Taken here by friends who live nearby and visit weekly. The place looked spotlessly clean if not a little old fashion but that doesn’t detract from the excellent fish and chips. Batter was light and chips nice and crispy and all freshly cooked. There were three of us and the bill was less than £25 the same meals in Cheltenham where I live would be more like £45. Very nice lunch so well done

On holiday in the area and ordered a traditional seaside chippy tea. It was superb.

Gave us the wrong order. no help when contacting them on the phone. Waste of money, very dissapointed. We spent 25£ on food, got about 12£ worth with the food that was delivered to us.

Not great, super pale greasy batter on fish, and chips tasted like they’d been refried. Curry sauce that was somehow simultaneously lumpy and runny. Didn’t enjoy and wouldn’t recommend.

Another hidden little gem in Lytham, not far from where I stayed. First call dining room, pleasant, service was pleasant, and I must say the steak pie, chips, peas and curry with an added pot of tea hit the spot. Recommend calling in. Called in again two nights later for a takeaway, same as about. You will fully enjoy eating in/out of here. Great work team, keep it up. Worthy of a 5 star rating from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Order said it had been delivered but never turned up. No help from business, just told to ring just eat and just eat impossible to get through too. On holiday. £30 down and two very hungry children.

first time using the place was good

We were on the beach at Lytham, but wanted to grab something before we went home. Found this great chippy just a short drive from the pier. Looks can be deceiving... The place had some seating outside, but had further seating and a clean ladies/gents at the back which is a must with a young family. We arrived in the last hour before closing, but were served in a warm and friendly manner, and had a good sized fish with golden chips and mushy peas. With a hot pot of tea! We also ordered burgers, which were served with proper cheese, chips and a soft drink. All tasted really nice and the menu had lots of different options. All we ordered was halal and meals were under £10 each. Highly recommend.

Awful service chips was like scraps sausage looked like bin sat there since lastnight asked 4 a fork told there 5p when offered the money on card had no cash wouldnt take payment and wouldnt give me one give me tiny peice off wood DONT GO HERE

Small fish, chips and peas £8.95 Peas dry and tasted burnt. Fish was a pink colour....tasteless and soggy batter. Chips very greasy. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!!!

No fancy tables and chairs or decor just straight food served in reasonable time. Prices a little reolistic and good food.

this is the most disgusting fish and chips i have ever eaten,no i did not eat them because they were off my wife eat hers or some of it and was ill all knight at our age it was dangerous this is not just once three times over a year or so.i dont like to do this review but it must be said.the chips were old the fish tasteless,never again.

Chips needed cooking another couple of minutes, our meal came in boxes inside a poly bag, the boxes were soaking in moisture when we got home. Cannot understand what the guy says..not going back..

We decided to give this local chippy a try,As we have used the " big 2" named chippys in Lytham and they were way overpriced and not great(living off past glories) Back to Lytham chippy review.... Very hard to order your food with limited vocabulary. The food was cooked as we waited,which at least was freshly cooked. Fish and chips and fish bites with chips. But very greasy and the chips are frozen chips, fried. Not real chips of maris piper type! The actual fish was ok,but again very greasy,like the chips. Not that cheap either. In fact Not much cheaper than the 2 big named chippy in town. Not great at all,Sorry. We would not use here again after this experience.

Not bad but far from excellent Fish and Chips. We'd been in Blackpool for the day and know from experience that good fish and chips are rare in the town so we decided to stop further afield on our way home. It was late so many options were already closed but this one opened till 9 so we went here. Fish was freshly cooked but the batter was quite oily. Chips were reasonable. Staff friendly.

Best fish and chips in lytham by far.

We called here for a spot of lunch whilst enjoying a day in Lytham, the service was spot on and the quality of the fish and chips was really good, the fish was so fresh will definitely be going back. Inside and outside seating, bathrooms very clean.

Shopping in Lytham today and happened on this Chippy. Sat outside with our dog and had the small fish and chips and mushy peas, Milo had a large sausage. Great value at £6.80 with drink too . Would recommend when in the area.

