Food is fantastic, had multiple different dishes now, all of them have tasted brilliant (except for the ice cream pot for pudding, taste like it had been in the freezer for a while). The building is quite small and can be quite noisy at times with doors banging at times etc.. I would also say it's maybe a little on the higher side of the pricing graph, but then most thing's are expensive now. I would recommend eating here.

Such kindest from the restaurant owner in helping us when our little dog was taken ill . Thanks to her help we were able to sort the little Nina out and she is now making a good recovery. Again we are very grateful for the help.

Ordered takeaway and collected. Very suprised by theexpensive prices as 4 items came to nearly £70. The portions were quite small and the mixed starters looked as if they came from a party box at Iceland.

I first visited in June & after was sent a voucher for a free bottle of wine on the next visit. I visited again last night only to be told they wouldn’t accept the voucher! I was only given it 2 weeks ago & it clearly says valid for 1 month! Spent £119 and still refused the voucher. Surely this is false advertising luring in customers with vouchers then declining them. I have sent two emails to complain - no response so far!

We pitched up without a booking on a Saturday, but they managed to fit us in. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered seabass, which came without the mushrooms, none at the market, so it was just a plate of fish, no veg! It would have been nice if I had been asked if I would like an alternative. It was tasty seabass.

It was ok but not as expected from reading other people's reviews, so sorry to say that as the service was actually great and quick. I went there out of curiosity as i enjoy occasional home made thai food at home but this was not of the tastiest or of good quality as i was aiming for, at least for the price i have paid for of £71 for 2 people. The spare pork ribs were of low quality, the rounded ones, all bone and a bit of meat around it, i am not sure where you can get those type of ribs from, as i have checked online for these but couldnt find them, perhpas they are specially made for wholesale or asian restaurants? the ones i am accustomed to are normally juicy, the ribs are FLAT and tender. These were with a long and round bone and the cooked meat was quite dry. I have come accross the same type of spare ribs in a couple of differetn chinese restaurants before, not sure if a coincidence? We then had a main of slow cooked chicken in yellow curry and a steak with tamarind sauce and cauliflowers. The chicken was okey, but the steak was a bit overcooked and covered with lot of coriander which i dont like and i felt there was some grated parmesan at the top? Anyway i was expecting something more on the grilled side, but of course i might have not read the menu properly. We had a beer each and a coffe macchiato to finish amd once again it was our mistake for not reading the menu as the macchiato has the same price as for the cappucino.... £3.50 I would say my review is solely based on the 2 meals we had which might have ben the wrong choice that day as i am reading so many good reviews here and i am wondering what we ordered wrong? Anyway, 10 stars for the staff and the place very clean!

Good set lunch menu, reasonably priced at £14.95 for two courses. Spring rolls for starter were heartily sized and tasty. Tempura vegetables likewise. Main courses, pad thai king prawns were lovely and properly cooked. Sweet and sour chicken an odd inclusion for a thai restaurant but very tasty and recommended. Green thai curry was great tasting but minuscule in size and therefore disappointing. All meals and courses beautifully presented. Service OK, a little inattentive, had to repeatedly chase, but when present were friendly and engaging.

What was called ‘crispy duck leg’ was basically inedible. The rest of the meal was ok but it’s nothing like the destination restaurant it used to be.

We were here on a short break. We’re big fans of Thai food and I think this is the best we’ve had in a long time - we had the green curry and pad Thai. Both were really tasty and aromatic - and not too spicy, with excellent texture.

My husband and I went for lunch to the restaurant for my birthday. We have been before with another couple, some time ago and we loved it. This time, we felt the service wasn't up to scratch, given the prices they charge and asked for the 10% service charge to be removed. The reasons are as follows: 1) rather than being led to our table, the young waitress just pointed and said "you're in there" 2) our cutlery was just dropped onto the table, not put down gently 3) the table next to us (3 people) - the waitress cleared their plates whilst one lady was still eating 4) then brought their mains, whilst the lady was still eating - we commented on this and they agreed it wasn't professional. 4) my husband's Thai green curry was obviously not made fresh. The sauce with the veg in it was tasty but they had just added cooked chicken to the sauce, so it was tasteless and for the price he was disappointed. 5) when we got the bill for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 small lager and a coke, it was £88 including the 10%, so as that was removed, it was £80 for lunch! I really don't mind paying for good food but that was very expensive for what we had and won't be returning.

