Just awful. I was expecting freshly fried chips but I got old fried soggy chips. Really the worst health wise.

Prices hiked up - to be expected. £15 for fish and chips. On the plus side we got fish n chips for two and it could have fed four people. So healthy portions. I will return.

Just the very best, without a contender. The batter is crunchy crisp perfect, the fish - big fat flavourful flakes every time. Lovely fat chips. Generous portions, friendly guys serving. If there is a delay due to being busy, they always give me a bit extra! They’d been so busy tonight (see below) they had run out of mushy peas, but were more than happy for M&S to supply the greens! Mum normally complains of portions being too big, wherever she eats. Not this time! She looked well excited and just tucked in! Nom, nom!

A superb place to find a fantastic fish and chips tea - All at great prices,a local business that everybody should support - I most certainly recommend that you have your Friday fish day dinner here - The 419 bus from Richmond goes there & 533 from Hammersmith - It's right next to Barnes Bridge Railway Station!

£22 for two chips, cod & soggy sausage in batter.. three onions. Onions soaked in water don’t taste of onions not fresh, reheated old chips I’m guessing from weekend, worst chips I had out of here. Chips & food heading to the bin literally. Not impressed. Chips were not fresh and proper old dry chips it’s not the spud or the oil. 100% mixed old chips and stuck in a refry 100%. Going down hill big time. £22 lol 😆 absolute joke.. only a fool would dine here.. try out chip shop on lower Richmond road now that’s a chip shop and fresh! Nothing fresh apart from the prices at this chip shop

Was driving through the area a couple of months ago and decided to pick up a cod & chips. The meal turned out to be mainly chips with not much fish. A little disappointing for £14.50 and there are perhaps better value chippies around, or more affordable take-away options.

Not good enough for the price. Undercooked chips, some still hard. For nearly £30 for two portions I expect a better meal

Ordered 2 medium fish and chips - had been told it was good there!! The fish was small and dry and the chips excessive. £25 for three adults is not what I call reasonable. Threw out one whole pack of chips. Very disappointing.

Really disappointing visit. We have been here several times and always good however on Saturday the 9th of April at around 18.30pm we ordered battered sausage and chips and a Cod and chips. The first thing I noticed was the cod was smaller that usual and when we went to eat it the quality wasn't as good, very dry and not as fresh as it should be. Sausage and chips were nice but considering how expensive the Cod is this wasn't good value for money at all and left us feeling a little ripped off on this occasion. If the establishment is charging these prices they have to maintain there standards on this occasion this wasn't up to the usual high standards.

Just discovered this little gem ‘Tanya’s’ Best fish n chips in London 😜 Outstanding fish with melt in mouth batter n heaps of fluffy chips 😍 What a feast 👍 Staff so friendly and full of banter . My face was positively beaming and so was my belly . Highly recommend this little one 👍

A lovely meal, nice and quiet post Christmas

Without doubt, the best fish and chip outlet in London. It's that good, people drive for miles to get some of their excellent fish and chips. And even with Hammersmith Bridge being closed, people drive the long way round just to buy this superb fish. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

I hate this place. They will make me fat because it's so good. Proper chippy. Note that they only do one size of fish (which it's like extra large) and they don't do cards, but it's well worth getting some dosh to have some yummy fish and chips here. You won't be disappointed. (On the photo maybe one quarter of the beast of a fish is already missing)

The staff here are fantastic, there is just something about the guy behind the counter that radiates friendliness. The chips are average but the fish here is phenomenal. Huge, flakey, juicy fillets of cod in a light crisp batter...mmmm. I don't really like fish and chips but if in ever with anyone who wants it this is where I go. Yeah, the fish is a little expensive at 9.50 but the size of it is bigger than anywhere I've ever been.

Firstly the fish was fantastic, very well cooked with a delicious crispy batter. However when we arrived we were told "cards only" which was peculiar to say the least then to return and get charged £24 for two cod and chips and one curry sauce is just too expensive. Maybe cut down on the amount of chips and bring the cost down.

Went there for the first time with my partner a few days ago as the reviews looked good. Ordered the cod with chips and savaloy which was cooked fresh for us. We really appreciated this ! And not only that, they are extremely generous with the portion size! The fish was huge and they clearly were happy to give us a large portion of chips to go with our fish! Got home and was so happy with the quality of the food. Definitely a place to order if you are fancying some good old fish and chips! Would highly recommend this place!

Cash only bit of a pain in 2020. £10 yields the standard fish and chips however this is clearly meant for men looking for a one way ticket to a heart attack or 2-3 people, enormous portions. Not perhaps the freshest fish but not bad by any stretch of the imagination. Authentically shabby chic interior.

Great fish & chips, great location. Huge servings next to the river make after pub dining on the sea wall a treat. We drive 4 miles to Tanya's Fish Bar whenever we want fresh fish & chips!

Today was the third time my friend and I have had a takeaway fish and chips ,curry sauce and mushy peas at this chippy. As we live in Earls court its not a local shop for us (wish it was ) and we walk to Barnes for this lunchtime treat . Worth every step !! The two guys behind the counter are friendly and obviously a hard working pair. We order Haddock which is cooked fresh to order and delicious , excellent chips etc. Then off to sit by the ponds to relish this traditional English meal Thanks guys we will be back , shame we havn't got anything like this chippy locally.

Went at 1pm for a lunch takeaway there were two fish in the hot case and chips in the drawer He was not frying any more A cod and haddock and some battered sausages The menu had 20 items but everything tomorrow The batter was not crisp the fish tasted stale the chips tasted as if the were fried Half hour ago VERY BIG PORTION BUT WASTE OF TIME threw away half of it

It's kind of funny how my favourite chippy in London is in Barnes, where the average meal is probably an avocado salad with quinoa. But this place is quality. Food is always just right and the guys serving are great as well.

I think I might have found my new favourite fish and chips place. We recently moved to Barnes and gave this place a go. Holy.... the fish is really big, fresh batter, lovely chips. AND I felt good about myself afterwards unlike with some joints where it's really greasy and the food isn't fresh

Sea creatures with fried potatoes and pulverised little green vegetables ...excellent! Décor, like the reception area of a 1970s chop-shop. Staff are very 12-gauge friendly; you can't quite shake the feeling that at any moment you might get a good pummeling. Service is fast. No frills, eat-in, take-out; the best fish 'n' chips for many miles. If you like then please 👍 . "People who love to eat are always the best people".