The chips were very scrappy and not really suitable for the expensive price charged. The fish tasted very oily . The food was warm and the fish was a good size . I don't think I will be going again

Called here as an extended family (no teens, but hungry kids) and had a delicious meal. Quality food and a great variety on the menu. We sat outside at the chairs and tables provided.

Nice staff and food was good too

The fish was nice and the people really friendly but the chips were like oven chips rather than chippy chips. The other places had long queues so we came here. Lovely people but we won’t be back again sadly.

Very friendly little chip shop just off the main High St. We ordered 2 portions of small fish and chips at £5.25 each and debated whether or to take out when the polite chef/server recommended to eat in as the weather was not brilliant outside. We ate in and was not disappointed as it also came with a side of mushy peas and a pot of tea or coffee. Without being greedy, the fish was generous in size and cooked to order complemented by a large portion of fresh chips. Would definitely recommend 👍

Thanks for the fish and chips . The fish was cooked to perfection also the chips were well cooked not greasy . This is one of the best fish and chips I've tried forget takeaway fish and chips get the traditional English style fish and chips served with either gravy or mushy peas. Looking forwards to hopefully trying your fish and chips next time I'm in Lytham.

Lovely little chippy and cheap. Fish and chips made to order were one of the best fish and chips I've tasted. Sat in and ate them little eat in place at the back, not everyone knows about this. Will definitely be going back next time I visit Lytham

After a busy day/evening in Blackpool me and friend decided to head home and whilst on our way back we fancied some fish and chips, we found this shop online which stated they were open as well as the huge sign out the front of the shop clearly showing the opening times, we walked in where an elderly couple were being served and before we could even say hello some young lass barked “were closed” we arrived at 8:35 some 25 minutes before they were due to close according to the online times. This is no way to greet customers who have stepped inside an establishment especially when times are tough, money is tight and I would have thought every penny in the register of a small business was welcome, Clearly not on this occasion and the money we would have spent went into the till of the very large corporate giant with the Golden Arches. I’m all for supporting small business but when an unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude like this is displayed I’d rather keep my money, I just hope they treat their local customers with a bit more decency and respect,

Never had so much grease. Potato fritters were swimming in it and because of the way they chucked the food in the carrier bag it poured all over every package into the carrier bag and onto my seat of the car. Will not be going back

Went in today just as they opened for 3 quick chips and gravy with a battered sausage. It was excellent first class, I even asked for extra gravy on mine which they did with loads. Was perfect!

Good evening 6728FSjenniferp I am really sorry its taken so long to write this review but if I recall on the evening in question you came in and ordered fresh fish and chips which you then went outside to eat as the shop was busy at that time. if I recall you then came back into the shop (without a mask) and demanded your money back claiming the fish was TOO BIG and you couldn't eat it all and demanded your money back which the owner refused but you wouldn't take no for an answer, then because of your silly behaviour the other customers politely asked you to leave which you refused to do at that time you the proceeded to throw the remaining meal at myself but thank you for that as now when our regular customers come in some of them still (and I do) laugh about that a grown woman could do something that I wouldn't expect a toddler to do and I personally think that you need to spend some time on the naughty step before Father Christmas comes P.s I was the polite gentleman behind the counter

Place is clean staff polite but no crisp in either the cod or the chips, pale looking and floppy, tasteless . Went straight into the bin. As an aside, nobody wore masks and the shop filled up so customers were shoulder to shoulder, what happened to social distancing in this day and age.

What fantastic fish and chip shop, we drove 60 miles to eat here it was well with the drive and I would highly recommend it to anybody. Somebody posted on a previous review that it tasted like it did when they were a kid and yes it tastes very good just it used to. We will be back again soon

Great fish and chips at a good price

Went in on a Monday evening at 7pm. Nothing prepared and ready for service but this was OK as we thought 'Great - eveything will be fresh'. We asked for what we wanted, only to be told that there was no cod, no this, no that... The gentleman serving was very dismissive and impolite. Not at all what we had expected given the reviews. Sad to say that we left and went into Blackpool in the end! It's touristy but at least that are polite and able to serve customers.

