A fish and chip shop is a fish and chip shop , However, as soon as you walk in you are asked what would you like and how was your day To over friendly because lack of customers ,sunday opening is no longer ,such a shame Sunday fish and chips is perfect , As far as other chip shops , this is slightly over priced It's not about freshly cooked, its lack of customers, so have to wait for it to be cooked

The BEST fish and chips in the area. We drive past 5-6 chippys on the way here because they don’t compare. The food is always hot, fresh and 10/10! Guys behind the counter are super friendly too!

Excellent chips best I've had for years

They always use fresh fish and fresh oil, it tastes delicious, you can create great combinations with the garnishes you can buy from the Ham Food Center across the street. Highly recommended. Enjoy your meal.

This place is OVER PRICED for what you’re getting , food is either over cooked or the grade level is bad , I recommend not eating here

Usually pretty good, but twice now it's not been good, i.e. stomach ache. I suspect the fish was not used by the end of the day, was frozen overnight, then defrosted the next day and cooked in the evening. Also, they only want to take cash.

Absolutely brilliant fish and chip shop on Ham Parade! Everything was cooked to order, and delightfully fresh. I've rarely seen such generously proportioned plaice (they were massive) and the chips were crisp and well seasoned. Prices are competitive. The service is excellent here, too; staff are friendly and there's great banter with the customers. Highly recommended. ✨✨✨✨✨

Amazing food well priced big portion size

Took my dad here for a meal. Large cod and chips x 2 well, the cod was bigger than the plate. Was lovely and fresh with loads of meat on it. Chips were good too. And it's halal which means the fish is cooked separately to the meat.

Glad I gave this place another try.. So much better now it’s under new management. It was great when it first opened but then went downhill once it got sold… thankfully that arrangement didn’t last too long and it has now changed hands once again. I was speaking to the new owner who is a really nice guy and he was telling me how he is related to the first guy that owned it. The standard is back to where it was when it first opened, making it the best option for fish and chips in the area. Always nice and clean in there and importantly the food is always fresh and is cooked to order… this may mean a bit of a wait, but it’s well worth it. most of the time I call and order 15 mins in advance to cut out the waiting around in the shop. The highlight is of course the fish and chips which is extremely good, but I also highly recommend the chicken burger meal which is a breaded fillet fried to crispy perfection, in a bun with lettuce and mayo, with a side of chips plus a drink all for £6.90. Great work guys keep it up 👌

I’m not local and popped in this weekend as I drove past (second time in about 6 months, because the first time was so good!) and AGAIN they didn’t disappoint. The young chap behind the counter was as helpful and polite as I recalled from my first visit. Everything made freshly (you obviously have to wait a few minutes, though with this quality it won’t be a problem). The regular portion of chips was plenty big enough. Everything was piping hot and on point. The fish excellent. I just wish I lived closer, or they could relocate (😀) as my locals can’t touch this place.

I have tried FishnChips at a lot of places, and the best is in Fremantle, Australia at Cicarellos. But this here, for a small friendly neighbourhood Chippys, is very good. Its the best in the Richmond/Kingston area, and ive tried most in the area including a famous dine-in at Richmond, i dont go anywhere else anymore. The batter is light and crispy, not heavy and soggy. If Cicarellos is 7/5 stars, this one is 5/5 stars. This is under a new management since 7 months ago, so not sure how it was before. But the people there are a good friendly bunch. Please try it! 😬👍

What gets on my nerves is restaurants in 2022 that still can't grasp the concept of veganism an vegetarianism cooking practises , if you can't understand it then you shouldn't be in the catering business, I'm sorry just because you display a V sign on your menu doesn't make the item vegetarian if you are still frying the vegetarian dishes in the same oil as you are frying meat, to display this on your menu you are actually lying to the public. May I remind you there are people that do not eat meat for religious beliefs and for health reasons, any good restaurant will have a separate fryer to cook the vegetarian items such as, chips , battered halloumi, vegetarian spring roll, curry spring roll, veggie burger etc, if somebody was to come down ill then you could have a lawsuit on your hands. It's not rocket science, so have the correct cooking facilities means more sales,an more sales means more money. Not just lie to potential customers.

The best fish and chips I've had anywhere. Impossible to fault. Super fresh fish, amazingly light and crispy batter, and perfect chips. Oh and the super friendly staff of course. Have just moved to the area and they've given me a good reason to stay!

What makes good fish & chips? GREAT ones. These were. Beautiful big pieces of haddock, tasty batter and chips and not overly greasy. Staff really delightful. The 3 of us were impressed. (Visited Monday 4th July evening.)

This place does great fish and chips and I keep coming back. They cook fresh and it is absolutely delicious. Genuinely of the better chippies. The chaps are friendly and accommodating. I cannot comment on the burger menu. But if you go to a chippie looking for a burger you are in the wrong place.

Usually decent and tasty food but not this time. What's happened? The fish was very dry, the mushy peas were cold and the saveloy was dried up, the skin was like plastic. Threw it in the bin. I hope this place returns to its usual standard soon. Really disappointed as this is our go-to for good fish and chips.

Had severe diarrhea because I ordered cod and spring rolls from this place.. the only thing I ate all day so I know it can't be anything else.. it's either food poisoning or covid.. Will update with a final verdict once this is over. Update: it was food poisoning and not covid!!

Yes, they really are. Don't come this way so much these days or i'd still be a regular, but I can't remember ever having a dry chip or a disappointing haddock here. Friendly, clean, and big portions.

The best fish n chips n beans n service and at a very fair price when compared with the chip shop in Barnes. Definitely worth the drive to Ham parade. Go on, you won't regret it. You might regret it if you don't try it though. You can't say I didn't tell you. You can take a horse to water but if it doesn't want to drink then tough luck. That's all I gotta say. Swim with the fishes bud 😋

We have eaten several meals from here since the shop opened. It was quite poor in the beginning, but the standard of the fish has improved steadily and now it is actually very good. The service is great. Nice and slow, as they cook everything freshly for you and the chip portions are HUGE so go easy! This would be a five star chippie if they could make a really nice, crisp tasty batter, rather than what tastes like a pre-mix stodge powder.

Bright, clean shop. Very busy on a Thursday evening at 7.30 pm. Generous portions, acceptable pricing structure. Staff are efficient and friendly. Reconmended

Absolutely shocking!! I ordered a chicken burger and chips, the chips were stale and cold. The burger was the worst I’ve ever seen, looked like dead pigeon in a bun.
