vegetarianos, etc. No había gusto en cualquiera de los platos. Las porciones más pequeñas de lo que nos dijeron. Allí estaba sin sal o pimienta sobre la mesa, así que tienes que probar su hace todo lo posible para atraer la atención de alguien para conseguir un poco de sal. Sinceramente, lo mejor de la comida que tuvimos allí, sólo las bebidas (tuve jugo de naranja fresco)!!Al final, nos preguntamos de postres. Supongo que lo que el postre era!! Nos sirvieron con media naranja! Sí que se lee que "una rebanada Orange"!! Nos quedamos boquiabiertos!!Sinceramente, yo no puedo quejarme en un restaurante, porque yo solía trabajar en un restaurante como un camarero yo, así que sé lo que es a veces. Sin embargo, por el amor de Dios, si acepta dinero de la gente, y un poco de dinero ( £580), debe proporcionar un buen servicio. Además, cuando fui a pagar la factura, me dijeron que tenía que pagar 15% de servicio en la cima de la cuenta!!! ¿QUÉ 15%!!! Por lo que, nos estafaba!!!En conclusión, la experiencia no fue bueno, yo nunca volvería a este lugar por cualquier motivo y no recomiendo este restaurante a cualquiera. ¡Era horrible!

I visited this restaurant as part of a large group. The food was poor, quantity lacking, service appalling, and the prices far higher than the product deserved. The proprietor was clearly trying to make a fast buck!

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and feels less like a canteen that most of the others on this strip. The service friendly but not particularly attentive. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was pretty empty in comparison to the others we passed. There were about 5 people in. A couple of Eastern Eurpoeans playing to the gallery and a dating gay couple having a domestic, for the curious amongst you that ended in tears :-( Well on to the food, my partner ordered the Spring roll, not what he expected but none the less substantian and filled with very high quality ingredients, more of a deep fried taco folded and filled. I had the satay which was dry and appeared deep fried, nothing succulent here, the sauce was bland and could have done with a bit more spice. For my main my partner had the chicken noodle soup, again substantial but left a little bit to be desired, I had the cognac beef the beef itself was of the highest quality and the veg both fresh and crispy. All in all good food but nothing to write home about. The staff were not particularly attentive and clearing away was something that had to be asked for. 2 starters with 2 mains 2 beers and a bottled water £40 so pretty reasonable all in all. But would not like to go if it was heaving. Time to try the others I think.

I have visited most of the Vietnamese Places on Kingsland Road and this is the one I always go back to. First of all, the meat and fish are fresh and well sourced. The beef for instance comes from a local market and is prime Scottish beef. Try the succulent shaking beef or the duck - can't recommend enough!! For the healthy eaters, the Summer rolls are really fresh - a starter I would highly recommend. The salt and chili squid is also a must for the pescetarians! The curries are spicy and full of flavour without the heaviness of an Indian or Chinese curry. Lastly, it's very good value for money and BYOB so bring a bottle of wine and share a few dishes with a group of friends - perfect place for a catch up!!

Have been to Anh Dao quite a few times now. I've brought friends and family here and am never disappointed. Although they're fairly new to the Hoxton-Vietnamese-Hub compared to other places, I cannot fault them for the fresh, tasty and affordable food. I've spoken to the staff on numerous occasions. They are friendly and try to accomodate where possible - they've also mentioned before that they head out every morning to buy the seafood - so what you eat that evening is pretty fresh!! If you're thinking about visiting, don't think - just head there! Weekends are busy and so you should really book, but Mon-Thurs is pretty quiet. Good job to all the staff at Anh Dao!

Anh Dao is brilliant. It's cheap (£7 mains), incredibly friendly, and SO TASTY! The food is fresh, and very true to traditional Vietnamese cooking. I eat at Anh Dao all the time and am yet to have a bad meal. And it has a much nicer atmosphere than most of the rival restaurants which are more like canteens. Just brilliant. The staff are lovely, the food is excellent, and it's BYO wine - what more can you ask for?

