We went here at the beginning of a weekend away. Unfortunately it was a really disappointing meal. We rang to order & were told it would be ready in half an hour. We arrived at that time but still had to wait. We weren’t offered salt & vinegar and when we checked were told we had to request it when placing the order! The chips were pale and undercooked. I wouldn’t go again!

NiceFish and chip shop but has become considerably more expensive than brundall chip shop. So that is where I go now. It a shame as the food is excellent

Oh dear do you like WENTWORTH TUCKER well you'll get it here as these are total 💩 and the staff are miserable and rude I thought the FREAK would be working in this chicken hut 🛖 chippy so if you wanna see FERGUSON then you 😉 go in this god forsaken place I say don't bother just go home OK

Well the fish was cod batter sloppy wet huge pile of chips only problem very pale and under cooked hard in the middle two cod chips for this rubbish over nineteen pounds well disappointing.

1st time having Fish and Chips tea for months as eating out costs so much money now so was really looking forward to having this. 2 pieces of Cod, 1 portion of chips and mushy peas came to £16 which is a massive jump in price but it is was it is in these rising costs. The chips were ok but the fish was over cooked and rubbery, very disappointing considering how much it cost. We always used to get out fish ad chip tea from here but will be going elsewhere when we can next afford to eat out.

Food was very nice and relatively quick, got it all in about 10 minutes after ordering, would recommend to those living in and around blofield

Shocking service, Awful food. I’ve given it one star as the lights were on. Would rather eat a Pot Noodle made with cold water than go here again.

This place is not worth your money or time, trust me when I say this they barely gave me and my family food, unprofessional staff and not understanding of what I was ordering!! Never coming back again I do not recommend! The food did not taste worth what I paid and wasted my time for! Like who wants to pay £60 for some fish and chips! Another point is that they don’t accept card!!! Like who in their right mind carries £60 around day to day in their wallet/purse!!

Never before have I waited 20 minutes for 2 portions of chips! The shop was busy and I had to wait my turn behind people having parts of their orders specially cooked. Bizarre, Surely it makes sense to get people out of the shop asap. Chips were OK, regular portion was massive. Asked for loads of salt and vinegar and got very little. I asked for the chips open, they were taped up inside the box and put in a bag. Just no thought, seems like the people working in there were not using their brains, just serving by rote. I don't go to Blofield very often but would not use this chip shop again.

Used this Chipper for years Several years ago the ownership changed and what was a good Chip shop became average however they have improved so much in the last 2 years i would now say that this is easily the best chipper area. lovely batter and generous portions of dry crispy chips that are as good if not better than yarmouth market stalls. We used to go to Roughton for decent fish and chips. Not now they are on our door step :-) oh and the staff are all very friendly

Fantastic chips! Really crispy and a generous portion. Fish was ok a bit thin but nice batter. Cash only is annoying and completely unnecessary.

We have moved into the area and though lets give this a go. 4.35 pm 5 mins after opening time. Large Cod, well there was not much fish on this so called large and a % of this was hard which means that it was re heated, perhaps left from the day before as well as too much batter and in layers which again means this was re-heated. very disappointed and where do they get the 4 star rating. Cash sale only, what does that mean? everywhere else wants their customers to use card. Something not quite right here.

We've made a point of supporting our long established fish and chip shop and they haven't disappointed. In fact, I would say they are better than ever. Last week we had haddock, cod, fish cakes, curried spring rolls and perfect chips. The fish was beautiful. They were also boxed up this time, so made it even nicer. A couple of weeks before that my parents came round for a socially distanced fish and chip dinner in the garden and we had the same except also a plaice and chips. Comments around the table were that they were superb and couldn't remember enjoying fish and chips so much. They've been consistently good on a a Friday night and we're going again very soon. At present I recommend ringing your order through, and yes you may have to wait a bit, but it's better to have them all fresh and delicious. They are also very good value and good sized portions. Highly recommended.

Wish we’d found this place years ago. Huge portions, not greasy. Crispy batter! Lovely staff. Can be busy but never had a long wait even when 8 or more waiting ahead of me. Very efficient. Highly recommend.

This is out local chip shop. The chips are great but despite lots of staff they have not got their system right for preparing orders. Orders are done one at a time and despite being given a 30+ minute time to arrive for our phone order we still waited another 30 minutes and sadly we were missing an item when we got home. Great food but could be so much more efficient on the ordering if preparation processes were looked at.

Been going brundall chippy for awhile and although there slightly cheaper then this chippy, the saying you get what you pay for is true and was worth every penny. Haddock was amazing!!!

A truly great fish & chip business, give your order as you arrive and the fish will be freshly cooked to perfection. Consistently good. A little bit of a wait as generally busy ( which tells you something!!) but worth it.

Having been out all day we decided on a quick fish and chips dinner. Bad choice! The fish was overcooked and dripping with grease. The chips were greasy, soggy and unpleasant. Horrible, worst fish and chips ever.

Un chippie decente! Pero en el lado negativo, tuvo que recorrer una gran distancia para ellos y terminó comiéndolos en el auto, ya que no querían que estuvieran empapados. Mi ex jefe solía hablar sobre este lugar pero al mirar desde afuera nunca me aventuré a entrar. Salí de Yarmouth y decidí darle una oportunidad. Todo fue perfecto. Es una pena para mí el viaje, ya que donde vivo no hay chippies de primera categoría.

Chips were hot and not too pale and greasy. Middle piece of cod was lovely and thick with beautiful big white flakes and the mushy peas were the right consistency. Glad I tried them and will definitely go again.

