Absolutely brilliant chip shop. Fresh cooked food, very clean and a wide variety of choices all on easy to see tv screens. The owner is a fantastic lady, always smiling and great to chat to whilst in there. Never had a bad meal yet and have been a customer there now for over 17 years.

Every was lovely apart from the pizza, wasn’t nice at all. Also I should have 5 stamps on my card but they’ve all disappeared and I only have 1 stamp.

Order from here regularly as my local one is grim.. and food is always good and delivery id quick but tonight was the best one I’ve had so far from here.. food was pipping hot it was tasty and you could clearly tell the food was cooked in good clean quality water and not greasy in the slightest.. as mentioned I’ve ordered from here in the past and when I think of a chippy it always welcome fish bar best chip shop they is.

Delivery time was fine, but all food wasn’t very warm and was dark like it had been reheated all my fish batter was soggy and slimey

I ordered the chicken strip wrap and unfortunately it was dry, even though you can see some sauce, the taste is sour and there is so little of it that you can barely feel the taste, salads almost none at all as you can see in the photo. The wrap wasn't tasty. Unfortunately, the lady who made this wrap can't do it well. I recommend ordering only when a young gentleman is making food, because he can make a delicious chicken strip wrap or doner wrap.

Disgusting kebab. Smelled so bad and rotten that you can literally smell it from other room . It was also rubbery and not fresh at all. Owner s behaviour appalling too. Customer service does not exist. Will never order again from this place. Appalling !

Absolutely beautiful food, arrived on time and was hot and fresh. Delivery driver was lovely. Definitely a favourite takeaway of ours 😀

Ordered for 5 people had to then cook for 3 as food was not edible all 3 mini fish were hard and chewy mini fish special served on same small tray my kids meals came on so looked unappealing with fish bent to fit on tray and very few chips which were actually the edible part of the meal normally this would be served on a bigger tray when we have previously brought from here either in the shop or online.

expensive, bad taste, and the seller puts all your salads there to be as much as possible, honestly I wonder what salads I want but it's in vain that she still put all the salads 🤣 and of course I went back to them and they made me another one with what I want, not with all the salads I won't come back a second time to buy something from them

Brillant chippy kebab in a pizza box is perfect

Normally enjoy it from here but today the curry was thick and lumpy sausage seemed very pale and mushy

The food was absolutely beautiful. Really enjoyed it. Deffo would recommend. Thank you for an amazing meal

The food was absolutely disgusting I didn’t even eat any of it. It was cold squashed and the salad looked like it was from last week. Your doner meat was hard and cold I wouldn’t even give it to my dogs. The pizza box was missing 2 sausages. There was enough chips for just about 1 person as a side. The pizza was soggy cold squashed and looked like it had been slapped in the box. The peas looked like they had been blended. The gravy was lumpy and disgusting. I have requested a refund as it is was not as described and I did not eat one single mouthful. That was a joke for nearly £30 you should be ashamed, especially in the cost of living crisis.

It's alright like the best thing shunt be the chips but it was the burger was stale as like it was cooked before the day of this and rewarmed

We had missing items in kids meal like no kids drink or lolly and the burgers were stale as I ate it cus was hungry my pregnant partner cudnt make herself eat it think my daughter only ate cus she was hungry to don't norm have issues with this chippy today a bit of a negative surprise

Food nice and warm and tasty disappointed no dr pepper but coca cola sent instead so not to bad delivery driver very slow took 30 minutes from moment of delivery notification as shop is only 10 mins drive and took his time getting food out bag to hand it over. no negative comments against the food or service of restaurant as they was very nice on the phone.. just delivery driver could speed up a little bit. Have for ready for hand over.. usually 10/10 but 10/10 for food 7/10 for delivery today.

Had large chips chicken nuggets and burger and a kids chicken nugget meal. Honestly one of the best meals from a chippy. Chips were amazing, burger wasn’t a small chippy burger like you would normally get it was a good size meaty burger with sesame bun and chicken nuggets were crispy and cooked perfect. Defo ordering again!