Anh Dao is, in my opinion the best vietnamese resturant in Hoxton. I live quite close by and have visited all the restaurants in the area and this one is the best. Well priced, the food is always fresh and the staff always friendly. They have amazing vegetarian options too which can be difficult when eating asian food. The food is always super fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced. I would actually choose to eat here over a lot of other more high end restaurants in London.

I have been around in Hoxton with my girlfriend quite frequently for vietnamese food we both like a lot. Our first experience in Hoxton was Anh Doa and we directly loved it. Of course we also tried other vietnamese places around the area, but we always came back to Anh Doa which is definately our favorite. We usually have some starters consisting of spring rolls and salt&chillie squid. These starters are amazing and also our friends and family we took to Anh Doa loved it. For a main I usually go for the sizzling cognac beef with some plain rice which is outstanding. The meat has always been very tender and the taste absolutely to my taste.Another point at Anh Doa is that you can bring your own alcohol without any extra charge, but also the house wine and the vietnamese beer are available for reasonable prices. For a friday or saturday night I would definately recommend that you book a table if you plan to visit this place with a bigger group. During the week there is no need of pre-booking. The service is warm and welcoming and there has never been a reason to complain at all.I will definately come back again

Been to Anh Dao a few times with the GF and also with the Family. Food has always been on point. Food can sometimes be a little while, but at least you know the food is being freshly prepared, which is very evident in the taste.I would recommend for a cheeky friday/saturday evening out that won't cost the world. Make sure you bring some cash as sometimes the card machine likes to play up.

I understand mistakes can be made, but when I called the restaurant to explain that the meal was incomplete no-one answered the phone, even just-eat couldn't get through to them. When I finally did get the through the following day they denied any wrong doing and offered no refund for missing items. I would recommend thinking twice before ordering - I certainly won't be going back.

We visited the Anh Dao as a group of five who are keen on Vietnamese food and found this restaurant provided us with a selection of Vietnamese dishes that ranked extremely highly with us all. Fresh food full of flavour, many of our favourite dishes, all rated very good to excellent.. and efficient, pleasant, personal service. We planned a return visit before the meal was finished. Highly recommended as a quality Vietnamese restaurant.

I went here having seen the previous review, there were lots of Vietnamese restaurants on this road but this one seemed quite busy which I took as a good sign so went in.I ordered one of the recommended startrs, which was supposed to be king prawns on a pancake but actually turned out to be 4 over cooked prawns on french fries which had very little flavour and not what I was expecting. I had the king prawns in curry sauce for main which lacked in flavour and was very salty.As I was here on business I asked for a VAT receipt but was told they don't give VAT receipts and would only take cash which was disappointing. I would certainly NOT go back.

Go to Kingsland Road for Vietnamese food. The street is lined up with Vietnamese restaurants galore. Anh Dao is particularly special. The staff made an authentic dish not found in their usual dinner menu: Canh Chua (a tamarind-based soup). Have it with rice to soak up all of the intricate flavors in the broth and you'll know why this is comfort food Asian-style.Also, if you're Filipino, you'll get a kick out of the fact that they serve San Miguel beer.

We receieve our food at 9 pm. When we recieved it, it was COLD! the portions were tiny! The quality was poor for the £25 we spent. I have asked for a refund and Just Eat have fobbed me off, as have the restaurant. Awful service, I will never ever use either the restaurant or Just Eat again.

The delivery was precise and main thing- food is AMAZING!! Pho with chicken and summer rolls with shrimps are a sure thing! Loved it. Delivery lady reluctantly offered a free main meal after I complained to her. I called the restaurant at least 4 times to order she was never there, therefore was not able to claim any sort of compensation for the late delivery.

I ordered a meal at around 9:35 in the evening. They promised delivery within the hour, but it never turned up. Later enquiries revealed that they didn´t have enough drivers, and that they had all gone home anyway. Restaurant hadn´t even made my food. Appalling service.
