The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Brilliant service really friendly staff and the food is delicious and cooked freshly.

I have been going to this chip shop my whole life so 44 years and I have never in that time found another chip shop that can hold a candle to the Monkmoor Fish Bar. The chips are cooked to order which means they are always amazing and personal I love the cheese and onion fry it. I live in Sydney now, but always make sure to return for a chip dinner whenever I’m in Shrewsbury and I’m always happy to see the same people who have owned it there after all these years, just as friendly as they have always been. This isn’t just the best chip shop in Shrewsbury, it’s the best chip shop full stop and is a proper Shrewsbury institution.

Lovely quick service and a nice full menu to choose from. Fish was fresh and tasted great. Chips were OK. Curry sauce was not fresh so would avoid. Would definitely visit again however as the price was great.

Buitifull fish and chips, lovely clean shop, great service. I was served by Ellie and Ellie was very polite and was over and beyond, she is a great asset to your work team. Will certainly be back.

Bought to take home so can't rate atmosphere. Granddaughter had calamari, we all tried it and it was lovely.

Finally I have found a fish shop, where the food was tasty, hot no lumps in the gravy and the peas are mushy. This might sound ridiculous, but after eating or should I say placing in the bin because the food was poor and a complete waste of money, it was great to find somewhere my family enjoyed. The cost, to be honest you get what you pay, so no complaints there. Staff, pleasant and friendly and the establishment was very clean. Choice, good selection for everyone. Definitely return. Will recommend.

Excellent value fish and chips. Freshly cooked. Friendly service.

What a mistake I made when I decided to eat from here. The grey, dry fish was covered in the greasiest batter I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Not much could even be said of the cardboard chips. After a few brave attempts, I decided not to finish the self-inflicted torture. Also, I was very loose later that evening. Not a good experience. Giving a bad name to fish and chips. Disgusting.
