Lazy. Didn’t have the pie I wanted, no gravy, no peas, wasn’t offered a fork, and the pies lid wasn’t attached. Pies are just bought in anyhow and though good you can’t help thinking there’s no effort involved other than warming them up.

Be warned - there is no mash or gravy!!! I love pieminister and was so excited to take my husband there for his first ever pie experience but I guess we will have to wait until next time in the UK. Seriously, what kind of a pie shop doesn't have gravy?! Love you guys but I was devastated 😭😅

Our first pie in London, and was a very decent one! 🥧 didn’t know what to expect to be honest, and was excited to try one of their famed dishes. Ordered the fungi mushroom, and thought the filling was fairly generous - we didn’t love the sauce though, but it’s probably just us as it’s some form of cream based sauce. While it’s not a dish that we love and enjoy, it’s a good pie for a first try.

Had the steak and Stilton. Was ok. Meat was tender but the Stilton flavour was too subtle in my opinion. If you like Stilton or blues in general, then you want to taste the funk! Also slightly under seasoned, but this was probably due to the pastry being a bit lacklustre. It was thin & crisp for sure, but not at all buttery or moorish like a good pie pastry. When I lived in london years ago, this was a must visit at borough market, but after my visit today, I’d be happy to skip it. I swear there also used to be a mash/pea/gravy offering but I may be confusing this with something else. I also dislike the lack of sauce offering. I think a small dollop of sauce can really elevate a pie as it adds an element of tart and sweet to what is otherwise a very savoury experience. I’m definitely not a ‘put sauce on everything’ person, but I think for most people, a little sauce with a pie is a must-have, especially when unfortunately, the pie falls short on its own. Guy behind the counter was also pretty gruff. Don’t expect a parade or the red carpet but a vague air of ‘we appreciate your business’ is always appreciated.

We were bumbling round the market when we stumbled upon this quaint lil pie stand, tucked away under the arches. HOLY MOOOOOO! I wasn’t even hungry and this pie forced its way into my stomach. I tried the Blue&Moo after a recommendation from a nice Italian man and his kind hearted short haired colleague. The pie has shot to the the top of my pie list, it’s just soooooo comforting, warm and cheesy. My partner is vegan and tried the Mooless Moo- She had to go to bed early because she was so happy. The price for one of these warm pockets of joy is unbelievably reasonable. Just do it, get yourself under the arches and crack on, I will be returning and bringing my family.

This was my first pie in the UK so I wasn't sure what to expect. The pies really hit the spot so perfectly! I tried two. The mooless moo jackfruit pie was a great vegetarian option. Get it warm because it's worth that extra fifty cents and the pies wouldn't be as good if cold. The moo pie steak and ale option was my favorite. Pieminister is a chain of pie shops that originated in Bristol, England. They have a number of locations in London, including one in Borough Market. The Borough Market location is a small stall for takeaway pies. The pies at Pieminister are made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. They offer a wide variety of pies, including both traditional and more creative options. Some of the signature pies include the Steak and Ale Pie, the Chicken and Mushroom Pie, and the Vegetarian Pie. Overall, the pies are yummy, filling, and good value for money for the location, and a great food to munch on whilst roaming around Borough Market.

We specifically went searching for Pieminister during our final day of a trip to London. Located in the amazing Borough Market, we almost walked right by the stall they were set up in. Prices were fair for the portion, so if you're looking for something to stick to your stomach for about 5 pounds then this place is for you. I also imagine that they travel pretty well. However, while we planned to get 2 for immediate consumption and 2 more for the road we decided not to get the additional 2. The pies weren't bad, they just were... that's it. They just were. Neither good nor bad. In fact, while I can tell you that we had two different pies I cannot remember which ones we got. They were that memorable. An interesting "take-away-but-not-too-far" concept. An artsy restaurant where the bathroom is, hands down, the real masterpiece (honestly, if I ever get IBS, that's where I'd want to be stuck). We ordered a tasty bowl filled with a random assortment of ingredients plus salmon, served in a premium disposable container (guess the dishwasher was feeling lazy that night). The music was fantastic, featuring a polyrhythmic experience complete with unexpected short tacets, occasionally turning into full-on silences. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, so much so that he even let us in on the secret menu items. The downside? Peroni Nastro Azzurro.

The best tea in the UK . My hubby and I were on vaca and we chance upon this tea place . We were also lucky to meet the owner ( super nice guy ) and he was the one who prepared our tea. The tea is top of the line , smooth and very tasty . I haven't tasted anything like this before. I will definitely go back and buy more .