Cold burger and donner meat is horrible

Just had our dinner from Welcome Fish Bar Shirebrook. Plenty on the menu to choose from so something for even the fussy eater. Our carryout order was still hot enough to eat when we got home and thankfully they still peal the potatoe's for the chips. Staff were welcoming and chatty while our order was being cooked. i certainly recomend this chippy.

Pizza is very doughy not very nice kebab tastes like a cheap kebab place and chips are soggy the sausages look anemic wouldn’t order from here again for that price I expected a lot more very expensive chippy for basic food

Category states "Fish & Chips" first fish in the category was Cod for £8.60.. quite pricey and naturally thought the category was fish that comes with chips. We were going to share the chips.. How wrong were we.. genuinely fish AND chips need ordering from the same category?? WHY not put them in different headings if NO CHIPS come with the fish… for £8.60 I would of expected chips with it. Then £4 delivery for less than half mile delivery?!?! WOW Safe to say the fish was VERY oily and unfortunately had NO flavour… sorry to say will most likely not order again from here.

There big cod fish are not worth there money made me ill

Visited this delightful looking fish and chips shop for the 1st time yesterday and was very impressed with my initial impression. There were very strict guidelines in place relating to the covid virus. The display was very inviting and a huge choice on the menu. I was served by an extremely polite lady who was very efficient. Arriving home we found the food had travelled well and once we tucked in a decision was quickly made that the food was amongst the best we had ever tasted. Well worth a visit, in fact, a superb place to visit.

Chips are ok, fish cakes are nice chicken & donner meat are really nice with spicy & garlic sauce , service is good, the £10 box meals are spot on with donar meat, mixed chicken with chips, cheese, salad, the old Cypriot boy behind the counter should smile a bit more 😀

Rang the manager up to tell her we had found 2 small, round magnets in our food; we weren't wanting to complain, just tell her about it so that she could ensure it doesn't happen again. She totally refused to admit this and told us this was not possible and to bring them to the shop then put the phone down on us. Went back to the shop to show her and she refused to believe we found them in the food and when I asked her if she was calling me a liar, she told me I had to get out of her shop and she was ringing the police! All I wanted was a sincere apology but she was just sarcastic and down right rude! I recommend that she goes on some sort of customer service training!

Had pizza, was soggy full of grease, most of it stuck to the box it came in, the taste was bland couldn't eat much off if. Normally get fish and chips which are decent. Avoid pizzas from there.

Best chippy in shirebrook with fastest delivery drivers. I only use this chippy as its my all time favourite. Cos is the best worker inside that shop . You should must try. :)

You do get a lot for your money

I visited this takeaway on Christmas Eve it was my 1st and it will be my last what shambles it was no organisation whatsoever all the staff were on the mobile phones bare in mind it was busy and had many customers waiting to be served and the young girl behind the counter was rude and did nothing but stand there and pick at her nose and handle food that was the final straw I walked out and will never be returning again and won’t be recommending to anybody and as far as covid safe there wasn’t any encouragement to wear face masks !!!

I like the chips here and the service is good. Burgers aren't the best but OK. Room for improvement but I will still use again.

Good choice of food, good price and good service but the batter was soggy and not properly cooked through. Definitely not crispy!! Whilst the fish was ok the batter was raw inside. Although it was so undercooked that it came off the fish completely when I unwrapped it. We also had battered sausage and that was the same. Soft batter that was raw inside. Its a shame as otherwise the food was good but I won't be going again.

Had takeaway fish & chips at lunch today & not impressed. Chips ok but fish pretty grim. Slimey skin, thin batter. Should have taken it back but was pushed for time.

Didn't know this fish and chip shop was there and I must say best fish and chips I had in a very long time. Will be coming again soon

Possibly the worst chippy in shirebrook. Had visited her occasionally but everytime theirs always been a problem. Everyone behind the counter just seems extremely rude. It's so overpriced for the food portions you actually recieve not to mention the food is cold we're it's been sat so long.

Cold food, over cooked burger ,probably one of the worst chip shop I've visited in fact is the worst chip shop, owner or fryer always on his phone never greats or interacts his customers must say avoiding this place in future!!!!
