First day in London walking from our hotel near by come up this floating barge restaurant did a review in tripadvisor and the 4 of us decided to give it a try. Service was good professional staff, pricy for amount for the price you pay. Only issue was. My buddy and I love fish and chips. This is the first time we had fish and chips served with the skin on in the batter. Really turned us off, one the taste and second the look. The ladies enjoyed their supper. To bad for us, we have never heard of skin on in fish and chips ?? Other wise ok dinning. Will not return when back in the area.

OMG I thought I had died and gone to heaven! The choice, the staff, the flavours, the service - just all superb. We opted to have several starters because we couldn't make up our minds - and we didnt regret it. Everything - anchovies, salmon, Grey Mullet, Diver Scallops and the Squid - was delicious. The service was brilliant and the Margaritas were to die for. It was the best meal of our weekend

Located on a barge moored off the side of the Paddington basin with a lovely interior. Amazing offer of happy hour oysters at £2 per oyster from 4-6. Had an early dinner at 5pm with a dozen oysters . Tasted absolutely amazing and with service charge came up to £28. It came with a green and red Tabasco sauce on the side. It was very fresh, more medium sized oysters. Service was average- the waiter sighed when I asked for 6 oysters but no alcohol- not exactly the most welcoming approach to customers order.

Let’s start with a positives. The location is really great and a friendly waitress ushered us to a table at the back end if the Duchess Now on to the more negative I ordered the linguine special that came with a glass of white wine. That should have been linguine special with a eggcup of white wine; there was hardly enough to wet the glass. Tasted OK, which is more than that can be said for the linguine special. This was extraordinarily salty and fatty and I gave up close to the end and left the last bits of food drowning in salty oil. Thankfully the portion was really small My friend ordered the fish chips and peas for £19 and he said it was not up to much and questioned whether he actually did manage to taste fish amongst a great thick covering of crispy fatty batter. And then to add insult to injury they added £6 extra for a beer that we hadn’t had. We were glad to leave and get back on land.

This spot is great for a chilled night out with friends or family. The food was great- myself & my dining companion tried almost everything on the menu, including the Caviar, whelks, scallops, taramasalata, and the trout & sea bream… all delicious! My favourite were either the whelks (so fresh) or the taramasalata- unlike most shop bought ones, it tasted REALLY fishy which I loved. The service from the staff is what makes this place phenomenal though. They were so bubbly and friendly with everyone- I only got the name of Dani(?) but everyone on the team were great. The openness of the kitchen was a great touch too, and the chefs seemed so professional, knowledgeable & calm. They worked together seamlessly. This place certainly has excellent value and is so high quality. Loved our visit.

Had a booking for over a month at the grand duchess to celebrate my partners birthday. After arriving 10 minutes late due to issues with the London Underground they gave away our table (after we tried calling on the walk to the restaurant). We sat outside for 15 minutes or so and ordered drinks whilst they prepared another table. They were very apologetic and friendly and offered us a small complimentary side of “angel fries” but it definitely put a dampener on start of the evening. The food was delicious, but particularly overpriced in terms of portion sizes and actual fish. Service after we were seated was very efficient and they definitely worked hard to catch us up. A bit disappointed with how it all turned out to be honest. We thought a complimentary drink would’ve been more appropriate, but that’s just preference. I don’t normally write reviews or complain but I wouldn’t recommend due to our own experience.

Delicious food. A birthday treat for me and my wife. We spent the weekend in Paddington Basin and I booked The Grand Duchess in advance. The table wasn’t ready when we arrived so we were offered a glass of champagne which was a lovely touch and much appreciated! We were happy to sit in the sun with this for a bit! Food was delicious, service was fine but not perfect. Firstly I ordered crab claws but was not given the implement to eat them. I was told they had run out as everyone had ordered the claws. I would expect a restaurant to have enough implements for everyone to order the same dish. The lady next door to me had had the claws and had finished. Had they cleared her table they could have given me her utensil. Just a little thing but easy for the restaurant to rectify. Secondly at the end of the meal the (very well meaning waitress) asked us about our weekend away. We explained what we had been doing and she made numerous comments about how much she likes seeing a pair of friends out together, the benefits of female friendships, how she loves her time with her female friends and how generous a friend I was. We are a married couple. We did not correct her, and I appreciate we could have done, but I would expect people in 2023 to not make make assumptions such as these. Food was great, just a couple of things they could work on to make it perfect!

Best Seafood I've had in London, all the dishes were amazing and all super fresh, better than you can get by the seaside for sure! The setting is such a unique concept too, sitting on the canal with swans floating past is idyllic and feels like a complete break from the hustle and bustle of London. They do a great oyster happy hour from 4-6 and with the green tabasco the waitress recommended was something I hadn't tried before but would fully recommend to anyone! Such an extensive wine list too but so many great choice we had to take a recommendation from the waitress and were so glad we did with a bottle her favourite the Condrieu. Will be back asap and telling all my friends about it too!

El restaurante ahora se llama espadines y fue una experiencia tremenda. Definitivamente regresaremos. Mi marido tenía un negroni; y bebí picpoul. No hay una carta de vinos, solo una pequeña selección

Second time in this lovely restaurant. Of course started with some nice local oysters. Then a starter with red shrimp. Then a mussel risotto. All cooked to perfection with a rich pallet of flavours.

Ok poke place, but they don’t accept cash and the food was average. Small but clean interior. The poke was nothing special
