Visited on a rainy evening in Sept after a quick drink in the Tiger Inn. I must say the food quality was excellent and clearly all freshly cooked. With a bottle of Chilean Sauvignon the bill came to £97 for two of us. Not the cheapest but certainly the best !!

It was our first visit here. The food was delicious and service very good. A lovely location. We will definitely return.

Having tried a few Thai restaurants in Eastbourne, it’s fair to say that this is the best one! I frequently get a takeaway from here and I always come home with it piping hot and delicious, and they even accommodate my extra satay sauce. My husband and I decided to eat in for a treat and we couldn’t fault it. We had the prawn crackers, chicken satay and vegetable spring rolls to start. Plenty of satay sauce, hot and delicious. For the mains we shared a beef pad Thai, king prawns in oyster sauce and coconut rice. It was lovely! Service is great, the staff are so friendly and always welcoming. The food was fantastic as always. 100/10 from us!

Thai Terre East Dean is a truly special restaurant. The food is superb. The staff are very polite and friendly. The location is wonderful. Our views over the green and to the beautiful Downs are unsurpassed

Food was excellent however we found it pricey, which wasn’t helped by the fact that they added items to the bill we hadn’t ordered. We didn’t realise until we got home but they were quick to rectify the mistake when I called the next day and were very apologetic. I’d go again, but as portions are big I’d skip the starter or share a main course next time.

As always great food and service. On this occasion it was missing a bit of its usual ambience possibly because the phone line was broken and it may have been difficult to make reservations. Shame but nevertheless a smashing meal.

This was the first place my partner and I had our first date. We visit as often as we can because it’s always perfect! The staff are so so lovely, they make the experience better. The food is always incredible. It’s just perfect. We recommend everyone to visit you, all our friends. We’ve even taken family here multiple times to share the incredible experience. My partner and I traveled Thailand for 5 months, and the food here is even better than the food in Thailand. Because the ingredients used are high quality in comparison to Thailand.

Just two of us for the meal. The service was great, as was the quality of the food. Great atmosphere in the restaurant as we were upstairs away from people coming in and out. Food was reasonably priced, but the wine was a little expensive. We would certainly visit the restaurant again and sing its praises to out friends.

The restaurant is tucked away with some local parking. The food and service were outstanding, with some very tasty chef specials and good-sized portions. All 4 of our party thought the meal was far better value than many higher-priced places. Will definitely be going back.

Whilst staying at Belle Tout Lighthouse, last weekend, in Eastbourne, this hotel was recommended to us. We made a booking for last Friday night and were not disappointed. The service was great and the food excellent. There was street parking right outside and it was a very enjoyable evening. We would highly rec6this restaurant.

Thoroughly recommend - excellent food and service

Staff very welcoming, food delicious and good size portions. Time interval between courses ideal. Rooms quite small, could hear everyones’ conversations, could have been embarrassing, but in our case was mildly entertaining.

We had a lovely meal, everything was delicious. The staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. Nice ambience, very tastefully decorated and the restaurant was in a lovely spot. We all had a great time.

We were hoping for a typical Thai food experience but instead we had food from Iceland. Honestly if we bought a Chinese takeaway selection from Tesco’s we wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference. The food was mainly prepackaged. We were given hot plates but because the service was so slow they replaced the plates which got cold again. Over priced for the quality. Phenomenal setting wasted on such poor food.

Staff lovely, food great ,ambiance not so.Don’t be seated upstairs,it was desperately quite with just two others couples dining you could hear a pin drop, it made it very uncomfortable to have a conversation.

Food is fantastic, had multiple different dishes now, all of them have tasted brilliant (except for the ice cream pot for pudding, taste like it had been in the freezer for a while). The building is quite small and can be quite noisy at times with doors banging at times etc.. I would also say it's maybe a little on the higher side of the pricing graph, but then most thing's are expensive now. I would recommend eating here.

Such kindest from the restaurant owner in helping us when our little dog was taken ill . Thanks to her help we were able to sort the little Nina out and she is now making a good recovery. Again we are very grateful for the help.

Ordered takeaway and collected. Very suprised by theexpensive prices as 4 items came to nearly £70. The portions were quite small and the mixed starters looked as if they came from a party box at Iceland.

We pitched up without a booking on a Saturday, but they managed to fit us in. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered seabass, which came without the mushrooms, none at the market, so it was just a plate of fish, no veg! It would have been nice if I had been asked if I would like an alternative. It was tasty seabass.

This is a great Thai restaurant in a unique setting. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Having worked in Thailand I can say that the flavours were excellent. Two especially good dishes were the fish cakes starter and the green monkfish curry.

It was ok but not as expected from reading other people's reviews, so sorry to say that as the service was actually great and quick. I went there out of curiosity as i enjoy occasional home made thai food at home but this was not of the tastiest or of good quality as i was aiming for, at least for the price i have paid for of £71 for 2 people. The spare pork ribs were of low quality, the rounded ones, all bone and a bit of meat around it, i am not sure where you can get those type of ribs from, as i have checked online for these but couldnt find them, perhpas they are specially made for wholesale or asian restaurants? the ones i am accustomed to are normally juicy, the ribs are FLAT and tender. These were with a long and round bone and the cooked meat was quite dry. I have come accross the same type of spare ribs in a couple of differetn chinese restaurants before, not sure if a coincidence? We then had a main of slow cooked chicken in yellow curry and a steak with tamarind sauce and cauliflowers. The chicken was okey, but the steak was a bit overcooked and covered with lot of coriander which i dont like and i felt there was some grated parmesan at the top? Anyway i was expecting something more on the grilled side, but of course i might have not read the menu properly. We had a beer each and a coffe macchiato to finish amd once again it was our mistake for not reading the menu as the macchiato has the same price as for the cappucino.... £3.50 I would say my review is solely based on the 2 meals we had which might have ben the wrong choice that day as i am reading so many good reviews here and i am wondering what we ordered wrong? Anyway, 10 stars for the staff and the place very clean!

What was called ‘crispy duck leg’ was basically inedible. The rest of the meal was ok but it’s nothing like the destination restaurant it used to be.

The food was fantastic. Even my kids, who are picky eaters, loved the food. The ambience could be better, though. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Food, setting and most of the service was top notch. This fell down though when it came to the end of our meal. Table booked for 2pm for 4 of us. Speed of service usual - no long gaps but nice and steady. At 3.30 she offered us coffees/ sweet menu etc then said ‘actually we closed at 2.45’. So, respecting this we just asked for the bill. I am not convinced they should have accepted a 2pm booking if they closed at 2.45! The meal etc was great, the ending was awkward and marred it all somewhat.

Fantastic evening - staff were simply delightful, food was excellent, wine list was good and the service was brilliant. Thank you in particular for making my wife's birthday extra special. I have been to many Thai restaurants all over the world, this one is right up there for the quality and taste of the food. In particular, the prawn and crab dim sum starters are exquisite. I would return in a heartbeat.

We were here on a short break. We’re big fans of Thai food and I think this is the best we’ve had in a long time - we had the green curry and pad Thai. Both were really tasty and aromatic - and not too spicy, with excellent texture.

Really enjoyed our meal; not noisy as we had picked an evening when England football was on TV. A small intimate venue. Gluten free options for Coeliacs like myself. Very pleasant staff.
