Ah yes, we made the pilgrimage from West London to East London for a taste of Hyderabad at Hyderabad Darbar. Not quite the distance of the Spice Route, but in London terms, it may as well have been. Was it worth the trek? Absolutely. The food was divine – each dish as authentic as if we'd teleported straight to Hyderabad, minus the traffic jams and street cows. The biryani had layers of flavour so deep, I half-expected to find a treasure map at the bottom of my plate. The service? Let's just say the waitress was so on point, I briefly considered asking her to help organise my life. Attentive, professional, and with the uncanny ability to appear exactly when our plates were empty – it was like she had a sixth sense for hunger. My English friend, who barely travels beyond Zone 2 without a visa, was so impressed he’s already planning to come back before his flight to Australia. For a man who considers beans on toast exotic, that’s nothing short of a miracle. Though, after witnessing his enthusiasm, I’d say there's a strong chance he’ll miss his flight entirely. In summary: Hyderabad Darbar is more than worth the trek from West London – it’s the best meal I’ve had on this side of the Thames. We'll be back, just as soon as we recover from the glorious food coma.

Best Authentic Hyderabad Biryani

The food was amazing, starting with the crispy and flavorful chicken 65. The chicken Manchurian was a great mix of sweet and spicy, and the bhuna gosht was cooked to perfection. The Hyderabadi mutton masala was absolutely divine, with tender pieces of mutton in a rich, aromatic sauce. The garlic naan was fresh and paired perfectly with the dishes. The staff was courteous and made sure we were well taken care of."

Today I visited the restaurant with my family and the behaviour of the staff was very rude and the food was not even tasty and Upto the mark….

If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of authentic biriyanis and delicious curries and we loved everything we tried. The staff service was great, very friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to come back here again !

We ordered chicken biryani and tandoori. Especially tandoori chicken was soo good and nice smokey flavour and the server sowmya akka treated us very nice.

The staff was very busy with their own work .. was missing my drink told to staff but nobody gave me after asking again and again they give me at the end of my food

A proper nice and authentic spot for hyderabadi biryani for sure. It was very tasty and filling. Not spicy enough although I'm sure they'd be able to cater for spice lovers, but we didn't mind on this occasion as we just wanted to try the biryani itself. Also ordered lamb karahi, dal fry and garlic and peshwari naan which was so tender and flavoursome.

We visited on 19th August 2024. It was not planned, but we saw the reviews and changed our initial plan. Well, the price is reasonable, service was excellent, the food arrived very quickly and the girls at the service were great. Food wise, I would definitely recommend Chicken 65 and Chicken lollipop. Biryani (both chicken and Lamb) were ok. Also the currys were also ok. I would 4 star to food but 5 star to service which can make overall experience 5 star and worth a visit.

I've got a nice service today by the nice waiter named Pravin. The food was extremely fine as well the dining area.

I’ve been to Deccan Darbar with my family and enjoyed authentic Hyderabadi cuisine; the owner Hamid and Altaf hospitality service was great. Food was so tasty, my whole family, including kids enjoyed it. Especially Hyderabad biryani and Mandi. Mango Rabri dessert was delicious. Will highly recommend to all the families who are looking for a nice venue and authentic hyderabadi food.

And all of suddenly one girl and not even the girl al the staff from reception are coming one by one and was telling me until you are waiting for your food why don’t you give us 5 star review gain and again she was asking me about the review .