Had take out from here and it was absolutely delicious and on time. Perfect duck red curry (not too spicy), super pad Thai and cashews chicken! Can't wait for the next time.

Went to celebrate a family birthday and it was amazing as always. Attentive staff, good quality food, good size portions, nice welcoming atmosphere! Nothing was too much trouble.

Great food and prompt service. Recommended by family and lived up to the excellent reviews. My rating of 4 reflects the one thing that was not to our particular preference in that the sticky rice came beautifully packaged & steaming hot but was so sticky that it was too heavy.

This is an excellent Thai restaurant. Four of us ate there, each ordering different starters and different main dishes. We all agreed our meals were really tasty. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant is fairly small so probably best to book at busy times.

We have a short break in East Dean when we're traveling to Birling so we decided to have a lunch first. The foods in here is amazing that I just like traveling to Thailand before. I tried many asian food in UK but this time I want to said this restaurant is selling real Thai food. Extremely high recommended!

one of my favourite restaurants. service is amazing and the food is so delicious nothing is every wrong with it. the atmosphere in the restaurant is so peaceful. in most other restaurants it’s loud and i have to raise my voice to talk to my family but in here it’s lovely. all the food is very traditional and so delicious

Really not happy with our food this evening. We have been before and found it to be a lot better. Overdone starters - tasted more like a starter from Wetherspoons. The main meal was bland and the steak came rare when I didn’t ask for rare, I felt sick eating it. Waitress was nice though and apologetic. Overall overpriced, bland food. We won’t be going back.

It was a birthday surprise and it met all my hopes, everything is so well presented. If there was any small critic perhaps a little more ambience but that is very small point. Will definitely be going back when I can afford it

Great food but the atmosphere was uncomfortable and very stuffy as there was no ventilation so it did not feel covid safe so unfortunately it was not a relaxing evening.

We ordered a takeaway from Thai Terre East Dean for a second chance after a poor experience on a previous occasion and I am sorry to say I won't be ordering from here ever again. The food is expensive and mediocre. Duck with tamarind sauce was full of pineapple which is not mentioned on the description, Garlic /Kratiem Prik Thai chicken was tasteless and anaemic looking and the rice was all stuck together. I have not had a reply from my email regarding my comments but nothing so far which I feel is unacceptable. It is such a shame that we won't be ordering ever again from this establishment - we really wanted to like it as it is so convenient!

This was a 70th birthday celebration but was sadly a poor choice of venue. We arrived at 7.05pm and were promptly shown to our booked table. The waitress took our order and our drinks were delivered quickly. From there it all went down hill quickly. We waited for 1 hour 5 minutes and were about to cancel the meal when a waitress showed up with our starter platter, apologised fir the delay stating "we are very busy with take aways!!!". We found that incredible that the restaurant prioritises take away customers over booked in dining customers. The food itself was mediocre, tasting rather like a cheap chinese takeaway. We didn't dare go for a sweet in case we had another 1 hour wait!!! In all, I would certainly not recommend it for a special occasion nor if you want decent quality Thai food.

Not that happy with my food unfortunately. Sauces were watery! Not very tasty! Tempura veg was too soft and greasy! Fish cakes were strange! Not any fish and they were chewy! And the satay I've had better from a supermarket. Shame!

We had a lovely experience here this evening. We ordered the duck spring rolls, satay chicken, pad Thai and phanaeng curry. The food was all fresh, delicious and very well presented. The only reason I gave it four stars is I feel rice should be included in the price of the curries & the portion sizes could have been slightly bigger - just my opinion though.

First time eating here and having read the reviews I wasn’t expecting to be shocked. I wasn’t. Service was very good, attentive (but not overly) ambience was as expected (when will we be able to eat properly again damned COVID!) my food, simple Pad a Thai (prawn), was average and a little oily But wife’s Geeen curry was excellent. Would go again.

The restaurant was fairly quiet for a Friday evening and unfortunately lacked atmosphere. Service was satisfactory and we enjoyed our food. I particularly liked my monkfish curry, which was tasty and piping hot.

Lunch at Thai Terre is an important part of a trip to Eastbourne for us; we have never been disappointed and its nearly worth the journey on its own - and we live at Maidstone.
