Amazing Thai food & amazing service from Napoleon! The Khao Soi & Lamb Masamman were 10/10 🤩

Absolutely appalled by the behaviour at Toff’s I wanted fish and chips fried in a separate oil from the same oil for sausage as it’s not halal. I was given terrible service from the fryer man who shooed me and told me we don’t do it. Then another man comes with a black shirt, thin with a beard saying we fry it upstairs but we are short staffed so no one can do it. Which is absolutely lies as there is a fryer at the end, but they couldn’t be bothered to fry it for me because I’m Black and Muslim. I’ve never felt so belittled and dismissed in my life, I will never go back there I’m so upset! To have grown men make me feel like I’m not worthy to provide a service for, it really disheartened me. I’m so disappointed with Toffs customer service it is the worst!!!

The outdoor terrace of this fish restaurant on the Thames is an under-regarded delight, as is the food. The spinach we had one sunny lunchtime still had grit in it, but Nuno, a superb maitre'd, ensured we were not charged for the item. In my view, as a practised bon viveur, this branch of Scott's is superior to the Mayfair original. mw

That was the best haddock I've had in years in london . It was huge and meaty and the batter was light and crispy on both sides and not greasy! Really really nice top quality ....the chips were also lovely amd the house salad was nice n fresh with balsamic vinegar

Barnes deserves better than this . Slow service despite being the only customer on a very quiet evening. Soggy chips, greasy fish. Never again.

The food is good even though the portions are tiny But given that this place is at the airport serving people who are in a rush , it is always so under staffed and the waiters are so overworked that they make you feel so nervous . Why is a place so popular with 2 people only .

Great seafood in central London. Service is amazing with a nice staff. Recommend starter Scallops and main a seafood platter which its a good share for two. Lobster is also big enough to share.

We booked a table for dinner at Fish Central. Two of my guests had never visited before so it was great to get their feedback. This is one of my favourite restaurants in London as they offer not only wonderful food but also deliver a great level of service. If you enjoy fish and seafood along with a wonderful level of service delivered by a team of experienced, mature, knowledgeable and engaging waiting staff then this is a place not to be missed. They specialise in fish and seafood and mainly British produce. They have an A La Carte menu but also offer a daily specials board too. The food is great, cooked well and tasty and served simply without fuss. The portions are ample and the prices very reasonable. It is hard to choose my favourite dish as they are all so good. The Grilled Dover Sole and whole Lemon Sole are great but so too is the Cod(number 18). Fish Central is a bit of a throw back to when family run restaurants were the norm and staff were well trained and accommodating and your bill was hand written on a receipt. This is a great place to visit with friends and family or even for a solo lunch or dinner.

The service at the restaurant was shockingly bad. It’s unclear what criteria the waitstaff use to decide how to treat their guests—maybe they flip a coin, or perhaps they judge based on appearance. If you're a tourist dressed in casual, comfortable clothes without flashy designer logos, chances are you'll be treated poorly. Initially, you might be greeted warmly and your food served promptly. But when it comes time to pay the bill, everything changes. If your Apple Pay happens to fail (even if it's due to their terminal), you'll get judgmental looks as if you're some kind of beggar. They’ll continue to treat you this way until you pull out a physical card to pay. After payment, the server will simply turn their back on you—no "thank you for coming," no acknowledgment of the terminal issue. They’ll just walk away without a goodbye. Honestly, we were lucky not to get a kick in the back on our way out. I've experienced bad service before, but this was a first. It was so frustrating that I had to go back and tell the server directly: the food was good, but the service was terrible.