Visité el viernes a la hora del té un poco ocupado pero solo 10 minutos de espera para que mi abadejo se cocinara. . . Un poco preocupado como algunas críticas negativas. . . Pero no se preocupe, el pescado se cocinó a la perfección. La masa no estaba demasiado espesa. El pescado era espeso firme, carnoso y jugoso. . . no blanda Buena porción de papas fritas y no esta mal. Un par de puntos por los que no califico 5 estrellas. Mi pedido no fue embolsado u ofrecido sal y viniger. . . Mi única queja real fue que me robaron la fuente de curry. . . 1. 75! ! Fue rancio y débil. . Pero no dejes que esto te desanime. . El pescado fue uno de los mejores que he tenido.

Usé esta tienda de pescado y papas fritas varias veces y siempre me ha gustado su comida. Esta vez se superaron a sí mismos. Indudablemente, el mejor bacalao y papas fritas que he tenido en cualquier parte, ¡y me refiero a cualquier parte! Un bacalao grande y uno regular más una gran porción de chips por alrededor de 12 es un valor excelente.

Estas personas deberían avergonzarse de servir comida de esta calidad a este precio.

Todo el personal nos recibió tan pronto como llegamos. Encantadoras chicas que no podrían ser más generosas y comunicativas. El pescado era fresco y perfectamente preparado, podría tenerlo todos los días de la semana. Mi hermana no es muy aficionada al pescado, por lo que quería algo más, ofrecen una amplia gama de alimentos y obtuvo palitos de mozzarella (INCREÍBLEMENTE RECOMIENDA) y una salchicha. También conseguimos salsa de curry y puedo decir que, aunque es más cara, esta fue sin duda la mejor salsa de curry y cuando pregunté sobre ella, la cocinera dijo que lo hizo ella misma, con una receta tan especial. ¡Qué experiencia brillante, definitivamente regresará! ! !

Me han recomendado ir a esta tienda de chips por los vecinos. Es una unidad de 3 millas, así que pensé que debe ser especial.

We were staying a couple of miles away. We were glad we didn't go for the nearest chip shop and came here as recommended in the visitor book. Enormous and delicious.

Have 'bream' to this 'plaice' many times, always had generous servings of delicious freshly cooked fish and chips. We always order on arrival and all is cooked to order. Excellent

Nuestra tienda chip local había desaparecido" en el pan", así que quería probar algún sitio nuevo. Así que me alegro de que decidimos probar aquí - la comida es siempre cocinado así está bien caliente y muy reciente y muy sabrosos. Bien, usted puede tener que esperar un poco para su orden, especialmente en las horas pico porque es una tienda muy popular chip, pero merece la pena. ... excellent, well cooked food; generous portions. We like to share chips as always far too many - recommend Haddock, Plaice & Cod as always fresh & delicious. We end up picking up for half the village - delivering to Mother-out-law, friends & family along the way!

Nice friendly local fish & chip shop. Prices are reasonable with a good choice on the menu. Very busy on the Friday we visited, both locals and tourists. Would use again.

Good fish and chips and friendly enough staff. Only criticism would be that all orders are done first come first served, rather than serve when food is ready which is quicker.

We regularly use this fish and chip shop despite living in Brundall. The quality of the food is usually good or excellent and the welcome is always good. The value for money is good with very large portions of both fish and chips. The shop is welcoming and well organised. Sometime the quality of the food is excellent, and never worse than being good. Definitely worth a visit!!!!

The cod looked huge and fried freshly but a tad overdone for my liking, I needed a bigger plate to put it on!!

If you love fish and chips then this is a must for you.I can honestly say this place serves the best fish and chips I have had in Norwich for many a year. It is so good my father and friend ask to come over for a Saturday beer and serving of cod and chips on a regular basis as they are in agreement this place serves is better fish and chips than the famous Billy's in Sprowston.Give it try, it's worth the drive and they deserve success.

This is a very popular local take away, queue was out of the door the night we were there.Unless you are very hungry no need to buy the larger portions, regular fish and chips are generous sizes.

Excellent fish and chips every time .Well worth a visit if you're in the area. All food is cooked while you wait so it's piping hot and fresh out of the pan. I'd recommend this chippy to anyone.

Very good fish and chips, fresh and all fried on the night, no left over's reused. The smell of fried fish and chips really drags you in.Have mot been there for awhile so hope it's still as good as when I was there

If you live locally you are very luckily, if not than travel for a real treat. The fish is always fresh and the staff are happy to cook to order. The portions never leave you hungry, if you ask for a large cod make sure you have a big plate. I can't wait until the next visit. Well done to all the staff.

The best fish and chips around. The is often a queue and yes you usually have a bit of a wait, but then you get freshly cooked fish and chips - large potions. Lovely!

Food was very good, but their hours are strange, though it's probably due to the needs of the locals.

The haddock is always tasty and very fresh. Very popular, so often quite a queue annoying but a good sign. Service is always pleasant and parking easy.

Totally agree with the other reviewers! You do have to wait, but well worth it. The cod and chips we had were cooked to perfection.

We visited here on 16 October at around 7pm and ordered 3 x battered sausages, a fish cake and a portion of chips.The food was very nice, still hot enough to eat she we got home. The chips were the nicest I've had from a chippie for a long time and I did enjoy the fish cake. The portion of regular chips was more than enough for 2 of us to share.One thing I would say is that there is no urgency to serve you and get orders out. It appears that each order is put together one at a time in the order you have been served - rather than dishing up the already cooked food to lessen peoples waiting time and the number of people waiting inside. Luckily there are seats to wait on as well as newspapers and carrier bags are free to take to put your wrapped meals in. There is also limited parking outside and i usually park on the road. The food is reasonably priced too.So whilst there seems no hurry to serve you the food is nice and worth the wait.

They provide the tastiest fish and chips I have had in a very long time. You do wait, but as I said it is well worth it, great value for money, huge portions, well prepared and friendly staff. We live local but would travel in to buy this.
