Really nice pub food, great selection of drinks, especially the beer range. Can get very busy and noisy though at times. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Best place to get rid of your hangover before you get on a train to Hull. So long as you can endure the shouting baboons on the next table and the fact the kitchen has no tomato for your avocado on toast you'll be fine.

Had a great night in the Griffin the other day, was served by a young lad called Joe who was very nice.

Bit slow on the service but I think that was just bad luck upon arrival. Decent range of beers, lots of nice seating areas.

Not much atmosphere but quite a few people in the pub Lots of TV screens if that is your thing Prices £12:40 for an GK IPA and a white wine (small) was a bit steep I thought More like London prices Staff were speaking to kitchen on their head set and each other while serving so little customer feedback Didn’t try the food so no rating given Hence just an okay rating. There’s plenty of competition with more atmosphere and keener prices

Had an amazing time at the Griffin, atmosphere was unreal, but the true star of the show was Brandon. From the moment we walked in he was friendly and welcoming: and he gave me perfect head with my pint, greatest pour I’ve ever seen. Will definitely be coming again

Went in on a busy Leeds game, service was superb. A young lad working in the other bar (not the main room bar) let us stay at our table until he finished cleaning the room in the evening, then we had to move to the main pub area. Food decent, Katsu burger very nice, drinks are a bit expensive but that's Leeds city centre now.

The Sunday lunch leaves much to be desired in my opinion, i would rather have a cheap microwave one than that again.

We ordered the roast 6 people.. 2 roast half chicken. On the menu with mash & stuffing. None on the plate. Had to order a roast beef dinner without the beef as they didn't understand a plate of potatoes & veg for a vegetarian. Veg came out cold had to send it back.But charged me for a beef dinner. Veg (cabbage & carrots) where under cooked. Yorshire puddings were over cooked.

The team here are super helpful, the renovations are absolutely stunning, and it’s just a fantastic atmosphere. 10/10

Yeah sound like. Great pub what more is there to say. Maybe you gravitate towards rubbish pubs and that’s your bag but this one is sound as a pound

Went here for a few drinks on a Saturday night with a group of friends. Really nice vibe as they had live music playing. I felt very safe and comfortable due to the presence of the two doormen who were very polite and held open the doors for us. Lovely vast selection of drinks on draught and premium liquors.

Rough and ready before footy. This was posted 7 years ago , I'm told by friends that it's turned into a decent pub/bar serving quality food and a great atmosphere, so I'll be popping in before the match for a few beers.

staff friendly and food was tasty. enjoyed a tasty pie and chips with gravy. plus blue light card discount. screens showing sport, close to Leeds station, big pub, quite on a Tuesday.

Great city centre pub. Lovely friendly staff. Good wine list. Food - the pie and mash were great. The garden peas were absolutely revolting. I think the chef needs to learn how to cook peas. They were inedible.

Great welcoming bar. The manager did an amazing job dealing with not one but two unruly customers sensibly and calmly. Very impressive.

We booked the Griffin last minute for our Christmas party as we had been let down by Katie O'Briens on Greek Street. We booked one of their private hire areas on a busy Saturday night in December. Despite this they were attentive to our party at all times, responding quickly to requests such as turning on the air conditioning. They sent servers round with a card machine so we didn't have to queue at the bar. We order the gold package buffet and every aspect of it was delicious and there was plenty of food for all. Brilliant night and service. Thanks all at the Griffin.

Jamie was awesome .. looked after us completely. Nothing was too much and he made sure we had a fab evening. Will definitely be back.

Turkey and ham pie was delicious. The staff helpful and pub very clean. Came back later in the day fr a drink when it was very busy. Staff still very attentive.

We had our work Xmas do here, all of the staff were fab but special mention has to go to Jamie who was so friendly and a great representative for the pub!

Just had our Christmas Meal, 24 booked in, the venue and atmosphere was excellent, the staff were professional, helpful and friendly, both food and service was good. Everyone commented on how enjoyable the staff had made the meal.

Went here for breakfast on a trip to Leeds. We had the full breakfast which was delicious, but far too much, should of ordered one between us and kept the cost down as was pricey.

Superb Sunday lunch, and the cherry amaretto semifreddo was delicious. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Will be back here again!

Rubbish avoid like the plague! Visit during a Christmas shopping trip and waited 2 hours for food. With no warning about long wait. Very frustrating will definitely not be revisiting and will be advertising anyone else not to either.

Nice pub near the city centre. Clean and nice decor. Food is OK, usual Greene King. Staff were excellent. Was less busy than a nearby competitor.

The Customer service was very good and the atmosphere was very nice with very nice decorations but the only thing that wasn’t as good was the food as it was cold and not have the full ingredients but I still enjoyed it . Would come again though as I think it was because it was quite busy .

Order drinks Larger Alcohol Free Cider, guy did not listen gave me one with Alcohol in, 2 x Steak Sandwiches came on White Sliced bread, last time was baguette brown or white, steak was very nice shame about the bread.

Visited on the opening evening of the Griffin / Green King. Lovely service from both staff outside and inside the venue. The staff where very welcoming, particularly Lizzie who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Would fully recommend!

This pub was a life saver yesterday, we had a wonderful time there. The staff were warm and friendly just like Yorkshire people are it was just lovely. Bouncers on the door were helpful opening the doors for me as I walk with the aid of rolling walking frame. Didn't score the food as I didn't order any but the wonderful smell from the table at the side of me would have got me to take a look at the menu.

Went for the reopening after the refurbishment 1/11/24 Lovely staff and service, especially the young lad Jamie, always smiling and really friendly. Will definitely be returning

Saturday 28th Sept 5pm, as usual the Bankers Cat was rammed, so busy that we thought we'd give The Griffin a try next door. Plenty of space, took the table nearest the door, it was full of glasses & bottles that stayed there way too long considering it wasn't too busy. Picked up a menu, when I'd unglued my fingers from it we decided not to eat, I went to the toilets to wash my hands. OMG! trash and toilet a paper everywhere and what I hoped was a large pool of water on the floor....on the way out back to the bar I noticed how bad the maintenance is, stains and chips everywhere, just dirty. I know it's chain but somebody has to care? It makes the General Elliot or The Three Legs feel like Ibiza lounge bars,

One of the typical pubs where you can't go wrong. It has all the standard drinks you can request, fine atmosphere and best of all the food is good! I come over to this pub for a meal. Every time I've ordered food I have never been disappointed. I have added some photos of my order and can say I can recommend it after 10+ visits!

I paid £4.40 for a coke which was filled to the brim with ice. I was told that is how management instructs them to pour them - at least 3/4 of ice. I won't be back to Greene King now I know this. Better value to not be sober.

I went to the griffin on Saturday evening and they have great food I got the karaage which was amazing and the music is always flowing and 100% recommend if your in Leeds city centre

Staff were lovely, food was a little bit more expensive than local places, but was tasty. The soft drinks are extortionate. How can you justify nearly £6 for lemonade and blackcurrant? When wetherspoons are over £4 cheaper for a soft drink. That is theft clear and simple.

Fabulous pub. Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff, especially charming Sam. They show football games. Will be back.
