Love coming here, it's my go to local spot. The hot chocolate is divine and staff is always super friendly

Friends and family highly recommended this place and obviously my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I was encountered with a very frosty service, the person behind the counter looked like they didn't want to be there. They made me feel almost as if they were doing me a favour instead of providing a service, a costly service as well! I asked for a coffee and I was given a stone cold, burnt and tasteless drink, taking into account it was 1°C outside the last thing I was expecting to get was a cold drink!! I would have grabbed something from the fridge if that had been the case. When I told the person serving they looked like they had been insulted by my comment. Your staff would benefit from customer service and more importantly, barrister training. Not everyone is going to your establishment to purposely offend you, sometimes we also have constructive feedback you can 'maybe' learn from. I felt deflated and I wasted my money!!

Fantastic food and great chilled atmosphere, I get the the ceaser salad everytime and it never disappoints!!

Unfriendly, terse, cliché, and absurdly full of offensive literature, posters, and flags. Not all local residents share your particular form of exclusionary politics. I like the LGBTQ flags a lot, but not the other ones, including ones that refer to Israeli "genocide" and the Labour government's complicity in this.

A little slice of rock n roll, vegan food, coffee HEAVEN. As a lover of well made Americana food like chili, burgers, corn dogs, hashbrowns etc I rarely have the pleasure of indulging as I’m gluten and dairy free. Not only does this place have a ✨banging✨ menu it’s all VEGAN!! Aaaaand it’s super fresh and tasty ingredients - healthy comfort food. I had the chilli smothered hashbrowns (£6.50!!) and wow……. Super crispy hash (not oily at all) delicious bean chilli with guac, dash of vegan cream, pickled jalapeños and onions. It was delicious. If I had on a different pair of jeans and they weren’t about to close I would have ordered two meals. Not even kidding. Will 100% be back. Music was also 👍

There are thousands of wonderful vegan restaurants worldwide, but places that focus on terrific breakfasts are tough to find. The Waiting Room is one of the best vegan comfort food breakfast spots I've encountered. The offerings are diverse, including several bagel sandwiches and brunch rolls, chick'n Caesar salad, as well as loaded hash browns. You can also load up your sandwich with sides of vegan bacon, cheese, avocado crema, and sausage patties. Additionally, they offer chicken and beef style burgers after 12:00 PM. Prices are some of the lowest I've seen in London. I stayed up the street for five nights and made it here for breakfast every morning of my visit. Cool owners and staff, good music that's not played too loud, reliable wifi, and even a nice patio in the back. There's nothing not to like!

Very cool vegan caffee, relaxed atmosphere, good coffee and food and reasonable prices. I am not vegan but feeling adventurous I ordered SO'cal vegan chicken burger which was amazing, crunchy and tasty.

I was skeptical when I saw the food, but it was actually amazing. Excellent flavors, and filling too. I can't wait to come back here.

i’m a local and have been here so so many times and it is an absolute gem of an establishment. friendly service, great selection of sweet things and pastries, delicious and inventive burgers, fries and breakfast bagels, super cool decor and music, lovely outside seating area. the fact that the vegan meat is made in house is very impressive. would highly recommend the chicken lickin breakfast bagel (£5.90, a steal) and the potato salad!

Had breakfast there a few times . Decent menu and nice staff. Lost a star as the oat milk always curdles in the coffee and it tastes sour . Not sure if they use barrista oat milk or not but it doesn't work in their coffee.

The absolute best little spot in London. I wish they did their amazing vegan bagels all days but the evening menu is equally as grand. Coffee is fantastic and just a really lovely spot.

Great little vegan shop! Coffee, breakfast and more. When we stayed in Deptford we were right down the road, so this place became a bit of a staple on our trip. Highly recommend.

Where else can you enjoy black coffee and Black Sabbath at 8am? Doesn't get much better than that.

My favourite vegan breakfast in south east. The self-serve dining creates some anxiety with a hangover but the bagels more than make up for it, chewy and full of flavour.

Best coffee in Deptford! They serve scrumptious vegan bagels and burgers. I am a big fan of their breakfast bagel! The service is great and overall the atmosphere is super cool and chilled.

Tried for the first time after swimming with the toddlers and it was perfect. Some of the other coffee shops in the area are not as welcoming.

A truly wonderful place to try vegan food. It's the second time I've had breakfast there. It was recommended by 2 hard core vegans and I wasn't disappointed. Even though I'm a carnivor through and through. I even have one of their t-shirts and tote bags.

Staff are always very friendly. Great atmosphere, quirky decor that makes this place unique. The food is amazing! Credit to the chef! Whatever we order from the menu, it comes out quick, hot and the serving is generous. Plus he's always friendly which is nice. Our overall experience here is always 5/5. The variety of vegan/veggie food is soo good. I tell my friends about this place. The meat substitution, particularly the death burger, makes it one of the best non-meat burgers I've tried. The prices are good too, value for money - what's not to like!

I'm not vegan but this has become one of my go to places for lunch on my working from home days on dog walks when passing by. Coffee is better than some of the other local spots across the road.

