This lovely little cafe has been a favourite place for the whole family and hearing that they have had to close down due to the building being redeveloped ,we are all hoping and praying they can start out again and open up in new premises

Workman's breakfast false advertised. Read 'sausages' but only 1 on plate, asked if this was correct despite the sign, they said it was. Was quite funny when she did offer to cook another, but for extra money as is standard. This should have been corrected free of charge as the advertisement was clear. Eggs were below average, bacon was dry, sausage was ok, coffee was ok, toast was warm bread. Fair play had ample beans and chips. Other member of staff played bad music loudly off her phone in the dining area during her break. They do seem like nice people honestly, friendly, polite etc, but just oblivious to good cafe etiquette. Save your money, go elsewhere!

Fabulous music venue. It's quite small, so if there is an act that you particularly want to see, then do book ahead. There are some long tables with benches and chairs, as well as smaller tables and chairs if you want to sit down. They also serve some delicious savoury food, and often have a selection of cakes.

This is my favourite tea shop, I always come here when I'm in London to get a good and strong Assam tea. The Masala Chai and the Malt Tea are delicious too. And the staff is really friendly, it's always good to catch up with the owner.

An interesting "take-away-but-not-too-far" concept. An artsy restaurant where the bathroom is, hands down, the real masterpiece (honestly, if I ever get IBS, that's where I'd want to be stuck). We ordered a tasty bowl filled with a random assortment of ingredients plus salmon, served in a premium disposable container (guess the dishwasher was feeling lazy that night). The music was fantastic, featuring a polyrhythmic experience complete with unexpected short tacets, occasionally turning into full-on silences. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, so much so that he even let us in on the secret menu items. The downside? Peroni Nastro Azzurro.

Our first pie in London, and was a very decent one! 🥧 didn’t know what to expect to be honest, and was excited to try one of their famed dishes. Ordered the fungi mushroom, and thought the filling was fairly generous - we didn’t love the sauce though, but it’s probably just us as it’s some form of cream based sauce. While it’s not a dish that we love and enjoy, it’s a good pie for a first try.

Wow what a sad and stark contrast to the one in Liverpool st which I go to almost every day. None of the usual happy smiling staff for a start, no welcome no nothing just fixed stares and a very odd vibe.. Then the main event the food even that looked jaded and hard done by. Most of all the young girl who served me my small salad took great effort to make it super small and put about half a spoonful of each in the box where at Liverpool st you always get way more than that.. Maybe she had been told to do this who knows but I ended up with a half empty box where at Liverpool st it's always joyously full. I remarked on the contrast and was ignored until I pointed out i wasn't talking to myself and I got some mumble about a spoonful. (it really wasn't - so much so I asked for the same salad twice) I really don't know what's going on in this branch, maybe they're closing but going on this shenanigans it's Liverpool st all the way.
