We had a birthday brunch here and it was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, service was amazing and super nice, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated and homely. We will absolutely return here!

Wonderful ! The brunch is delicious, everything is tasty and the manager is adorable. Go there with your eyes closed, it’s plentiful, there’s a lot of choice and the products are quality 😉

What a treat!! We are here on a short holiday and was looking for vegan eateries to try and this came highly recommended. It did not disappoint!! The service was so friendly and efficient, the vibe is so calming and aesthetically nourishing for the soulllll🫶🏻 Food was great, decent portions, high quality ingredients which shows through the amazing flavour in the food. 🎉 Highly recommend, will be back when next in Edinburgh for sure. Walked for an hour to and from, and would do it again.

Having been here twice now, I can say that this is one of the nicest cafés in Edinburgh! The food was absolutely delicious, and I love that there's gluten free and vegan options available! I will definitely be back here again :)

Wir fanden es toll, dass hier britisches Frühstück in einer veganen Variante angeboten wird, geschmacklich war es aber nicht ganz unser Fall. Dafür war die Bedienung sehr freundlich und der Laden ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Zur Frühstückszeit war es etwas schwierig einen Tisch zu bekommen und einige Leute mussten weggeschickt werden.

Sorry- didn't enjoy it. The coffee was medium temperature and didn't like oat milk in it. Soup cold and not to my taste .Sorry as it was bought as a treat by a friend.

Staff lovely, decor super. Alas, the vegan poutine is not poutine. No sign of any gravy whatsoever. The vegan poutine is chips pretending to be nachos. Lovely chips and a lot of chilli in the salsa which was not really a salsa, rather a cold tomato sauce that when reheated would make excellent pasta arabiatta.

Delicious food, and it was a weight off my mind to have a 100% vegan menu and knowing I didn’t have to worry about accidentally ordering the wrong food.

This place looked lovely and cozy from the outside, so we decided to sit in and have our snack/coffee. They have a good selection of cakes (which I think is from Brakes). We ordered a slice of cake and salt/pepper chips to snack on - the taste of cake was good & the chips were okay, my husband said the latte wasn’t great either. I think for the ambience and if you’re fully vegan it’s a great option, but I think overall, they are over priced for the quantity and taste.

We were visiting from Australia and, firstly what a beautiful city and people! We were there around lunch and had the Soup of the Day which was mind-blowingly good (zucchini & pea) with a delightful herby sourdough. This allowed some tummy room to indulge in the best homemade Apple Pie I have ever had. It's an old trope by now but wonderfully flavorful food, friendly service, subtly sophisticated atmosphere that inspires goodwill to mankind. "That" kind of experience! We'll be back and highly recommended to all "being-loving" humans.

I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and it was AMAZING!!! We had a burger each and shared some chips and it was just wonderful. We also got the cutest dessert hehe. Thank you so much for making it an incredible evening.

This restaurant in Edinburgh was the best vegan experience I had in the UK! We ate bowls that were very well prepared, seasoned, colorful and delicious. We ordered desserts which were divine! The place is very beautiful and cozy, with good service. It's a great place for meals, snacks and breakfast and is open until 9 pm, which is good for tourists!

This is my go to vegan spot when in Edinburgh. Delicious food, desserts, smoothies and coffee drinks. I get the falafel every time and it never disappoints! Also the Biscoff latte and the chai are favorites. The staff is friendly and wonderful, but service tends to be a bit slow – it’s worth it though.

Incredible vegan food! I'm a reluctant carnivore looking to reduce my meat intake and SFTS hits all the spots. The burger and loaded fries were incredible and left me full and happy! Add in friendly staff, quick service and decent prices and it's a winner! Worth mentioning BYO is £1.80 for a bottle of beer so pop in to the off license on the way or try one of their tasty smoothies. 👍

Wonderful place to have a good dinner

Great vegan place for non-vegans alike. I'm not vegan but enjoy good vegan food. The taste of my burger was really good, the patty with success imitated meat. Even the vegan cheese was tasteful, which I often loathe. The burger was soft, each ingredient with its own specific taste. I was very happy with my choice, would definitely consume again. One star lower for the atmosphere as the place is quite small and quite dark, even despite the lovely looking starry night lights under the ceiling.

