Dining out on past glorys, this used to be the best deal in town, now they are overpriced and over rated, quite frankly felt abit ripped off and although the food was OK, wasn't worth the price

Solid fish and chips and pizza too. No wonder since they are owned by an Italian family. Has been in business since 1966 it's very nice to see local businesses that are still thriving to this day A bit disappointed tho as the one that serves me was very rude with that high voice and sinister eye look. Not very pleasant at all!

Very good. Cleanness excellent .staff dressed good. Prices more than reasonable. Top quality is good for the money. Certainly return again.

The medium portion was very large and the fish was juicy. The staff is also very friendly.

Quality chippy, had cod which was done to perfection, not greasy, thin crispy batter just how I like it. Good chip shop chips and mushy peas. Very reasonably priced for the portion size, great location, looks clean inside too!

Tasteless fish, cheap grade potatoes!!! A full size piece of cod has skin on both sides, these people cut it thin, make it look like you got a big one by bigging up the batter. What fools we all are, eh chump? There's a shop in East Ham, still holds traditional values and know what fish and chips once used to taste like. These people just riding on past success. No thanks. 👎

Wonderful fish and chips shop in the heart of Stratford. Friendly staff and excellent cod and Chips. Top tip: Tell the staff you will eat the food in the Queen Anne pub next door and they will box up the meal including services and forks. You just need to buy a drink in the pub and you'll have somewhere comfortable to enjoy your fish supper. Highly recommended.

I have known this place for years when it was called Brothers . I believe the old chap has now retired and family are running it . The portions have become smaller and prices obviously increased over the years especially after lockdown. The food is still good and must say their chips are one of the best in the area

visited last friday with my friends just a short while before they were due to close yet still met with a super friendly and approachable family run place. i personally got the medium fish and chips with curry sauce - very happy with the portion size and quality of food - fish was slightly chewy but other than that perfect place for a wholesome fish and chips moment.

I was looking for fish n chips in Stratford area & this takeaway place popped up. While ordering I asked the server if there’s any place nearby for me to sit down & eat. His answer was negative. I saw him frying the fish & fries. For each order he would fry fresh fish & would do it with lot of attention & passion. When he served my order instead of a bag he put it in a box & gave me fork & napkins with the advice to put salt & vinegar & I could have my food on a small ledge at the joint. I found this gesture to be very considerate as he perhaps realised I am out of town. The fish had crispy batter & was delicious

This was a very nice, local and authentic finding! I really recommend the Fish & Chips with the home made source there. Attention: this is only for take away but I have a recommendation. Just take the food and go to the pub just next to it. They have like an agreement that you can eat there. Just grab a nice beer and enjoy!

Family run business that have been in the area for many years. Good choice of food including pasta dishes and vegan choices. Prices are good Service is well organised with one taking order ,one cooking and one serving Please t and chatty and will give you info on the products they sell. I went in on Fri 11th November 22 and got myself and my Dad 2 cod (medium) and chips the portions are good I think one portion of chips was fine for 2 people the medium size fish was plenty for myself.. It's a nice little treat for yourself or great if you don't want to cook

Was once known back in the day as "the brothers fish & chip shop. Still the same Italian family run business. A very good chip shop and one of the few still operating in the area. They do the best sausage in batter anywhere.

We waited for a long time to eat here and to be honest it was disappointing... Maybe our expectation were to high from reading all the 5* comments... We waited for a long time to get our fish and chips and we had to take the big portions as they run out of the regular once which we found it odd considering that we went immediately once the shops was open. Everything was already cooked, I would have preferred to have the chips a bit crunchy... a bit more salt & vinegar ... Hope they will improve soon, not to be disappointed again if we go again 🤞

Ordered fish, chips and curry sauce, batter on the fish was perfect , crispy melt in your mouth. Fresh tasting. Chips were perfect, right amount, not too much . Curry sauce was also very good, best I've tasted in years. Delivery was quite quick . Nicely boxed and wrapped . Was hot still when it arrived. Would definitely order again and would definitely recommend.

Really nice food. Tip: If you can, go and not use a food delivery service. Was going to but projected time was longer than going there. They also add on a third onto the price and then add a service charge on top.

Best experience ever, I order through deliveroo and the person working at the restaurant spotted a mistake (missing chips in the order) and actually called me on my mobile. he suggested trying to edit the mistake at the deliveroo app but it wouldn't allow me, so o called him back to say it's ok it can't be amended "I guess I have to do without chips" the guy was so nice he said "don't worry I'll give you the chips this time", what a great customer service, but what the guy didn't know while doing such a good deed is that I was ordering from hospital while waiting for my transport home, after spending nearly 8 hours at my chemotherapy appointment, as I have bone cancer. It was a small gesture that mean a lot to me. So thank you so much. On top of it all the fish and chips were delicious, best I tried so far in the area.

