Very good fish and chips and good customer service. Everything is fried in beef dripping and the cod we had, was cooked perfectly. Portion sizes are generous and all is reasonably priced. Worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

Unfortunately, as the Lord Nelson pub was so bad and run by drunks, we saw the sign for the fish and chip shop, dicided to wait for it to open, just to find out i could'nt eat here as they use beef fat to cook with, i am not fussy and holier than thou about being a veggie, but could not bring myself to eat here. In this day and age, really? Also my child nearly choked on a couple of fish bones. Not seen fishbones in a chippy for years, so the suppliers must be second rate.child enjoyed it though.

Moored here and my husband asked in the water side pub if they could provide food to takeaway so we could eat on the boat, as we’d had an upsetting accident, were told no! The pub staff were unhelpful and to be honest, didn’t seem to want (or deserve) our business, so my husband wandered up the hill and found this outstanding fish & chip shop. The food here is fresh, superbly cooked and generous in portion size. What a find! Wish we were locals! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and my husband said you were all so polite and friendly. No wonder there was a queue out the door. Thank you - you really turned a horrible day around. Sitting on the boat eating gorgeous fish & chips watching the sun setting made us all feel better x

On our son's recommendation we tried Reedham Fish & Chip Shop last Friday evening. He was quite right. The Fish was really fresh and pure white with nice batter. The chips, which are cooked in beef dripping were delicious. Everything was cooked to order so there was a short wait but it was worth it. We had the standard sized portions which were fine but, if you have a large appetite, go for the large. Well priced. Best to check when they are open as I think it is only Thursday, Friday and Saturday but they open at 12.30 lunchtime and 4.30 for the evening sessions.

During our recent boating holiday during October half term, we decided to moor for the night at Reedham near the Lord Nelson. Unfortunately the pub had closed down but I noticed a sign near by indicating that the local chip shop opened at 4.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There was a further advert on the notice board near the harbour masters hut. So off we trotted at about 5pm up the narrow lane to find the shop only to find it closed with a notice on the window indicating that it was shut on the 30th and 31st October as well as 1st November. "Sorry for any inconvenience" was stated at the bottom of the notice. It would of been nice for a copy of the notice to have been posted near the moorings! So unfortunately I cannot comment about the quality of the food but just put some constructive criticism about the lack of notices for boaters about the shop being closed!

We visited this lovely little shop whilst holidaying in Norfolk! A friend of ours had recommended it so we knew it was a must on our places to visit. It has to be said we were not disappointed. Delicious, expertly fried fish with friendly banter from the staff. The chips were cooked to perfection, no grease and tasted a treat whilst sitting by the river (a short walk down the hill) watching the boats pass by. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of this kind and food is cooked to individual taste. If you ever plan to be visiting this part of Norfolk give this shop a visit, it's well worth a detour!

This is a great fish and chip shop - used it a couple of times when staying for a week in Reedham and would definitely go back. The issues are that it's only open Thurs to Sat and that when I was there they were running out of some of the things we wanted to order - I got the last large cod. This isn't all bad though as it shows the shop is not trying to overextend itself and only opening when it's going to get significant custom - on a quiet night in another place, who knows how long that fish has been lying about in the heater by the time you get there? You also have to shout out special orders - e.g. large etc. when you get there - meaning that you're sure it's been cooked to order.
