The best seafood meal I've.eaten in the UK for years. Maria was brilliant 👏

On Saturday night we waited ages for a table as was busy. The waitress was very helpful but the haddock we received was very poor quality. It seemed it was full of water and tasteless I e mailed trenchers but still awaiting a reply. It seemed the haddock was frozen at sea and not fresh as promised by the waitress. Frozen at sea fish is used often used.

This chip shop is a little gem. Family run and extremely clean. Had my usual of fishcake (in bread crumbs) chips and mushy peas. Piping hot and very tasty.

Terry's Fish Bar – Bank Holiday Visit (5th May) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (8/10) My wife and I visited Terry's Fish Bar today, Bank Holiday Monday (5th May), around 12:30pm. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and told there would be around a 20 minute wait for a table. We were shown to a small seating area, and ended up being seated in just 10 minutes. Our table was clean and comfortable, and we were given time to look over the menu. After about 10 minutes, our order was taken: we both chose the Regular Cod and Chips, added mushy peas, and a Yorkshire tea each. The food came out quickly, within 15 minutes and was beautifully presented. The cod was coated in a thin, crispy batter and tasted fantastic. The chips were exactly what you'd want from a proper chip shop , As for the mushy peas, they were a bit too smooth for my taste, but my wife enjoyed hers so a matter of preference. The tea came in teapots with extra water, which we appreciated. It was hot, flavourful, and rounded off the meal nicely. The only small downside was the pace , our plates were taken away just as we’d put our cutlery down, which made us feel a little rushed. That said, it was clearly a busy Bank Holiday, so it’s understandable. Overall, a very positive experience solid 8/10 from us. Friendly staff, great food, and we'd definitely recommend a visit. Was down yesterday with family and had 3 meals which were great and service was was fast even though it was busy

Called in today for a cake butty. Freshly made . Really nice cake butty , proper fish in it ( not mush). Lovely soft fresh teacake. Nice friendly staff . Highly recommended.

Ordered food online, took my money. Time for delivery came and went. I went to the takeaway......closed. checked bank statements, money gone. Mmmmmm, great chippy if you want to loose weight, you dont get the food but you certainly pay for it.

Went for tea tonight ordered fish and chips with bits and salt/vinegar no bits or vinegar and for nearly a tenner fish was like a kids meal, curry sauce was watery and flavourless, ordered chip butty hardly anything there usually travel to Wakefield but couldnt be bothered tonight and regretted it disgusting food wont be going again

Been here before and had a lovely meal. What a different experience! Waited for takeaway, nice sunny day. What rude, ignorant staff. Swearing in the kitchen, arguing amongst themselves on the bar, completely unprofessional. Guy was swearing and speaking down to staff and customers. We felt so unwelcome we decided to leave. There is no excuse for rude staff…. Such a disappointment

It's a shame about the original Bob Carver's. It just needs doing up exactly like it. Then reopening again. But the patties from the other one are lovely. Batter and breaded.

I went here with my partner. The place wasn't busy but we waited over an hour for our food. When it arrived it wasn't hot but if it had been it may have been tasty. Outside of the waiting the service was good with polite and embarrassed servers apologising for the protracted wait. We won't be returning.
