Costa Coffee in Newham

Very sad that after ordering over £25 worth of drinks and biscuit / cake they refused to warm up milk for baby. I passed them a bottle and asked for them to heat this up and they said no. Other branches had no issues with doing this. I then went to another coffee shop nearby who warmed up the bottle for us with a smile. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this had to be shared as it’s annoying. No other coffee shops refused this simple ask. I will no longer purchase anything from your chain because of this. There are other coffee and deserts shops to chose from.

Server was nice but the drink was not good at all. Could barely taste the coffee.

We ordered food worth £15 in Costa and then we requested for two straws and some tissue for our children and the barista spoke in a rude manner and was reluctant to give it. He mentioned that you should not get drinks from outside and spoke quite rudely. Customer service was very poor. He said he is manager and his name is Salman Khan. Cost coffe shop Gallion Reach inside Next shop branch.

The staff close one of the toilets every day and there is always people queueing to use the only toilet left open.

Staff always get my order correct and coffee is brilliant, Store manager is very present and hands on. can see the great relationship she has built with the community. I come here most weekends to get some work done.

Super dirty chairs, slow service... Big "no"!

Service is always good and friendly. Elvira is the best in the town.

As I sit here now, at 3.25pm on 24th July 2024, the 2 female members of staff are so hard working, welcoming, attentive, respectful and courteous, I love this Costa, will keep coming back.

**Update 2024 2 Star Rating** Consistency is very important. Even when you have a high turnover of staff. July 2024, my first Cortado at this branch situated within next. The staff were friendly and polite. The drink was extremely hot, too hot for a coffee. The ratio was completely out of sync. Tasted extremely watery. Not great at all. Suggest this franchise to invest in training. **Updated 2023 5 Star Rating** What a difference a year makes?! I've used this restaurant on several occasions during July & August 2023, and wow does the coffee taste good. The barista knows her drinks and is spot on every time! I hope they maintain this standard, will visit again in a years time! My go to drink is a Cortado! **2022 - 1 Star Rating** Restaurant was generally clean and tidy. Barista area was not up to scratch. Cups used to pour espresso shots were dirty with previously overflowing coffee stains. The barista should keep their own area spotless. I ordered cortado, ended up with a very milky coffee which was more like a latte. To be honest, I expect better from specialist coffee shop, I think McDonald's would have probably been better on this occasion.

Since my last review nothing has been changed, shame on you manager/owners, look at this pictures!!! We asked the staff to clean our table she give us the tissue with chemical! So disappointed! I think this place should visit inspection

Very disappointed, poor service and staff. Coffee it is expensive and they make unlike coffee, and they disrespect as too. Just waste money, and time.

Whenever we are in the vicinity we always pop in to this cosy place. The service is great and staff always pleasant They do one of the best flat white coffees ! Not tried the food but hopefully soon Thank to all the staff

Excellent service and great service. Front windows could do with dusting.

We popped in for a break around lunch time and I had gluten Free flap jack and pot of teà.

We are regular costumers, cannot keep this quiet, the bottle with chemicals should be in the safe place ,kids safety,very dirty every single corner! Toilet different story,dirty,broken! Please do some action

Really lovely, cozy, warm atmosphere. Service is good. The variety of food is not as big though.

The service at this branch is outstanding. I went here the other day and Elvina was really fantastic. Will be visiting again.
