Heard really good things about this place but it's honestly the worse fish and chips I've ever had. Cash only too so have to goto shop across road and pay £1.99. Lady on till friendly though

Beautiful food. The whole family really enjoyed this. Kebabs are outstanding as are the fish and chips and not forgetting the onion rings of which ive never seen in any other chip shop like these! You won't be disappointed!!Will definitely make this our go to chippy from now on. Very friendly staff too and prices are brilliant x

Partner collected, chicken kebab was slimey, fatty, garlic sauce wasn't very pleasant, only good thing I can say was the salad was fresh....Will not be going back there again...I would advice the reader not to waste their money and go elsewhere...

always used to go here but haven't for a while, went the other day and was very disappointed. The fish was stale and have that ammonia taste to it, won't be going back.

Bought our tea here as It was recommended to me. Was told their chicken kebabs were awesome. Wasnt impressed and very expensive.£21.50 for 2 chicken kebabs 1 portion of chips and chill and garlic sauce. The chicken wasn't plain chicken it was coated in something red which didnt taste very nice. The chips were lovely. I wont be recommending the kebabs and I wont be returning.

I can honestly say I've never eaten fish & chips as bad as that. If that was my first experience of fish & chips I'd never have it again. Place wants shutting down.

Made an order for collection and when I went to collect it I requested the bag what they charge you for as standard on the app and the woman screwed her face up at me? Like I was in the wrong for requesting something what I paid for defo won’t be going back again 😎food ain’t all that and portions are small

Great tasty food, can't fault it, the only issue is that it's cash only, not really convenient, especially since COVID, I don't carry cash anymore due to money being dirty.

It was our first time here due to a recent move. Good size portions, reasonable prices and the tastiest fish and chips I've had for a while. Didn't leave that greasy taste afterwards. Friendly lady served us. Will definitely be back.

Consistently excellent, freshly cooked to order therefore there can be a wait but its well worth it. Excellent range of products, traditional "chippy" stuff along with burgers, kebabs, good vegetarian options (if that's what you like) even fried halloumi! Extremely friendly and very fairly priced. Highly recommended!

This was A terrible experience for me, He takes cash only!!! had no cash on me, so he said i can do it online, went to the app put the order in the post code didn't work, had to search for the chippy, got all that done then at the end it wanted me to register with the website so they can spam me with emails. I ended up telling him to forget it. went into Harry's on frod road. so i never had any Fish & chips and handling cash in Covid days really!!!! not good.

I never review things but had to on this occasion. I called for a chicken kebab & asked for salad to be kept separate (so I could microwave the kebab later). Apparently "it has to be on the kebab" .... or I could buy one without salad on it & buy a separate salad ! WHAT !?!? For some reason I didn't walk out there & then. Bought it regardless, more fool me. If you like your chicken to look radioactive (scarlet food colouring, what's that hiding ??) & taste purely of SALT, you'll love it. Even the chilli sauce tasted of salt ! Took two mouthfuls & the lot went in the bin. UTTER RUBBISH ! Never again, shame I couldn't leave a zero star rating.

Thick, rubbery, greasy and chewy kebab, was lovely the first time I went which was before it was refurbished. Rang and spoke to the manager and all he said was I’ve sold x2 15kg kebabs and no-one has complained, perhaps your taste buds have changed! Didn’t even offer something else! Quite rude!

So we thought this week our takeaway should be chippy, of to Excel on Roland Road in Scunthorpe, they have just had major re fit and boy they did a good jpb, but the food is now expencive compared to other local options, but you pay for what you get, which seems to be not a lot, chips and potatoe scallops for me and large sausage and chips for the gaffa £7.65, both meals were very greasy, scallops were puddled Grease, but it doesnt stop their, the gentleman serving misunderstood me and prepared a piece of fish for frying, on me telling him he had made a mistake he swiftlt washed the fish from all coatings in the hand wash sink and then returned it back to the other fish in the fridge, ok you think fair cop, but im allergic to fish and as such will only eat chips, they are playing Russian roulette with heath and hygiene, especially mine.

I ordered a bag of chips and when I got them home, they were raw. They were very pale and then I bit a chip and to my surprise, found a hair in it. I am appalled.

Its a great place if you want a fresh fish and chips with great service and environment. Prices are reasonable. Overall, excellent place. Since new ownership theres been change and extension in menu with great new deals.

Large tasty portions, ordered a large cod plus chips and the fish was huge. I had a salad pitta which was absolutely full of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and red cabbage. I would highly recommend this.

The shop has been taken over by new owners and the food and service is fantastic. The sauces are all home made and fresh. The chips are very tasty and the fish is beautiful. The premises was also very clean! I am a fussy eater and the service and fish and chips received was fantastic!! Definitely will go again.

Without a doubt one of, if not the best chip shops in Scunthorpe from fish and chips to kebabs. The food is always fresh, cooked to order if needs be in front of you, you can place orders in advance also. As for the cleanliness it's proberbly cleaner than most hospitals when you walk in the shop you can tell straight away they take pride in the cleaning and the staff are super friendly the only downside is they don't give you enough scraps!
