Beautifully decorated with an underwater theme - I’m sure it would’ve looked even more incredible in the evening with lights. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. And the food is delicious with good variety. We didn’t get a chance to try the cocktails but they looked great, hopefully we’ll be back to give them ago.

Excelente lugar (si te gustan los puros). Tienen una increíble selección de puros muy bien guardados. Las bebidas son excelentes y el ambiente es bueno. Yo diría que el servicio al cliente era excepcional. Conocido y amable profesional y divertido. Volveré.

Welcoming atmosphere, very nice staff and interesting food. Tapas style dishes with delicate Caribbean flavors, made with love. I would recommend the goat croquettes. Nice selection of wines and cocktails. Perfect for a special night out.

I tried the Jerk Chicken Lunch Box (available 12:00 to 2:00pm Mon to Thu) as a takeaway Delicious, simply delicious. Can’t wait to try something new

Went for some drinks with my friends the other night, the staff behind the bar were working really hard, apart from the girl who served us, she was miserable. I think she is called Andrea??? She was particularly unhelpful and gave no recommendations when I asked.

Antipode is a strange place. On paper its great: its a third-wave cafe with a good selection of retail coffee, serves natural wine, and opens late serving cocktails. However, I've lived around the corner from this place and I hardly ever go in. Why? The service and the vibe service really lets this place down. The guy with the long beard (who I think owns the place) literally looks at you like you've insulted him just by walking through the door. He'll serve you and make your coffee without even making eye contact - much less actually saying anything. I don't need 5 star service when I'm getting my morning coffee, but is a simple "hello" too much to ask for? Some of the other baristas are better on the service front, but bizarrely outside of the owner I've never seen the same barista twice here. Onto the coffee, its one of the most expensive in the area, and isn't nearly as good as it should be given what beans they're using. The only real positive of Antipode is that they often have some good coffee from the likes of Nomad and Square Mile. But overall, its a shame because I really want to like this place, and I think they have all the bones to be a great coffee shop, but the service (and as a result the vibe in the shop) and the coffee really just lets this place down.

I have traveled quite a distance on multiple occasions to enjoy the patties from this establishment. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit (Today), I encountered poor customer service that left me disappointed. The individual assisting me today was rather rude. Despite my placing a substantial order and seeking clarification on a few items, I was met with impatience as I was told it's getting busy and there is a queue behind me forming... so what doses this dude want me to do, cancel my order or walk out to lose the business money? . Such lack of professionalism and respect for customers is truly disheartening. Furthermore, there seems to be an ongoing issue with accuracy in order fulfillment. On a previous visit, I purchased six patties but only received four upon returning home. This repeated error is concerning, especially when one expects to receive what was paid for. Additionally, today I emphasized my dietary preferences for rice and peas, yet I was given white rice instead. The staff member in question did not handle the situation well, insisting that I had requested white rice despite my clear preference for rice and peas, and she failed to offer a replacement or solution. She was the same one who mucked up my patty order on my previous visit. The consistent lapses in service and attention to detail are worrisome. As a loyal customer who goes out of my way to support this establishment, I am truly disheartened by the overall lack of professionalism exhibited by certain staff members. In other establishments within my community, such mistakes are rectified with gestures of goodwill like a complimentary meal on the next visit. Unfortunately, I have yet to see such efforts here. Ultimately, the importance of delivering exceptional customer service cannot be overstated. It is essential for the reputation and success of any business. Regrettably, my recent experiences have left me questioning whether I will return. I sincerely hope that the management addresses these issues promptly to preserve the reputation of the establishment and restore confidence among patrons. It's such a shame as I often will use good establishments for business opportunities but with this kind of bad customer service and unprofessionalism I will not consider it which is a shame.
