Miki's Fish Bar in Richmond upon Thames

I love this chippy. I've been going a few years and every time I'm in I have a chat with the staff. The food is cooked fresh to order. I've tried the cod, scampi, battered sausage and the spam fritters (which I love). I'm happy to call it my local chippy.

Best fish and chips in the area, try it you’ll be amazed

A genuine warm, friendly greeting as soon as I walked in. The fish was cooked fresh upon placing the order. The place is Clean and Bright . And the fish batter was still crisp and hot when I returned home. No regrets getting this midweek takeaway Very happy 😊

I used to go to Regans in Whitton as it was the best Fish & Chip shop in town. However it has recently changed hands and been taken over by a kebab chain, and the Fish and Chips are of secondary consideration if recent reviews are anything to go by. So, I decided to try Miki instead. I ordered Cod & Chips, but instead of cooking it fresh I was given a stale precooked piece of fish. When I got home and tried to eat it I felt sick and had to throw it away. It's such a shame there isn't anyone round here who knows how to cook decent Fish & Chips. The only reason I've given them two stars instead of one is because the staff was polite.

Excellent. Has the scampi & small chips. Cooked fresh to order, tasty and fresh. First visit as was passing through. Will definitely make the trip back.

*** Visited again today, after nearly a two-years absence, and the fish was delicious and a positively huge portion for the large. The staff still very friendly and helpful. *** Simple and practical chippy but clean and with a couple of tables to eat in. The staff is lovely and friendly. The fish always very nice. The good hygiene rating is very encouraging. I would go more often if I lived closer.

Nice and clean standard chip shop with small sitting area. Always freshly prepared fish (if you choose large, it's going to be really large) and very nice chips also freshly prepared (not frozen) plus standard extras like mashy peas, battered sausage, saveloy etc. The staff is friendly and you can pay by card or in cash if you like. Definitely one of the best chip shop in the area.

The fish and chips where massive and tasted very good Customer service was excellent

Had delicious fish and chips here last night, with my three young daughters. We ate 'in' as we were off to see a school show with no time to go home. Staff were so helpful with the meals, some vision of portions etc. No our 'local' but we shall try to return!

Excellent chippy, really hot and fresh. Asked if it was ok to eat in on one of the two little tables. Got proper plates and cutlery, massive portions for takeaway price. Recommended

The very best chippy in the area. Very friendly and hardworking staff always with a greeting for their customers. The food is cooked as you wait making it as freshly cooked as possible. Typical chippy menu with a good variety of drinks. The prices are amongst the lowest I’ve found recently. I very much recommend this fine and tasty chippy.

Was a good chip shop now it’s horrible. I ordered vegetable spring roll that was burnt ever end and was not even tasteful the chips was like the was still swimming in oil and undercooked. I would never eat from this shop even if it was free.

Since moving out of the area we have struggled to find a fish and chips to replace Miki's! Best fish and chips around, lovely staff. Sadly we've just missed out on opening times a few times and really been disappointed that it was closed!

Good service food ok not recommended

We have fish and chips from here every week they are so good. Excellent fast, friendly service. My grandson got the order wrong and didn't have quite enough money one week, when we took the shortfall in the next day they refused to take it. There are now tables and chairs for eating in as well.

This is a must eat if your are in Whitton (especially if on the way to the rugby)! Everything is very well cooked from the fish to the sausages, but the chips are just like they used to be when I was a kid. Big in size, not over crispy, never soggy and don't taste of nasty animal fat. The serving team are always friendly. A must visit location.

Un petit Fish and Chips..avant d'aller dormir et bien voilà...près de la gare Miki's Fish Bar est là... c'est simple sympa et en plus c'est Bon et pas cher...le personnel est gentil...nous sommes satisfaits.

Unlike a certain other well thought of Fish and Chip establishment, just a short way away from Miki's, you do not have to wait for chips every single time you go in. Somehow here, they seem to always have them ready. They are not so, ahem, quite taken by suprise that someone visiting a Fish and Chip shop might want some chips. That aside, Miki's staff are friendly people, and the quality is good enough to keep me coming back. And at least it saves me a 15 minute wait.

Excellent traditional style fish & chip shop. Great ladies behind the counter. I have had several chicken & chips or fish and chips and it's always been great.

We called in the Chippy after the rugby at the weekend. Food was okay but the chips were superb. they fry them twice! I've worked in a chip shop and can count on one hand those hippies who fry their chips twice. Excellent
