The tea rooms are in a stunning location and make a great destination for a walk. We walked up from the car park in Lynmouth, it's a about 2 miles along the path. The walk was lovely along side the river which is a fast flowing stream. The path is challenging in places and a little rugid. But having a great destination drives you on. Great staff and good food. One highlight was seeing a Dipper (a small rare bird).

In Australia we have good food in pubs and clubs but expect exceptional food experiences in higher end restaurants. Un fortunately I ended up with pub food and my partner ended up with average tasting crab, but plenty of delicious chilli sauce. Best news was the cos or something in my salad was not past the use by date. It expires tomorrow

The Mish is a Tobermory institution and deservedly so. Its Mishdish restaurant is warm and homey, with a reasonably priced menu whose componentsare mostly sourced locally. We had a lovely evening there over a bottle of wine and excellent and generous servings of seafood and veggie specialities. For starters we had oysters, haggis bites, and a vegetable tartlet, followed by mains of langoustines, hake and a wild mushroom bourgignon with celeriac mash. Everything was served with courtesy and care for the customer. We will surely be back.

Called in on our way home to check out the station and cafe as we pass it monthly yet have never stopped. What a mistake this has been. The place is great, clean, quirky, and with great friendly service from the crew - coffee has to be the best we have had, and food is delightful, hot, and tasty and all this at a really good price - will be back to try the hot chocolate selection and the cake stand

Ordered a : Large Fish no salt and vinegar Small Chips no salt and vinegar Both the fish and chips were soaked in vinegar and they must have misheard me when I said LARGE fish as they gave me a huge box with a small fish in there. Total disaster - I dont recommend them!

Silly boy didn’t ask if I wanted the chips closed or open. Decided to close them, then when I asked can I have them open he said “too late”. Bless his socks, was clearly having a bad day. Went back to ask him to open them. He did after some convincing. In an extremely sassy manner. Muttering under his breath. Even said “well you’re wrong, not me”. Whatever you say lad just serve me my food, I ordered fish and chips not waffle. Ps. Not enough salt.

Tan decepcionado.

So, where do I start, sadly, not a great experience for first and definetly last visit. The service was terribly slow, the food and drinks not good. The location and atmosphere of the place is excellent sadly everything else failed miserably. After an hour and a half wait from order to service the food arrived in what should be a hot plate, luke-warm, I had the monk fish and prawn curry, whilst my family members shared a plater for two steak based, again this was also served Luke-warm, planning to drink our weight in cocktails we had chosen frozen fruit margarita or something like that, tasted like a child's slush puppie, so no we did not order any more and stuck with water! Having voiced our opinion at the end they removed the service charge and took a further 10% off the bill without any complaints. But I do not foresee a further visit from ourselves, sorry. 1 * and that's being generous.