Vegan place we wanted to try for a while and it didn’t disappoint. We got burgers (BBQ and Satay) and they were very tasty and very filling. The Sun Salutations smoothie was amazing 🤩

A really pretty cafe which acted as great refuge from a horrible rainy day. I ordered the biscoff hot chocolate which was absolutely delicious and surprisingly not too sweet with a lovely balance of the biscoff with a rich chocolate. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere :)

I came here for lunch with my mum a couple months back and it is fair to say I was impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and really hit the spot, as well as being priced very reasonably. I got the salad with tofu and tahini dressing, which was absolutely divine. My mum got the falafel salad which she enjoyed too. At times, our server felt a little stand-offish but our food was great and the vibe inside the cafe was so lovely and genuinely a lovely place to be. I will be back for sure.

Staff were not friendly, did not ask how our meal was or if we needed anything. It wasn’t busy, they just seemed over it. Food was okay, could’ve made it home. Couldn’t believe they charged 2.4£ for still water! Nice to see a fully vegan restaurant just wished I hadve tried a different one in my limited time in the city.

The staff were also always very friendly and helpful and we really loved the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. Even though we were full after the meals (we loved the Soul Bowls) we regularly added two of the heavenly cakes to take home and enjoyed later. Other times we also went specifically earlier so that my son can enjoy the Full Vegan Breakfast which is actually available until 3pm. Very reasonable time to still serve breakfast. Now, 2 months later and back home in South Africa I wanted to surprise my son yesterday with some of their take-out meals for his birthday. Thomas was instantly available and helped me to get the order sorted from South Africa in no time. The order was also delivered 5 minutes faster than the designated time. So also kudos to their outsourced delivery service Deliveroo. Thomas even personally made sure that my son received it and enjoyed it. Top service and management. What a gem of a place! Looking forward to many more meals when I visit next.

Yesterday we were at the restaurant in the evening and everything was out of the ordinary, the warm attitude and attention was great. It was really a corrective experience for her that makes me want to come back and tell my friends about the place for good. I really appreciate the opportunity you gave me to come again and experience it and the food was great as usual! Thank you very much and have a good day

Luscious little cafe in the area of Bruntsfield where everyone should buy a two bed and rent it out on airbnb

We came in with a large party (9), including two children and one latecomer, and the staff could not have been friendlier or more patient. Our orders arrived promptly and the food was delicious. This is our second visit to Seeds and I know we’ll be back!

This place is hugely overrated. Service was slow to dead stop at a quiet time. Staff were verging on rude. When I asked for a glass of water the waiter asked if I wanted anything else ang replied 'Good' when I said no. As a lifelong vegan I found the food uninspiring.The usual meat substitutes with very tough pancakes and salads that did not inspire. Needs some reinvigorating and a better attitude to customers. Give it a miss I would say.

The staff were very unfriendly, verging on rude. We asked for water and it was not delivered. When we politely asked again it was put onto the table and we were asked if we wanted anything else. When we responded no the waiter replied "Good. The pancakes were tough as old boots. We are lifelong vegans and have tried many restaurants. This one feels like it is going through the motions.Avoid.

Been loads of times as its one of the few fully vegan restaurants in Edinburgh. Also great food and service, never had a bad experience. Burgers are super tasty. Would recommend to anyone, not just vegans.

Had a lovely bowl here, service was great too.

We came here for breakfast but it left a lot to be desired. We ordered the savoury pancakes, which came with syrup, pancakes, sausages, bacon and eggs. The pancakes were okay, but dry and hard to swallow. Bacon was tasty, but the sausages had an odd texture and tofu eggs were very watery and bland. The highlight of the experience was the coco loco smoothie, which had a refreshing yet comforting taste. You deserve great food, whether you are vegan or not and you should not have to settle. In this place, I definitely settled which is why I would not recommend eating here. If you want to play it safe, enjoy some of their shakes.

Ordered for take away and waiting over 45 mins to be told that they missed the order so just started doing the order after I been waiting for that long. Asking to get refund as I cannot wait longer and they said they can’t process the refund due to their card machine problem. I got my cash refund at the end as I told them I can’t wait any longer for the food ! What a waste of time

That was delicious. The prices are very correct. The atmosphere of the restaurant is trendy and artistic, it’s very nice. The welcome here makes the difference: very pleasant, caring, warm and caring service.

I went with a small group from the local yoga club to Seeds for the Soul. I am not Vegan but I’m happy with vegan food, having been to several vegan restaurants. This was definitely the best. My vegan friends are more experienced vegans and agreed, wouldn’t pass it up regardless of your dietary habits, and oh yes, the cakes are to die for. Thank you ☺️

Amazing vegan restaurant/cafe with a large and varied menu. The food is fantastic, so much to choose from. I would recommend booking a table in advance. Lovely cosy atmosphere and dog friendly too. Open during the day and serving food until 9 pm.

