My fav place so far ... Fantastic music - fantastic staff and amazing drinks - what more can you want ?

Tanto el personal como los clientes fueron muy amables y serviciales. El edificio real me dejó alucinado, arte, música, caras amigables y buena comida, todo bajo el mismo techo. Visité el Tabernáculo para el desayuno y pedí el sándwich de desayuno, que disfruté muchísimo. Tanto es así que rastreé al chef y le alabé. Debe probarlo: tiene aguacate perfectamente maduro y huevos escalfados perfectamente cocidos, y mucho más. Me sentí como un plato de almuerzo en lugar de un desayuno: prepárame para todo el día. La comida es solo una pequeña parte del Tabernáculo: hay mucho que hacer desde el yoga hasta la jardinería e incluso puedes obtener asesoramiento legal gratuito. ¡Consíguete ahí abajo! Lo recomiendo altamente.

More like a village than a restaurant, real community spirit, food was great and prices were good. Very interesting menu. Great friendly service

We held a birthday party for our four year old and all his friends at the Tabernacle - the venue, food and service were all excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, the food and drink were excellent and a really good time was had by everyone! We would definitely recommend the Tabernacle to others and would love to hire it it ourselves again!

Absolutely love The Tabernacle, the building is stunning and the staff where extremely friendly going above and beyond. As you come in you are welcomed by a stunning outside courtyard, as you enter the building it oozes community and character - there’s a notice board which tells you all that happens at the Tabernacle and then an events wall where it has what’s happening in the Gallery and Theatre space. There’s great music playing whilst you enjoy traditional Caribbean food and a rum. The food came out in good time, we had starters with our drink so we felt satisfied as we waited for our mains enjoying our surroundings. The staff where very attentive and let us know about local stuff to do. I would highly recommend the tabernacle if your in and around west London - it’s a must!

Have such an amazing time each time I’m here with my twin daughters and family. It’s such a quirky space and really has a complete community and family feel. Amena who works here is such a pleasure to chat with and showed us around, also told us information about upcoming events. Professional and kind, warm customer service.

Came down to meet Charlie Mackasay and buy some lovely prints. This place is lovely sitting back from the road with its own courtyard terrace to the front. Plenty of seating inside and very comfy.

During summer Notting hill flow with nice vibes, eating out at the Tabernacle is lovely. Dishes are ok few vegetarian options.

Un bonito y luminoso lugar acogedor. Comida decente. Bien de precio. Puedes pedir comida (y por supuesto bebidas) en el bar, así que no hay servicio de mesero / mesera. PERO agregan un consejo en su factura de barra automáticamente, que paga allí y luego en el bar (12%), sin preguntar.

50 years ago we lived near Notting Hill,it has taken us until now to find this little gem.We re- visited this area about a week ago to attend a Peter Carey event.Came here from Durham ,North East England and were struggling to find somewhere to eat before the event. We decided to go straight to the Tabernacle to see whether there was a restaurant.There was,we liked the look of it and ordered a meal.The first thing we noticed was a lovely ,diverse mix of people.We would also like to comment on the extremely courteous service. The food was outstanding,the presentation first class.We were lucky enough to talk to the chef after our meal and could only congratulate him on his efforts.So, if you are in the area we can only advise you to visit the Tabernacle and the restaurant .We think you will not be disappointed.

I had never come across this venue and found the activities varied and interesting. I attended a 5x15 talk. I will return not only for the performances but for the excellent ribs . The small restaurant has a great chef and delicious food. Well worth a visit

Hemos estado aquí para el almuerzo y desayuno. La comida buena y un buen precio. Menú es pequeño, pero está bien, bueno, pero para ver los huesos de curry! El desayuno también era bueno. . Pero nos tomó una hora para nuestra comida literal y nos una de las dos mesas. Tengo que decir que la otra mesa era un grupo de 10 con varios niños desde el propio seno del diablo y deben haber enviado cada plato trasero 5 veces. . Pero el desayuno era genial! La única razón para el tiempo de espera y 3 fue morder huesos en mi envoltura de roti.

Sabía como salsa inglesa hp con algunos chili añadida. Debe ser de una botella y hacía frío. Vamos a continuar nuestra búsqueda para encontrar buena comida Caribeña para llevar. . . . .

Reservado para una cena de cumpleaños antes de una obra de teatro. I live in the area so I go quite often.This place is one of the gems of Notting hill. Avoid on festival/carnival days as it is very busy. Nice staff, great food variety including Caribbean and one of the few places that has an outside enclosed terrace for customers.Pop in for lunch , you won't regret it.

Went to see Dave Gorman filming is tv series last night it was a fantastic evening . The Tabernacle is a old church converted into a theatre and bar.Did not try the food but it looked really nice...will nip back in the future to try it.

visited for a cricket event and was pleasantly surprised. its a really nice venue with a restaurant and bar. we managed to grab some food there before the event which was very nice and good value

When in London I went to visit a friends exhibit at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill. The old church building looked inviting from the outside and on the inside there quite a couple of things going on, like theatre, boxing matches, kids creativity classes and of course art exhibitions. The restaurant serves good food for decent prices and the service is friendly.Next time i'm in London i will for sure check out the Tabernacle agenda to see what's on!

A community centre with heavily Caribbean theme. Yummy mummy's to reggae masters all contribute to the population here. Amazing food that is beautiful to behold with wide variety on menu. Ballet classes, support groups, band practice, theatre upstairs... From starting life as a church to having famous folk play here - truly an amazing place. So glad my work brought me here. Wish it was on my doorstep.

