The best restaurants serving Vegetarian food in London

Devastated to find this wonderful, cosy little vegetarian restaurant (established 1978) has now permanently closed. Streatham won’t be the same without this oasis of calm. Their World Famous Banofee pie, generous salads and bakes now gone forever. Farewell to Kim and all the lovely staff and thanks for all the delicious veggy food and organic wines over the years.

Gema oculta, delicioso desayuno y almuerzo, pequeño poco acogedor cálido y amable. El personal es encantador y los precios son razonables, especialmente dada la zona y el costo de los ingredientes frescos ahora.

Recomiendo encarecidamente y volveremos por más. La carne estaba deliciosa derretida en tu boca y muy bien presentada 👌 El personal muy amable y servicial de primera clase! !

I’ve been visiting this cafe since the late nineties. It was great value for money. Generous portions and made vegetarian food delicious at a time veggie options were bland in shops and canteens. It’s so popular you have to share tables. The queue to order is long and slow moving. It’s a hidden gem. I’ve seen online they’ve cut back on hot meal options. Undoubtedly they were hit by the pandemic and following cost of living crisis. Looking forward to dropping by later.

Una tragedia! Uno de mis lugares favoritos para empezar la tarde. Delicioso y comidas ligeras innovadoras, gran café, que espléndido salvia y cebolla bollo con Apple medusas, esas galletas caseras maravillosos de sandwich y en un lugar tan bonito. El otro día fuimos a encontrar un anuncio diciendo que había trasladado a los pastos nuevamente. Estoy llorando por dentro.

I've been going here for nearly 5 years and they do the best lamb kofte. They also do excellent burgers and if you ask they'll do the chips extra crispy. Staff is very friendly and they're open till around 2am.

1 star poor service We ordered takeaway to be delivered. We got half of an order and refused to deliver the rest of the order unless we paid the delivery charge so we asked for a full refund and they refused because of an incomplete order do not use this takeaway ever absolutely disgusting behaviour from a restaurant. Over 35 minutes on the phone talking to customer service To your reply, we ordered 3 dishes each comes with a veg curry you only supplied one curry to go with all 3 dishes. Be a little bit more honest in your reply and they’re not complimentary we pay for them as set out in your menu we also had to return the meal to get the refund and it was only then that someone apologised and explained to us that the 2 veg curries was left behind by the delivery driver

The best choice for those looking for delicious, fresh, and clean food at a reasonable price. Most importantly, the staff’s behavior is incredibly polite and delightful.

Lovely bookshop in the heart of the Portobello market. It's quite small and can be crowded in here, especially with seated customers. Best to get here before lunchtime. There is a great selection of books covering many different topics of food. Well worth a visit.

Nice service interesting menu . lots of local info. Food is vegan. Lovely garden area.

Food was bad in taste especially falafel dish felt like stale. Service was not good and staff was rude.

The food was fine. Unfortunately, some of the staff lacked even the most basic social skills, and didn't seem comfortable interacting with customers. The museum itself is great, and deserves better than this strange and unfriendly place.

Food not bad but expensive for what it is, the view is not even beautiful.

Really big asset to the community this flag ship store which should remain open as a community asset this part of the street will Never be the same. End of an era.
