Fisssh in Wealden

I have eaten in lots of fish restaurants. And I'm going all out and saying this is up there with the best. Staff friendly. Back to the meal . I chose the large Cod and was it large. With regular chips it was excellent quality. The fish was white and not dry. And the chips was piping hot. I also love the Fresh lemon and tartar sauce in the box . Most places just don't bother. I'm so glad I found this little gem of a place. I did have it to go, but there were tables inside.

We placed an order online and the money was debited. The delivery time passed and no food. Rang shop and no answer. Then notified that order was rejected. Really poor customer service and a waste of time. I won't be using again.

We had takeaway fish and chips for 2 . Ordered online. No problems Pick up. Prompt Food. Delicious. Loved the extra touches; fresh lemon, portion tartare sauce and served in boxes Definitely now the Best fish and chips in Crowborough

Sixteen family members went to Fisssh to celebrate the life of our mum who adored fish and chips. The guys could not have been more helpful, letting us have the whole of the seating area for the evening and serving us all different meal choices. The food was great and we cannot thank them enough.

Epitome of a dinner. God knows why anyone goes here. Terrible chips. Poor produce. Cold God knows how this place still is open

Ordered takeaway as had our Grandchildren here . Last evening before school starts. Had takeaway many times before . This was just awful . So disappointing. Like warm food . Cheesy chips had congealed cheese on them . So disappointing. Called them and was told they'd send hot food which is beside the point . Now been told the owner will get back to me having rung 3 times . He's away . They've emailed him ... extremely poor customer service. I've been fobbed off with a voucher . I wa nt a refund for the most disgusting meal I've had from them . Will never order or go in there . I had acute indigestion for hours !!! Don't ignore .y complaint please respond 🙏

One again great fish & chips, always good portions. Today I was in a bit of a fibromyalgia flare up struggling with my words, a lovely girl called Maya was very patient with me and didn’t make me feel embarrassed or make it obvious I was having trouble. Well done her 👏

Fisssh catered for our family get together (45 people) and the whole order was perfect. All of the family commented how much they enjoyed the food and that it was great quality & good portions too. Thank you!

Delivery made on time. However skate fillet was INEDIBLE obviously way beyond its sell by date but deemed ok to provide for £9.50. To add insult to injury no response to my complaint. Not the rigjt way to treat customers.

We visited this establishment off the cuff as we were hungry and in the area the service and staff were fantastic the food was very tasty and nice and hot , the seating area was very well presented which made the whole experience more welcoming and warm , at busy times table clearing had been left for the hour we were there however our experience was fantastic thank you guys very enjoyable indeed.

The fish and chips were tasty but eating in was a very disappointing experience. A dim room round the back of the serving area at the front, poorly lit and with very limited seating. The tables hadn't been cleared for some time and nobody came to do that while I was there. Two other families who arrived had to pile up the used remains left by the previous customers. Haviing ordered, I had to go back to the counter to collect my meal which was served (if you can call it that) in a cardboard box accompanied by wooden cutlery. The only thing missing from this dreadful presentation was the usual fake newspaper and for that I was at least thankful. OK, it is just a fish and chip shop and the food is reasonable, but please make a bit more effort for customers who decide to eat in, otherwise don't bother.

I have to stop eating here because I’m getting fat 😂 In Australia We always had fish and chips every Friday but I’ve never found fish and chips in the UK enjoyable enough but then I found Fisssh in crowborough The food is so nicely cooked not greasy best fish and chips anywhere around friendly staff and easy app what more could you want

Have had a takeaway a couple of times and used the restaurant twice before. Always pleased with the quality of the fish and chips. However when we visited the restaurant yesterday we were very disappointed and will not do so again. You now have to order at the front, no waitress service, collect when ready and sit in a dim dark uninteresting seating area due to the fact they have built an obtrusive section to supposedly house a chicken meal takeaway. The walls are covered in corrugated metal sheets just like an old chicken shed. We ordered a pensioners meal but now the food is supplied in a cardboard tray and the cutlery is now thin disposable wooden knife and fork. Peas are no longer included. Such a shame, a retrograde step and dull eating experience that we will not repeat unfortunately. Oh well, hopefully spring is coming and we can go back to our favourite fish and chip restaurant in Eastbourne...

I've been meaning to check out Fisssh for a while now, but as I live in Tunbridge Wells, we just tend to use the local Fish and Chip shops...., but what have I been missing out on! We went for a sit-down meal there last week... The restaurant is very clean and a lot of thought has gone into the deco and layout - 9/10 The service was also excellent - 10/10 The best thing was the food..., absolutely excellent.. The chips were just lovely, as was everything else.. When you go to your usual Fish and Chip shop it's very often the same old thing, where the chips are overcooked and the batter tastes like nothing, but there was none of this at Fisssh, it was just excellent.. 10/10 I would advise anyone out there looking for a "quality" evening meal or a takeaway, look no further.., Fisssh are the best by a mile.. Don't take my word for it..., give it a try, you won't be disappointed..

Excellent quality food, not too greasy and you can order online too, Can't see Normal fishcakes on menu though (Unless looking in wrong place) Only Salmon ones The Huss and Cod Roe are particularly nice as are the Chicken Nuggets