Ultra cool spot with some historic local community pictures and vibe. Mixing modern Caribbean food with local upmarket tastes. Try the goat roti or the steak and chips. You can't go wrong!

I had dinner with my familly . We order egg florentin and fresh juices . One of the best meal we had in long time. Nice place, nice staff , open kitchen. The food came really quick and i was surprise because the restaurant was really bussy. Recommend the place and i will be back.

Blue skies permitted, the courtyard of the tabernacle is the perfect place to sit on a Saturday morning before wandering the market. Apple, cucumber and broccoli juice and a buttery pain au chocolate was an enjoyable contradiction done well.

We ate West Indian Goat Curry and it was really fabulous value at under £9! It included rice or roti plus pumpkin and greens. It was cooked pretty mild, but hot sauce can always be added: once there it can't be taken out for those with a more delicate constitution! There were other styles of food on the menu but I was only focused on the West Indian section. We also has some salt fish fritters and sweet potato chips. They both seemed to be freshly cooked and were equally delicious. 2 mains, 2 starters/ sides, 3 beers, 1 soft drink, under £40 and charming service too. We were stuffed, next time will order slightly less.

Visted the tabernacle in Notting Hill had squid starter definitely not fresh squid frozen then had Caribbean fish and chips the chips were not home-made cheap frozen fries the fish was not fresh can tell it had previously been frozen too should off just went to iceland

Attended a charity event for Ebony Horse Club ,which James Bowen and Bob the famous cat was being interviewed by one of London's TV personalities .Venue was very pleasant with a nice bar and there was a jazz band playing good jazz music.The whole place was very informal and very friendly from the waiting staff . Enjoyable evening and a very informal venue for events for the Ladbroke Grove/Notting Hillresidents.

This building is fabulous. The main restaurant room is very distinctive with a nice atmosphere and a great feeling of space. The staff are cool if a little bit all over the place, but very nice. The brunch was really good. The eggs were done well (poached is easy to mess up) and they make a good hash brown. It is almost an onion bahji, but I mean this in a good way!I would definitely go back.

I visited the tabernacle last night with my mum to see Jonathan Antoine (from Jonathan and Charlotte - Britain's got talent). We planned to eat inside the restaurant, as it seemed to be the easiest thing to do. I really wasn't expecting much if I'm honest. It was however the complete opposite to what I imagined. There was a small menu but the three dishes we ordered were excellent. My mum had steak bavare and being French she always judges it by those standards. She said it was as good as what she's had in Paris. I ordered two starters of crab cakes and humous and avocado with veg and bread. Both were really delicious and I was highly impressed. The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly. They served our food to us after 15-20 mins (when we had originally been told 40 mins) and I was so grateful to them, as we didn't want to miss the show.I would highly recommend this venue and restaurant.

Nous nous sommes rendus dans cet ancien temple protestant converti en bar Resto salle d'exposition sur recommandation du Routard.. Le bâtiment est cette sympa à voir avec et une ambiance agréable. Pour ce qui est du Resto : rien d'exceptionnel. Burger moyen, bon fish and ships mais pas de quoi se rouler par terre.. Le tout accompagné de frites Mc Do et petits pois congelés. Prix toutefois abordables. Compter 10-14£ pour un plat. 4.5£ pour une bière.

A really nice place, great food and drink. We went there for a Nerina Pallot gig. Had a fabulous time, managed to get right up front by the stage. There are a few seats on the side and at the back if you prefer to sit down.It was nice to be able to sit down inside and enjoy a drink or two before queuing up inside about 35 minutes before the gig.

We ate in the bar here recently whilst waiting to see a show in the theater. Highly recommended! An interesting range of food, all of it freshly prepared and served hot. Not outrageously expensive (considering it is London). It gets quite busy on "show nights" so it's definitely worth getting there early...

Fabulous authentic converted church , fashionable boho . I used to go here in the 80's to watch break dance practice now this has been transformed . A lovely long bar trendy and open . Great garden area in the front. The heart of Ladbroke Grove .

Vous y mangerez des plats de grande qualité et d'un bon rapport qualité prix. Que ce soit pour un breakfast, des sandwichs (le chèvre au miel et pesto est une tuerie), des burgers, tout le monde y trouvera son bonheur. Personnel hyper sympathique. Beautiful spot in an Evangelist church.The patio is lovely for a Sunday brunch and the breakfast is overall good. Coffee was not that good so better go for tea or fresh juices.It was very peaceful until a group of 30 went out of the church and stand next to us for an hour or so...Even though, go and enjoy. It's a very pleasant place to be while summer is still on London!

We booked a table outside for Sunday lunch online, no trouble at all. The courtyard is lovely, shaded and sunny areas... Nice big tables. We were welcomed by staff and seated then given long menus with specials on the board. 4 roasts, a steak and burger ordered. The lamb roast was delicious! Huge amount (unusual) of flavourful lamb with trimmings and a proper mint sauce. Steak good chips divine! Burger was given 7/10 but tasty. Staff were lovely, relaxed but attentive. Clientele very mixed families and groups, fortunately the saddos star spotting go to the pubs which leaves the nice people here to chill. Will definitely go again, breakfast I think which looked delicious too.

Originally a Christian Evangelical place of worship, now a community art centre offering food and drink. Not far from Portobello but an oasis of calm, certainly when we visited. Large tree lined frontage with tables dotted around and further seating inside. The place had a relaxing vibe with jazz playing in the background and West Indian influences. We had some nice coffee and also ordered some pancakes. However, after quite a long wait they hadn't arrived so we did not get to sample the food. Hence the average rating. We will return in the future as some items on the menu looked interesting and hopefully by then the food service will have speeded up.
