Saturday 9th November ago had Cod and Chips, hot and tasty. Today 13th November had battered sausage and chips. Chips Great. Sausage was rather tasteless and better was flat. Like batter to be crisp, today’s was flat and chewy. Disappointing….

Great little gem thats family run. I have been a few times and the staff have always been super friendly. The chips are probably the best around, the fish always tastes super fresh and any other side I've had have always been spot on. Now my go-to chippy. 😊😊👌👌

I drove past one fish bar locally and it was empty this one had a queue of 6 waiting, and for good reason. I joined the queue and got cod and chips within 5 mins( four staff). They deserve credit because it was good quality fish and I had so many chips I couldn't eat them all.

The owner is such a gentleman in this place. Other staff very pleasant too. Food is very nice hence why it's my favorite place in the town for a takeaway. They deserve good business as they are good people.

Recommended by family member who has been many times before. We took a ride out from Dartford to Eastbourne and stopped off here to see for ourselves what the fish was like. We knew it was cash only so not a problem. We arrived when it opened at midday and placed our order and it was cooked to order and brought to our table. The entire meal served on a warm plate and food nice and hot too and served directly from the fryer. We had the cod which was cooked to perfection, with light crispy batter and flakes of white fish (no grey in sight like some other fish we have had elsewhere). Chips so nice, proper chip shop chips and all washed down with a nice cup of strong tea. If you’re in the area or out for a drive as we were, then definitely pay this place a visit. Nice warm and friendly welcome is waiting for you and some smashing fish and chips.

We had cod and chips on a weeknight. Ordered in their website for collection. They charged extra for ordering directly on their website compared to In the shop. Waited ages. The chips were pale and unappetising. The fish was disgusting. The batter has a strange flexible texture, not crispy. It had soaked up a serious amount of oil. It was orangey colour. Don't risk going. Head to one of the fish and chip shops on Uckfield high street.