I've known this shop for a long time, when they had a nice pizzeria as well. When small cod fish and chips used to cost 3.80, and the portion used to be much more generous, now price is a fiver, how ever it's much less you get for that. It's still tasty though.

I come here every week, I used to go to his Mum and Dad's place on Water Lane many years ago. Fish 'n' chips great especially when freshly cooked. The pizzas are the best around streets ahead of the local chains, you know who I mean. Lovely friendly owner, Tony, whose father and uncles were well known owners of The Brothers' fish 'n' chips all over Newham over the past 50 years or so.

Went to the shop to order fish and chips. Guess I went a bit late around 2pm, there wasn’t much fresh fried cod fish. I had a cod which seems to be cooked for quite some time. The skin was a bit soggy when I took it back home after 5 minutes. Chips were alright. Wouldn’t say it’s the best fish and chips place but would say one of the places that does serve traditional fish and chips and has long history in Stratford itself.

Ok so the the one star I've given is for the food, the food is excellent and I can't fault it. The missing 4 stars is due to the customer service. When I first visited the chip shop I thought it was amazing, a proper good east end chip shop that was family run. Over the time I have been visiting I began to notice a complete slack behaviour emerging from staff who are now serving smaller portions and occasionally burnt chips. It seems as though you are at a disadvantage if you become a regular here. The main manager (I think) has short brown/black hair and is quite short is very patronising in the way in which he serves smaller portions and denies there being any change, despite me having visited the shop many times over the last year. The other lady and male staff are quite fair and don't seem so smuge about the changes that have been made. We all know about inflation and how business may be impacted but just be honest if there have been changes especially with your regular customers.

Excellent Fish and Chips, very tasty and good portion size. Better value for money than anything you'll find inside the nearby shopping centre or London Stadium, so from now on it will be my takeaway of choice when I'm in the area.

The to go two slice pizzas are great. The staff whom own and work there are friendly, and wonderful. On my way home from work, looking for a filling bite, or Meal, great place to stop by. Well priced great service, another new local place discovered!

This is now my go to fish and chips place on a weekly basis. I usually order the haddock which is made to order so always served hot. It’s also majorly convenient that I can call ahead to make an order which saves me waiting around. Only slight peeve was that I once ordered and was told that only large haddock was available and was I ok paying more, said yes. Arrived to collect and it was the same size has the regular haddock I order - so left feeling like I’d been short changed. Anyway, if I ever call and they tell me only a large is available I’ll be giving it a pass - so lesson learned.

Used to go to their old place in forest Lane as a child in the early 90s, didn't even know they had just moved a few mins away, tried it yesterday was really nice and took my right back to my childhood..

Las patatas fritas eran pobres, la pizza no era fabuloso y los pasteles de pescado parecía algo te para la cena de la escuela! No sé qué sabor porque nos rechazaron. Obviamente formada, congelados, nada como la que caseros recién volver en Grimsby, cubierto en un horrible miga de naranja. Sin duda no es nada especial.

Piccolo negozio vicinissimo al centro commerciale di Strattford (quello vecchio). Situato in Tramway Avenue. Ha solo cibo da asporto. Fish end Chips e pizza. Se prendete la porzione media di Fish end Chips(6,70 sterline) vi daranno una porzione molto abbondante. Sia il pesce che le patatine vengono cucinate con ottimo olio. Il cibo e' digeribilissimo. Consigliato. Torneremo sicuramente.

I love they fish and chips. I am happy with the service I get. Haven't visited since February. Only thing I wish they provided sauces with fish and chips like you usually get. If you are reading this please remember to add sauces with fish and chips. Will be definitely visiting again.

Nice Fish and Chips shop! Chips are pretty standard, fish doesn't have have much batter on it, which is nice change from usual gigantic batter layer, you could actually taste the fish, which was very good. The only complaint is lack of lemon slice ;(

I Fratelli es el mejor para. chippie Yo vivo muy cerca, pero sé que la gente que viaja de calificación para conseguir su comida. El lugar ha sido en la misma familia por generaciones, y que la calidad de los espectáculos. Sirven no sólo el mejor "adecuada" y patatas fritas de pescado, pero también de pizza de muy alta calidad y pasta también - calzone de morirse! Altamente recomendado.

This place has odd opening hours but cannot fault the food. The chips are chunky, cod is always fresh and they even serve gherkins to my partners delight. Bought some recently and took it on the tube with me. It was still warm when I arrived at my destination. Travelled well.