We had the fish special at lunch time. The fish and mushy peas were excellent, but the chips were thin, hard and practically inedible. We took them home to eat and so couldn’t take them back, which we would have done if we’d been eating them straightaway.

This chip shop deserves to do well. Spotlessly clean with friendly helpful efficient staff and providing excellent fish and chips at very reasonable prices even when eating in. Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else when visiting Lytham. Hoping to come again very soon.

We had friends over for the New Year and we 'introduced them' to our favourite Lytham Fish and Chip shop (and we have three good fish and chop shops to choose from). Living in Hull you'd think our friends would get good fish but the fish and chips from this fish shop surpassed the home offering. One tip though- the ordinary portion of chips is sufficient for two people.

Great fish and chips. Great deals (£3.50 in the day for meal deals) and get this - same price to sit down as well as takeaway. Recommended and the best in Lytham!

Staff are rude and abruptive. They told our children to be quiet... they weren’t being very loud and they are both autistic with severe learning disabilities. 😖😢😢😢 The staff need training in customer relations, we left the establishment without food as we felt highly offended. We walked down the road to where we usually go but after seeing they were busy thought we would try here. Never again for us! We will continue to go to Seniors fish and chips on the other side of town where they know how to look after their customers properly and deliver fresh hot and delicious food.

Had a lovely piece of haddock, perfectly cooked with crisp, light batter. Excellent value. Chips were good but were a little small and lacked the necessary fluffyness factor. Girl friend had large sausage, chips and curry sauce, which she really enjoyed. For £12 this was a very good late tea and would recommend.

Came here with the family and had some fantastic fish and chips. Fish is crisp without bing too oily which is great. Only knock is no gluten free so my wife couldn’t enjoy as well.

Visited St Anne’s with our grandchildren and sat outside with them to enjoy their lunch. Lovely staff and great fresh food. Would recommend

A good 7, or so years ago this place used to be amazing, then got new owners which is where it went rapidly downhill. There is has been new owners again in the past couple of years and it is back to it's best! Cannot fault the place and the deals it has are fantastic. My daughter does not usually eat smaller sized portions but the small sausage, chips and drink (for an amazing £1.99) fills her up. Possibly a bit too happy with it now because I keep going back

We are regular visitors to the Fylde Coast, we must say that when we come here we have Lovely fresh fish, chips and mushy peas for lunch. The fish was cooked to order as were the chips. Lovely light crisp batter and the chips crisp on the outside with soft centres. Good mushy peas. The staff were pleasant and happy. Great value for money.

After being very impressed with this fish and chip shop on my first visit (I normally use another place but it was closed) I tried it again again to see if my experience was a 'one off.' My second visit was on a Sunday evening and when I arrived the place was full (always a good sign) but I got served fairly quickly and waited for my order to be ready- all meals are cooked to order. As before the large haddock and (small- the only local chippie I've found that does small chip portions) chips were excellent. Needless to say I'll' be using this chippie regularly from now on.

The ownership of this chippy has changed over the years and dependent on the owner/how good the chippy is we have been back and fourth amongst all the lytham chippies (we have a chippy fortnightly). However, I have been many times now with its current owner since early 2018 and it is certainly a better standard than the other ‘well known’ chippys in Lytham. The Fish and chips, comes in a nice box, which helps maintain its crispness and the chips have always been cooked fresh to order and really good! Good peas and curry sauce also! My firm favourite chippy!

Asked for a portion of chips. I got barely warm, un-fluffy, grim-looking offerings. It really annoys me when chippies do this. Make new chips - why should i pay full price for rubbish chips just because that's all you have left in the range? Not on. Stupidly, I paid then I examined them and asked for a refund. Uneatable.

Stopped off for fish and chips and a walk down the front, this was the best chippy I’ve been too. Fish and chips in a box fresh and tasty better than the branded shops and cheaper. Loved it well done we will be back.

Visited on 24th July just for a few chips and sausage. It was awful sausage looked like it had been cooked about 10 times was all dried up. Chips looked like they had been re heated tasted just awful. It all went in the bin !
