The best fish and chips I ate during my vacation in England. Very generous, the fish very fresh and the owner very kind and friendly. The Best fish and chips I had during my journey in UK. Very big and fresh fish. And the owner was very pleasant.

Ordered Cod and Chips but the Cod was rather bland this time, chips where ok but had to add my own vinegar and salt as seemed a small amount, Shame as normally alot more better.

Brilliant customer service, food wasn’t greasy.

total waste of money. by the time it arrived, son had to leave for without having his dinner. the food had been sitting in the bag so long, the batter had gone soggy, so had the pie. The chips were terrible. the only thing that got fed was the bin. I want my money back.

Food is tasty but I don’t know why yesterday after taking food I am suffering diarrhea it’s not main think one Staff his attitude very very bad I see , one old just eats delivery driver with him unnecessary argument and rude behaviour with him. sometimes this staff rude attitude with their customer I think he come to work after taking alcohol. so bebecarefull when this person work in restaurant no need to talking extra. very unhealthy Food & last week after take food from this restaurant i was suffering severe diarrhoea. In this restaurant one of the male staff is very very idiot & his attitude is very bad. I noticed he always rude rude behave with his customer.

Pie was delivered instead of 2 battered sausages.

First time using this chip shop as I usually use another but they weren’t taking orders, so used this one and have to say hot food, everything was lovely, fish, chips, fish cake and sausage in batter will order from here again very happy

Said driver was at restaurant but I drove down there and no just eat driver was there then the app switched over to say they had just left absolute rubbish food was cold never had a problem with this chip shop and ordered many times before but drought I'll be using just eat again

Last weekend we had the pleasure of dining @ Ocean Fresh for the first time . I must say it was a fantastic experience from warm and welcoming greeting to finish. The Owner, Mass , who was incredibly friendly, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Fish and chips was great and just the right amount of crispy and we were impressed with the quality of the ingredients. Aside from the delicious food, was the reasonable pricing. Ocean Fresh definitely delivers great value for your money. We will definitely come Back or take advantage of delivery . Thanks Mass

Chips where soggy the batter was soft spam fritter didn’t taste like spam and the sausages had a funny taste

Was missing a whole portion of chips, chips were soggy with no salt and vinegar as requested, savaloy very dry. Childrens meal okay. Will not order from here again.

Lovely jumbo sausage, chips and garlic mushrooms. Only thing I would mention is the portion of garlic mushrooms is a little small for the price. Maybe use larger mushrooms or increase amount to 12 per portion.

Cod was lovely, chips and burgers terrible.

Was really looking forward to our food, however there was a fish cake missing so I only ended up with a plate of chips (wedges) because for some reason half the chips still had the skin on. #sackyourpotatopeeler

Got charged twice for the same order. According to my bank, two withdrawals of the same amount were taken from my account at the same time, and I would like to know why? The bank is now looking into the matter.

Never buy from here if u r a vegetarian or vegan When they cook the meat ie sausage or any other none vegetarian things they put the cooked meat with the cooked chips .until the customers come in .

Food was absolutely disgusting cheesy chips had the smallest amount of cheese on. The chips were hard and cold and burnt the curry sauce was way to runny the sausages were pink in the middle and the savloy didn’t taste right that is the second time from there and again vile all went in bin do not order from there

Absolutely delicious as usual. Husband had half pound burger and me vegetarian burger and shared chips. Chips are from fresh potatoes and lovely. Burgers were tasty and a good size too.

Have been coming to this place for around 25 years on and off, it's changed hands around 4 or 5 times in that space. Current Persian owner is very good and looks after his customers, the chips and food are nice as always

I used to always come to this fish and chip shop when I used to live locally and absolutely loved it then and still love it now only thing i would complain about was the fish cakes were a bit mushy other than that great meal for great value.

Ordered at 6pm for delivery at 7pm, arrived over two hours late. Tried phoning for an update, but no answer. The food was good though when it finally arrived.

Arrived late but was worth the wait. Food was piping hot and plenty of it. Fish was freshly made and the batter light and not crispy. Tasty food and we will use them again.

Lovely meal. My veggie burger 🍔 was delicious and loved the mayonnaise that came with it. Chips were perfect. Husband enjoyed his jumbo sausage. We also enjoyed our sides, me mushy peas and husband beans.

What a joyful find was this wee chip shop. As a native Glaswegian on tour, with chip shop work experience under my belt, I’m a wee bit fussy about my fish. Picture this, 6 hours in the car, heatwave, kids tired, hubby hangry… an hour to go till the ferry queue even opens. We were driving around Portsmouth doing some admin jobs, and had just filled our tank at the petrol station across the road, when we stumbled across this unassuming little chippie. Multiple choices of fish, and kids meals available. I spot a deep fried mars bar on the menu and strike up conversation with the owner. He’s been in fish and chips for 20years- previously at a neighbouring shop, and now here. He tells me proudly that he sources his fish from UK waters. He’s used the same supplier for years, a family business run by 3 generations. He can get his fish a third of the price from China, half price from Norway or Germany, but this fish, this fish is worth the money. You know what, he was right. Tender, flaky cod in a perfect crispy batter. No skimping on the salt and vinegar. I’m writing this review in part to thank him, in part to bookmark the place for our next car ferry journey. So if you’re heading to Portsmouth for a ferry, give it a try… It’s ideally located about 3 min drive from the Brittany ferry terminal. So your chips will still be hot when you check in..:

Decided to try this relatively new chip shop. On a positive the food & portion size was very good. However the price was ridiculously expensive. We usually use wetherby whaler & pay around £8 for a regular fish & chips. We paid £7.80 for one fish & nearly £3 each for chips. I appreciate things have gone up, but not that much. Won’t be going again. Shame as local to us but not at those prices.
