I’ve been visiting this cafe since the late nineties. It was great value for money. Generous portions and made vegetarian food delicious at a time veggie options were bland in shops and canteens. It’s so popular you have to share tables. The queue to order is long and slow moving. It’s a hidden gem. I’ve seen online they’ve cut back on hot meal options. Undoubtedly they were hit by the pandemic and following cost of living crisis. Looking forward to dropping by later.

Una tragedia! Uno de mis lugares favoritos para empezar la tarde. Delicioso y comidas ligeras innovadoras, gran café, que espléndido salvia y cebolla bollo con Apple medusas, esas galletas caseras maravillosos de sandwich y en un lugar tan bonito. El otro día fuimos a encontrar un anuncio diciendo que había trasladado a los pastos nuevamente. Estoy llorando por dentro.

I've been going here for nearly 5 years and they do the best lamb kofte. They also do excellent burgers and if you ask they'll do the chips extra crispy. Staff is very friendly and they're open till around 2am.

Super little theater with great entertainment options flowing through. Bar and ticket staff were friendly. The theater is intimate and laid out well, maybe too well. You are so close to the stage, it almost feels like you shouldn’t be watching. And brunch options very close specially the blue owl

First time at a purely vegan restaurant but food smelled tempting when we arrived. Cocktails were nice and we appreciated being able to order a carafe of wine rather than a bottle. Some dishes were delicious some rather bland, arancini were lovely, hummus tasty and large portion, cauliflower starter tasty but oily. Sri Lankan curry main was beautifully presented but rice was bland and whole thing needed more heat and punch, surprisingly nice paratha despite not being made with butter/ghee, burgers were OK, needed the relishes, fries were excellent, desserts overly sweet, about the same price as a non vegan meal which is probably why some people feel it's expensive. Service was a bit slow at times but didn't bother us as we were happy chatting. Would go back but would ask more about the dishes before ordering.

Easy, fast, simple and delicious! We were looking for a place for dinner and we found Maoz. The falafel bowl was really great and fulfilling! The workers are smiley and very nice, it does not take long to be served and the food is really well prepared! I just really recommend the place for quality and price

Devastated to find this wonderful, cosy little vegetarian restaurant (established 1978) has now permanently closed. Streatham won’t be the same without this oasis of calm. Their World Famous Banofee pie, generous salads and bakes now gone forever. Farewell to Kim and all the lovely staff and thanks for all the delicious veggy food and organic wines over the years.

Great casual spot down the street from the RIU Plaza Victoria Hotel. My sister had lamb chops and I had a burger...both were excellent. Drinks and dinner very affordable. Nothing special about the decor and restaurant is very small but food was great

As many others have stated here, I too experienced the shocking attitude of the chef and owner. I am amazed they’re still in business. Definitely the type of person that shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near customers.

Me reuní con amigos allí para el baile de 1 viernes de calle del mes - hasta con reggae y soul. Fue una experiencia brillante como siempre. Golpeando melodías para recordarme mis funciones de infancia/juventud y familia y noches de fiesta. Todos lo pasamos muy bien. Incluso si vas por tu cuenta tendrías gente con la que hablar ya que la multitud siempre hay gente tan amigable que hablan entre sí, te conozcan o no. No conozco ningún otro lugar igual. Me encanta la arquitectura del edificio también. Nunca ha habido ningún problema desde que he estado viniendo por más de un año, solo vibraciones amorosas, comida y bebidas encantadoras. We loved this lovely little cafe in the terrace gardens , coffee good also cake . Very friendly and helpful, good vega and vegetarian menu

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Garden at rear for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Open space at front. Highly recommended.
