The food was excellent quality and tasted very fresh but what really stood out to me, was how well the workers handled a busy rush. The place got packed while I was there, but the staff stayed calm, organized, and professional the whole time. Orders kept coming out quickly, and everyone was still friendly and polite, even under pressure. You could tell they worked really well as a team and knew exactly what they were doing.

This is my local fish and chippy and I'm quite pleased that I don't have to travel for a good one. On my doorstep and I love the food here. The tikka chicken and chips is a guilty pleasure and I'm always a satisfied customer when it comes to the comfort of fish and chips. The queues speak for themselves and as an ex Londoner, the prices are reasonable. Speedy, effective staff who get the job done. Thanks for your lovely business. 😍

I went into my local chip shop and ordered some food . I had not been there for a while as the chips were not very nice but decided to give it another go . My order was incorrect and I repeated the order to the gent behind the till .The gent / tall man behind the counter become very aggressive shouting and ranting at me telling me he would serve me this time but I would be banned from the shop in future . I told him he had a very bad attitude towards the customers and very bad customer service and then asked for my money back .I also asked why I would be banned? Considering he had got my order incorrectly ,but With no avail .I spoke to the owners wife to tell her about the incident across the road but she stuck up for her husband who said he heard the conversation .The funny thing is he wasn’t in the shop at the time and was on a delivery, so this was a complete lie. I will never go to this shop again or use the corner shop which they own as they also keep overcharging you so watch you coins . This has happened numerous times . I think the man in this shop needs a drug test as he seems like he was on something or dislikes certain people (women) . I have lived here 30 years and never felt so insulted . The previous owners were lovely and very respectful it’s a shame this has gone down hill. I have spoken to other people around the area and they have said this has happened to them too .

Ordered naan breads from here during Ramadan. The naan were burnt from the top and edges were so thick there was raw dough around it. We were promised replacements “next time “ we ordered but when the next time came, the manager claimed it was impossible such a thing could have been offered. I won’t be arguing with an employee for a small order of naan. The “manager” Shahzeb is obnoxious and has no courtesy how to speak to customers. If you cannot expect a business to honour their words, says enough about their standards. Definitely not using any service from here again. Hope this review prompts some improvements.

Let’s start at the beginning. This open-air bar does not have one of the great views our planet has to offer. It does not peer over Paris, skim the skyline of Manhattan, or loom above a turquoise archipelago like some Bond villain’s lair-slash-infinity pool in the Maldives. It does not twinkle with the lights of Tokyo or frame a sunset over the Serengeti. No, this bar overlooks Birmingham. Not the quaint, canal-threaded, Cadbury-scented bits of Brum that brochures trot out when they’re trying to pass it off as a sort of midlands Milan. No. The view from the 1565 Bar and Terrace is resolutely, defiantly, unmistakably Birmingham. Concrete and cranes. A hint of the Bullring. Maybe the ghost of Ozzy Osbourne drifting past in vape mist. But here’s the thing. It doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what it is. And what it is, is a really quite nice bar. Perched on the 4th floor of the Regis Hotel (yes, I know, 4th floor – not exactly the penthouse, but it’ll do), this place is a sort of plush purgatory between corporate necessity and genuine charm. The inside bar is vast, blanketed in those big, wipe-clean tables that scream “expense account lunch” and upholstered chairs engineered for half-hour Zoom calls with Zurich. You know the sort of place. Businessmen doing business stuff. Lots of laptop tapping and murmured acronyms. But then you get to the staff – and here comes the twist in the tale. They’re… nice. Not in the robotic, smile-trained, please-fill-out-our-feedback-survey way of most hotel bars. No, they’re actually friendly. Efficient. Human. They care whether your martini is shaken properly or if your wine is cold enough not to induce rage. And that, in a hotel bar, is rarer than a Birmingham skyline without scaffolding. And the real kicker – the outside terrace. It catches the sun, you see. Not for a fleeting moment, not a single apologetic shaft of warmth that vanishes behind cloud like a hungover intern. But properly catches it. Long enough for a G&T, maybe two. It’s big, it’s breezy, and if you squint – no, not quite – but almost, you could be in a different city. One with better PR. But who needs Santorini when you’ve got this? Solid drinks. Warm service. A rooftop that doesn’t take itself too seriously. And a view that, while not beautiful, is at least honest. Which, frankly, makes a nice change. Go on. Raise a glass to Birmingham. Stranger things have happened.
