Pho House in Hackney

Pho is decent, a bit bland and not enough noodles. Pork Chop is really good. Overall, food is satisfactory. However, BE WARNED HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! The Hispanic female cashier/server that took our order via phone was highly unprofessional and rude when I went to pick up the food and told her she got the order wrong. She even repeated what we ordered on the phone, yet when I got there to pick it up, one of the order was the wrong item. Instead of offering to replace it with the correct order, she snapped with an attitude and said "well if you want your item you have to wait additional 10 minutes" in a disgruntle manner without any apology or professionalism. When I addressed to the manager how she had no regard for proper customer service, all he said was "I'm sorry" and that was it. I've been in the retail industry myself, including food industry as a waiter (including Pizza Hut, Red Lobsters, Champps, Clyde's, Hilton Hotel, Restaurant in Rockefeller, NYC) for over 8 years and never have I treated any customer with disrespect and with such negative attitude. When I told her "instead of throwing attitude in my direction to a customer, the right approach would be is to apologize and suggest on how to resolve the situation" and make sure the customer feels welcomed and encourage for a return, but instead she replied by saying "I'm not apologizing to you!" and just walked away while giggling to her co-worker. This experience was enough to never go back, and support their business ever again, and I am writing this review to warn other customers to be aware of how they treat their customers!!!!

Costretto da alcuni amici a provare questo locale nel nostro tour di Londra devo dire che ho avuto un ottima impressione. Locale molto carino e presumo tipico. Se come me non si è pratici in quel tipo di cucina si incontrano non poche difficoltà, ma basta spiegare i propri gusti al personale di sala, e affidarsi a loro!

Pho House is a solid Vietnamese restaurant. The food was well portioned and had good bold flavours. There was ample choice to suit those of us that craved meat and also our vegetable loving friends. Staff were friendly and happy and they were also good with adjusting dishes to preference. Busy place and you can see why.

Pho is for me the best choice everytime! I love vietnamese food and it is very rare to find good food and good prices as well. For sure it is not cheap, but I think it s worth it every penny!!

Loved papaya salad, salt and pepper squid, sizzling duck. The Pho wasn’t the best I tried, but overall good affordable dinner

Unfortunately, the Morning Glory has a ‘V’ next to it indicating it’s vegetarian... well it’s not. I took one bite and tasted the fish sauce... thankfully I’m not allergic!!! But, still very bad practice. We complained to the waitress who said we were mistaken and that it does have fish sauce and that it’s not labelled as vegetarian! After taking another look at the menu, it does indeed state vegetarian. So, we complained again. The waitress got the Manager who stated ‘oh, you’re vegan then if you don’t eat fish’ to which we replied ‘no, vegetarians don’t eat fish either’. The manager struggled with this and said he could take the dish away. My partner ate some of the Morning Glory. We were still disappointed to find it charged on the bill and with the service charge added. Good service? No, bad customer service. Will not be returning. Would normally go to the amazing Hanoi Cafe, but sadly it was closed for refurbishment today. The sooner it reopens the better!

I would definitely recommend it, the food is tasty, the ambiance is lovely, and the staff is friendly. My friend and I had the Pho and it was very very good !!!

Awful place. From the outside it looks lovely, lively etc.., We ordered food and specified that one of our party was on a very strict vegetarian diet, no fish, meat or eggs and is actually allergic to these products. Staff did not know what had what in. I asked what veggie dish had tofu in, surprisingly the waiter did not know. My friend asked for tofu soup and said she could taste crab in it, waiter denied it had crab in it. We ordered two starters, only one came. Then the mains were brought out with the errant starter. My main was not filling so I ordered another starter, spring rolls. The spring rolls were hot on the outside, very cold on the inside, so they'd clearly been brought out of the freezer and plonked into the fryer. Drinks - my friend ordered a beer, my a diet coke. It came in a fancy jar with a tiny bit of lemon and no ice. It was warm and had obviously been poured out of a bottle of shop bought coke. It didn't even taste like diet coke. Our plates were hurriedly taken away whilst we were still eaten and the bill plonked on the table. At no point during our meal did any waiting staff come and ask how our meal was or if we wanted another drink or dessert. We paid the bill which has 10% service added to it. We said we'd just pay the bill minus the service. The waiter asked why and we told him. He said we should have said to which I replied that it was the waiter's job to see how the meal is for customers. Just awful place and I would never go back again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We had a lovely dinner here this evening. Helpful staff. Tasty, authentic Vietnamese food. Prawn spring rolls were fresh and delicious. Having travelled to Vietnam a couple of years ago, the taste transported us back there! Lemongrass chicken and sizzling beef dishes were also excellent. Good sized portions and reasonably priced.

I have been eating Vietnamese food since a very young age and know what good oriental food tastes like. However when I got here and tasted the pho it was absolutely amazing. It is quite hard to get a very good Vietnamese food but this restaurant has absolutely nailed it. I have been going here for about 3 years ever since it has opened, I had even been going to the restaurant that had been in the same place before this one, but this one has been the best so far. I would rate this ont the best in the area for occasions, parties, or even just a dinner. This restaurant suits them all.

I love the vegetarian pho here! They also have a lovely chilli tofu dish. Portion sizes are rather generous.

So so yummy !!! On a passé un très bon moment dans ce restaurant au décor très street et agréable. Le pho est excellent! Bien copieux et goûteux à souhait. Les saveurs sont parfaites, comme le pho de maman!!! Les nems sont pas mal aussi. Le service est rapide et aimable. Bon, chaleureux, savoureux et pas cher!

The pho here is delicious - must go here again for more pho. The chicken pho at Pho house is probably one of the best pho in london.

Went the other day , really enjoyed the food and so did everyone else at out table. Portions were huge and came out really swiftly! Lovely cosy play e to eat! Only downside was how hot it was inside and we had to always get the staffs attention to order/pay etc. Other than that , great food and great night would definitely come back
