The best restaurants serving Scottish food in Edinburgh and Lothian

Superb lunch at La Potiniere. We are just home after being so well looked after with the most delicious food. I've recently been diagnosed as in tolerant to lactose and it makes eating out more difficult but not in this restaurant you are just catered for and given the most tasty well balanced dishes. It is a small intimate restaurant but welcoming and elegant. I can't praise it enough.

Nos reunimos con amigos aquí para cenar el sábado por la noche que habían estado antes y dijeron que era muy bueno. ¡Lo fue! Un espacio pequeño, íntimo y amable que era muy cómodo en una fría calle 1 de febrero por la noche . El menú era corto, pero ofrecía una buena opción. La comida era deliciosa. Carta de vinos muy buena y gran relación calidad-precio. Bien cocinado con mucho sabor y servido por una señora servicial y agradable en frente de la casa. Esperamos volver muy pronto. A

El mejor lugar en la milla para la comida! Casi buena comida en una pequeña tienda. Disfruté hablando con el personal y las grandes recomendaciones. Ni siquiera nos habríamos enterado si no hubiera sido recomendado por el personal del pub local.

Excellent service and beautiful fresh cooked high quality food... Great value Lovely wee place My only negative on this visit was it was really cold in the cafe.. this meant food once served went cold really quickly.. and I had to keep putting my coat back on....

Solía gustarme mucho este lugar por sus comidas vegetarianas a un precio razonable, pero mi reciente visita fue decepcionante. We did diner. When we arrived no table available but we could do a drink at the bar and wait a while. After about 30 minutes we got a table. We ordered Salmon with greens and mashed potatoes. Great food. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the live music

The staff was wonderful!! The live music was not too loud and played wonderful!!! We tried several gins and had a wonderful time being here.

Best cheesesteak I’ve ever had! The beef was tender, the cheese perfectly melted, and the bread just right. Super friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Passing through and saw the road billboard, glad I did. Was dining alone today and they took very good care of me. Food was excellent, service great too.

Llamé a última hora para la mesa y aunque estaban ocupados nos encajaron. Comida increíble. Tenía pescado con papas fritas y mi amigo tenía pollo. Los recomiendo encarecidamente. Comida increíble por un precio razonable. El personal también era muy servicial. 10 de cada 10 chicos.

Lovely atmosphere, had vegetarian meal, imaginative, well presented. Would be Great venue for a party And Would also feel quite comfortable come here as a solo diner
