As a Thai student living in Glasgow, I am always on the lookout for authentic Thai food that reminds me of home. I recently visited The Thai Restaurant, and I was truly impressed by the quality, authenticity, and passion that go into their dishes. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel at home. The flavors in every dish were perfectly balanced, just like in Thailand—fragrant, fresh, and full of depth. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, and the level of spice was spot on, staying true to Thai cuisine rather than being overly adjusted for Western tastes. Beyond the food, I really appreciated their commitment to eco-friendly practices. Whether it’s through sustainable packaging, minimal waste, or responsible sourcing of ingredients, it’s clear that they care not just about their customers but also about the environment. If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience in Glasgow, this is the place to go. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Thai flavors and appreciates food made with passion and care!

We've been to this place a couple of times, tried different dishes, and it's been consistently AMAZING. The balance of bold flavours on every plate is absolutely spot on. The pork belly in fish tamarind caramel sauce is the best we've ever had! It has a few seats inside and it's a fantastic option for delivery and collection, with reasonable prices and awesome food. Lovely staff too!

For my penultimate meal in 2022 my friend and I decided to try this charming place in the west end . Overall it was a great experience. The inside had a lovely decor with a great atmosphere . The staff were very friendly and attentive . The food was really good . We went for sharing plates which consisted of salt and chilli chicken wings , onion rings , vegetable gyoza , chilli chicken bao buns and pork burnt ends loaded fries . Each portion was very tasty and bursting with flavour. My favourite plates were the salt and chilli boneless chicken and the bao buns . The total bill including drinks came to £44 which is really good. If you are looking for Asian fusion cuisine in the west end then definitely check this place out .

DARTS DEN A pleasant night but not on a par with Flight Club or Arrowsmiths. Area is badly laid out and it’s obvious the space hasn’t been designed for darts as you have to walk across oches to get to the bar. Also not a fan of the projector system. Staff were helpful and friendly albeit a little slow at the upstairs bar.

We booked the 9.45pm - 11.45pm reservation slot. Thinking this would give us plenty of time to enjoy a relaxed anniversary dinner - how wrong were we! We received a telephone call at 9.46pm asking where we were. They then proceeded to tell us that they could no longer accommodate our reservation as the kitchen closes at 9.45pm. We were outside the restaurant at this point. After a few words back and fourth, they honoured the booking. Once inside and order placed, they told us our starters and mains would be served at the same time to allow the kitchen to close. Why advertise a 2hr table slot if you are not willing to accommodate!? We were made to feel like an inconvenience. Made to feel like we were holding the staff back. It was very uncomfortable. My husband and I rushed our food so quickly, I felt sick. I was so disappointed with the attitude of the staff, particularly the one who called us. Thank you for ruining our 10th wedding anniversary meal Chaophraya!

I got a Beef Curry a few days ago. The rice and sauce were nice but the beef was terrible. Every bit of beef had to be chewed for ages. I gave up after attempting to eat a few bits. I took a few bits out of my mouth and I could stretch every bit of beef which seemed like rubber as it went back into its original shape. I've had chicken curries before and they were fine but beef, no more.
