Love our local fish and chip shop, the fish tastes fresh and big portions of it. You can get lots of different types of fish too for the same price. All the classics like pickled onions and eggs there, and we like how old school it is! The owner is really nice too

I should have heeded the warning sign that there was nobody in this establishment apart from one guy serving. Unfortunately I didn’t. I ordered Cod & chips & fully expected him to cook them in front of me. He didn’t. He retrieved a dry exhibit of something masquerading as Cod from the “heated” section. I asked for a gherkin and the price went from £9 to £12.80. £3.80 for a single gherkin. Like an idiot I paid him and walked home. They certainly lived up to my limited expectations. The fish was like the sole of a shoe. It was all barely Luke warm. He asked me if I wanted salt & vinegar and then didn’t put any on. Couldn’t be arsed with the whole procedure and it clearly showed in his food. This guy should not be in business and I would urge you to avoid t like the plague.

Price list scribbled on blackboard - barely legible. Fish is frozen - NOT fresh !! Wrapped in paper so food goes soggy. Cod and chips £12 - unbelievable!! Never again - Do Not Go Here!! Brownswood pub is 10 mins walk - lovely fish and chips, peas and tartare sauce is only £15, sitting at a pleasant table.

Stumbled across this perfectly authentic old-fashioned chippie on Saturday and loved it - the couple serving were total gems & the chips were chunky, hand cut & cooked to perfection. The queue was out the door!

A strange but friendly fish n chippy

I've been to lots of fish and chips places across the UK, and this was the most satisfying and delicious I've had. I'm not usually big on chips, but these fat chunky chips are absolutely delicious. A local treasure.

The owner is nice (thus 3 stars). Food not great and surprisingly expensive for that quality. Fish just ok, chips terrible, total 11.5 gbp. Went as a tourist to try fish and chips in London from an old school chippy. It was a bad idea.

I literally just craved some vinegar soaked chips, but I felt like I came away with a new friend 🥺 the man in the shop told me all about how they make the chips, and what I could do to whip up a yummy nutritional meal with the leftovers. I've searched around the world for a chippy that beats my home one, and this is tied first.

Probably the worst chippy I’ve been to, something that you’d of thought it quite hard to get wrong. Zero urgency with the cooking, and grumpy staff. Run down interior also. Rudely charged us for 3 lots of curry sauce when we clearly stated that we’d like to share. Food itself was half decent. Wouldn’t come back, save your money.

A local gem. If you’re in the area and you’re hungry, it’s a must-visit place. You can find fresh fish and chips any time of the day. Portions are very decent and delicious. Besides, the owner of the business is a very sweet couple.

Lovely family store with a husband and wife running it. Decor seem’s vintage and gives a vibe of the early 90’s. Defo a visit!

These are some of the best fried and best *shaped* chips I’ve ever had. Big fat wedge things like fallen masonry. A large portion of them is hard to carry.

A most well run affair. A family owned business. A big burley man with very kind eyes that smile and shine with wisdom. Absolutely the best ~ this side of town. Well established and clean. Space is cosy; good to eat while upon your journey. Good conversation and knows each customer. Street level with other local stores along side. Therefore, you are able to pick up a few items to take home of an evening. The fish we chose was out of this world. Freshly cooked and the chips fat and cooked well. With all condiment available, (Tartar sauce, etc.). Hurry, from what we witnessed if you do not get there early they may well sell out of your favourite dish. So to avoid disappointment pop in today and order your dish. It is good to support our local stores or they may well disappear upon us...In this current season we must be more supportive or we the customers will loose out in the end. Gunners have a unique USP, amazingly they cut their chips by hand, which means that when you get a bag of chips you get a full chip all the way to the bottom of the bag, no little fiddly bits and they are really tasty, the amount of work that must take, really unusual.

Best fish and chips in the area, thick hand cut chips and a massive crispy battered fish. I've been a number of times in the past year and enjoyed it every time.

Very tasty, well cooked chips, I'm loving the chunkiness of them and with a pickled onion, gherkin or my fave mushy peas. The fish (according to son) is fresh and delicious. So try it. Simple interior but clean, and welcoming. Try it!

Was on Blackstock Road in London just around the corner from Arsenal Stadium, had the most delicious fish and chips. Highly recommend. Price was right too!

Just what the doctor ordered never been in before went in on the off chance when I was in the area I was pleasantly surprised its not much to look at from the outside but looks are deceiving.

A great chippy. Can't complain, they do eberything you'd expect from a chip shop! A great place to go before / after the football, or on a Friday night. You can eat in as well which is nice!