I love this place. Just for a coffee to chill or work or for amazing food. I am never disappointed and everyone is truly lovely. I often go to work with my dog , he seems to find it comfy there too. One of my favourite places in Deptford.

Really lovely atmosphere, we came here as a group of 3 and it was very cheap. All the options are vegan, the bacon is very nice and worth a try, also cheap (30p a piece, we got 6 for 1.80) it’s great vegan food because it is very affordable. I had the chickin lickin sandwich (again vegan, but tasted like chicken!) and it was very yummy and filling.

The Waiting Room is a very relaxed, friendly place with delicious vegan food and good quality drinks. We visited at the beginning of July and all had the chicken bagel with sides and drinks.

Our favourite place to go to while in London! Every option I love and it's nice not to worry about things not being vegan. I especially like the poutine and all the chicken and the atmosphere is radical and welcoming.

Fantastic vegan food that is reasonably priced and wicked atmosphere

Only got some hot drinks, but the food looked pretty good! The staff was Very kind and polite + cool atmosphere. The food service is an experience 👌 Limited tables but doesn’t affect your time there if you’re okay to adapt. They also have a lovely, cosy outdoor space.

Amazing vegan + veggie bagel selection with loaded hash browns (imagine nachos but with potato goodness instead), I will be coming back soon! With coffee, tea, two bagels, and loaded hash browns, only came to £22 in total.

Nice atmosphere, nice decor. We were here with my son, I ate a bagel with hashbrown, chicken and cheese sauce, and yes, excellent. Fries with mozarela are good for me, but too spicy for boy, still learning how to order food for him. We will be back!

Chilled vibe and not full of itself, excellent vegan cafe. Reasonable prices and lots of perches for singles to sit and enjoy a giant breakfast sandwich. Cute little garden in the rear is a perfect place to hide away and read, write or relax.

I know this coffee shop for so long,feel like at home when I am here.The service is doing very well,coffee always done to perfection,this shop has so much to offer for everyone:garden,a lot of space to seat,cakes,food ,soft drinks and much more.What I love about this place is how everyone is relaxed over here,is no rush, no pressure ,no stress ahhhhhhh I can write and write how amazing they are.The truth of the matter is If you want to drink amazing coffee and eat great food you need to wait 🙂and enjoy all process. Amazing little cafe. I had an oat milk flat white which was lovely. I also had a vegan croissant which was very tasty! Amazing decor inside and lovely vibe. Staff were very friendly too.

Reasonably priced good coffee and vegan food. I find food can vary depending on who’s working sometimes can be a bit greasy / messy but always tasty. Today was really great standard. I got usual of Chickn lickn and oat latte. Dog friendly and nice place to go alone or as a group. Outdoor sitting nice in summer.

This place, along with its much missed sister The Full Nelson, has been serving the best vegan food in Deptford for almost a decade now. From its very small beginnings further down the High Street to its larger current site, with front and back Outdoor seating, holding late nights too to fill that Full Nelson void. I've only come during lunch time - coffee is decent but the bagels is what we all come for (Spicy Maiden, Breakfast and their Chick'n are my go-to) along with their hot dogs (bagels I believe are still delivered every morning by bike from Brick Lane). It's loved by locals for a reason!

Insanely cheap bagels, especially considering they’re filled with creative vegan meat substitutes. The chick’n lick’n is insanely good, as is the Big Poppa. Staff are friendly and the coffee is also delicious. So nice to visit a great, small vegan business. Will keep coming back as long as they keep serving!

Wonderful place - I'm here most days...chilled vibe, excellent bagels, and not over-lit so it's a great spot to hide from the world for a few hours.

Not sure how this place is highly rated- visited today had the breakfast sandwich rubbish and tiny literally 3 bites and the coffee was “ok”. Service is ok not the most friendliest group of people. I asked the guy to clean the table and he was miserable about it, Maybe because I’m not a “hipster” and just a normal born and raised Londoner 🙄

Very warm and relaxing atmosphere, great coffee and very helpful and friendly service. You can enjoy your coffee and work on your laptop. The place is quiet and there are many choices for breakfast or brunch.

Lovely vegan coffee shop/bar/restaurant with very reasonable prices. If (like me) you miss the Full Nelson, the good news is that they now serve the burgers here!

The coffee is delicious! But the best of the best are the tacos and margaritas on Friday and Saturday afternoons/evenings♥️

If I'm ever in the area I have to go back to The Waiting Room! Still haven't made it for dinner but their breakfasts are incredible. I've had the chicken and classic ones, both delicious and always make me think I should order a second! Lovely coffee and great service too.

Perfect coffee. Excellent value, all veggie with vegan options. Bagels, and hot dogs with trademark Deptford death sauce (optional!). Tea, hot chocolate and fentimanns soft drinks. Home made smoothies and milkshakes ("hard" versions available in the evening). Great flapjacks, brownies "blondies" and other cakes, with vegan options. The tiny cafe is an expression of the things that they love - irony, metal, coffee and humour. Open weekend evenings for awesome cocktails. Love it. My favourite place to be. Small step into entrance. Level access to small toilet. Small garden seating outside Dog friendly.