I was told gluten free and coeliac was catered for, made my allergy known and ordered a gluten free hummus and avacado toast and was assured it was gf, then a few bites into my meal I suspected it was regular bread, which it was. I’d have hoped that they wouldn’t have charged me for my side order and juice in recognition they served me good I’m allergic too, but they did. Other than that they are a great place and the food is tasty.

Cute little café with a breakfast and lunch menu. Cappuccino and cake highly recommended! Breakfast was also a highlight. We would have liked to try the lunch menu too, but we didn't make it in time! The service was very warm and friendly! No long waiting times for food and the prices are moderate/reasonable too! A clear recommendation!!

"VERY DISAPPOINTED". Hit and Miss food. Had Pancakes with Tofu scrambled eggs, Soya Latte to drink. The pancakes were cold and tasted like cardboard. However, the eggs were very tasty and so was the Latte. The staff were friendly and helpful and replaced my meal which was served up again, this time with the pancakes warm and reasonably tasty. However, the eggs came back very salty. (I know there is personal taste, but they were oversalted). Staff member was apologetic and gave me 10% discount off the bill which I appreciated. My friend who had a different dish complained later that day that she couldn't stop drinking. She said that her meal was also very salty. I have been before and one time I was served burnt toast with my breakfast. It was a small mistake but they all add up. It's one thing after another and for me enough is enough, hence my need to leave a review. I shan't be returning. Hopefully, things will improve as it is a pleasant cafe with helpful and friendly staff.

Wonderful vegan food. Special was potato & leek soup which was outstanding. I got the satay bowl which was super tasty. Didn’t have dessert but I was totally satisfied. Server was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Organic Vegan in Edinburgh, Scotland Food**** We got tofu satay salad and the full vegan breakfast. Both were very tasty and delicious!! Atmosphere**** Cozy and warm! Service** Sadly, this was not great. They forgot to put our order in which was upsetting. We were there over an hour and a half.

I like this place because it has both junk and healthy food to choose from, lots of places just serve junk food food so it's a breath of fresh air having veggies and beans.

Lovely kind service, great vegan food, drinks and we even got cake to take away. Dog friendly and were very kind to our dog offering her water. This was my second visit when in Edinburgh and it did not disappoint.

Really loved eating here. Welcoming atmosphere and great food. I had one of the Buddha bowls with sweet potato fries and the veg was fresh and full of flavor. Lots of take away pick ups from delivery agents so sit back from the door to avoid the draughts.

That shop was really nice however the staff where rude and the food was pretty awful although it did look nice on my story so not a total loss however wouldn’t recommend Also ridiculous price for the amount of food !

Fully Vegan! The staff was so kind and the food was good. Hard to make a choice with the fun range of creative menu options. A little pricey, but the quality of the food is high and it was a fun treat meal for us. The presentation of the food isn’t flashy (not a requirement for us), but the taste is great. The table next to us ordered one of the bowls and it looked really nice, so we’d love to try that next time. Weekday afternoon was really quiet/not busy. Might need to book a table in advance for busier times. The space isn’t too small, but could fill up quickly. We ordered: BBQ Burger, Savoury Pancakes, Mac N Cheese Chips and an Oat Latte. Just a note that the burgers don’t come with a side, but splurging on the Mac N Cheese Chips was so worth it! Vegan Mac can sometimes be :/, but they do it right!

We are a family of 7 vegans and we loved our meal tonight. We had burgers and Mac & cheese. 100% recommend.

The waitress was very friendly and recommended the soup of the day - she didn't promise too much. The soup was really delicious, as was the bowl. Everything is fresh, beautifully arranged and you will be full. We'll be happy to come back when we're in Edinburgh again!

Little food, expensive and the waiters don't make an effort

What a delightful experience! Alina truly made our visits memorable with her warmth and impeccable service. Her kindness and thoughtful recommendations added so much to our enjoyment of the delicious dishes. It was a pleasure to be in her company as she exemplified professionalism and genuine hospitality. We were so pleased with our experience that we couldn’t resist returning for a second day in a row. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, knowing that Alina’s hospitality will make it just as wonderful as before!

Overall it was a nice experience but I wish they pay more attention to the ingredients they use! It feels better if vegan food is also healthy for instance the mango chutney over the falafel was basically like a jelly or jam rather than real chutney! I think they use refined sugar in some of their creations! I was told I could have swapped the mango chutney for Tahini sauce which makes more sense to be on top of falafel.
