This is my favourite tea shop, I always come here when I'm in London to get a good and strong Assam tea. The Masala Chai and the Malt Tea are delicious too. And the staff is really friendly, it's always good to catch up with the owner.

Product is nothing special. Just because the shop is in Borough Market does not guarantee quality. The owner was preposterously rude. On asking about a variety of tea, she replied and I quote 'It is too good for ordinary people'. Now I do not take kindly to this attitude of superiority. And will never take my business there and would advise anybody else to exercise caution.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. To be honest I was quite disappointed both with tea selection and by knowledge of the staff. They have a lot of flavored teas but very few real teas. When you find smth and ask them where the Te Guan Yin comes from, they do not know other than that it is coming from China. Once I asked them about red teas and they started talking about roiboos and had no idea that red teas are a type of black teas to make it simple. Overall, this store might work only for a beginner or for those who add milk to their tea

Products are great. However the lady owner is absolutely miserable. Went there to buy chai today it was a shame her husband was not there as he actually a nice friendly person. His wife is miserable and zero customer service and friendliness. I am not surprised they have a sign looking for staff especially with the miserable 🙁 attitude with customers she must be even worse with the staff! Feel even more sorry for the husband!

great tea shop, wide selection and knowledgeable staff. the cream earl grey is excellent, got a bag for me and a present for someone else. It also has sufficient strength that one teaspoon of it is enough for a decent pot of around 2.5 cups of tea to share with someone. We also had a chai tea to go which was refreshing to drink as we wandered around the market.

We had been planning our trip to London, and looking forward to the teas for at least 4 months. And we got there 3 minutes after closing, not open the next day, and leaving for home in any event. The amazing, wonderful, awesome lady at Tea2You re-opened the shop for us, and we spent about £125 on a wide variety of teas. We had a wonderful conversation about the various types, proper preparation and teacups, and other world-changing topics. If you're going to visit London from abroad, you must get tea, and this is THE place if you're near the Borough Market. EDIT: Just brewed a cup of the Darjeeling first flush... WOW!

I discovered this little shop in Borough Market, London, in 2019 and I've kept ordering tea here since. Lot of taste, fair trade, they have the best and most original tea I ever had and these are affordable. And they ship to Switzerland and Europe with no excessive costs. I definitely recommand this place if you want the best teas. My favorites : Cream Earl Grey, and also the last one I discoverd : the malt tea, which is extraordinary if you like the taste of... Bourbon !

Very friendly service, very knowledgeable and great teas. I bought the Masala Chai Tea in tea bags, which tastes great exactly as they recommend how you make it. £5.99 for 25 tea bags is a bit steep, and I wish they had larger packets of loose leaf tea to save wasting so many tea bags and plastic!

Tried the White and Rose Bud, the Darjeeling First Flush, and Jasmine Flower Tea and the tastes were unlike any of my organic bought teas from M&S. Not just is the tea so rich, the owner Ratan is an amazing person who has an immense passion/ knowledge for the tea! He taught me so much in 15 minutes that I was in shock at how much I didn't know.

I keep visiting this shop since I discovered Ratan and his tea rather randomly. Being a a bit of a tea snob am skeptic of tea shops in London, and am not easy to please. But after tasting some of his teas and his description of the palette of each, I very quickly realised that he is one of those tea tasters who are rare to find. Am in love with the velvety caramely house blend right now though even the first flush he had given me to taste was fab. If you are into tea and in London, don't even bother trying any other shop. And Ratan is great- now my family and friend circle both know him, and have the highest regards for him!

Stumbled on this shop in the Borough market. Was planning to spend all my tea budget at Fortnum & Masons, but I love tea and can't resist a free tasting. Ended up buying 2. Darjeeling 1st flush and an Oolong tea that tasted differently from any other Oolong tea I've tried, which were all from either China or Taiwan. This, interestingly was from India, and while I tried it with skepticism, I ended up buying some, because it had a lovely (if somewhat non-Oolong-like) flavour. They will brew teas for you to try and also made a nice chai with fresh ginger and spices.

I always fit a visit to tea2you into my annual London trip. Ratan moved up from a stall in Borough Market to a shop almost a year ago. I hung around for about an hour, tasted all the teas and chatted to Ratan. He is an inspiration: he loves tea and he wants to share that with you and he works very hard. Perhaps I could fly to Darjeeling, climb the mountains and find good Darjeeling - if you don't have the time for that then Ratan is your best option.

I have been here for 5 weeks now without having an excellent cup of Darjeeling first flush, which I drink most of the time at home in Canada. I had been to Twinnings tasted their and was far from being impressed by their first flush Darjeeling at 40 pounds/100 g!!! This guy here , Guranje, really knows about tea and Darjeeling is his "specialtea" no kidding. The he served me was a very green and fresh one and had that special under taste that only Darjeeling have. It was a very subtle and delicate tea and one of the very good Darjeelings FF I had. The price was fair at 14 pounds for 150g , I will certainly order online from him. He was just very secretive about the garden his tea came from... Answering it was never the same, from very small producers and even from his own, maybe he has never been asked that question and did not want to share his secrets. He was nice enough to offer me a full cup with my purchase and it felt soooo good! If you, like me, still do not understand why the English let the leaves infuse for hours and then add tons of sugar and milk to mask the bitterness of their tea, then this is your guy! If you are used to a ton of sugar and milk in your tea, give his teas a try. You won't be disappointed.

My advise to tourist from round the world should buy the proper teas from tea2you , London Borough Market except going to anywhere. They are also selling Assam , English Breakfast, Oolong , White tea, Indian Masala Chai. Our first pie in London, and was a very decent one! 🥧 didn’t know what to expect to be honest, and was excited to try one of their famed dishes. Ordered the fungi mushroom, and thought the filling was fairly generous - we didn’t love the sauce though, but it’s probably just us as it’s some form of cream based sauce. While it’s not a dish that we love and enjoy, it’s a good pie for a first try.

An interesting "take-away-but-not-too-far" concept. An artsy restaurant where the bathroom is, hands down, the real masterpiece (honestly, if I ever get IBS, that's where I'd want to be stuck). We ordered a tasty bowl filled with a random assortment of ingredients plus salmon, served in a premium disposable container (guess the dishwasher was feeling lazy that night). The music was fantastic, featuring a polyrhythmic experience complete with unexpected short tacets, occasionally turning into full-on silences. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, so much so that he even let us in on the secret menu items. The downside? Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
