Smokoloko in Tower Hamlets

Stumbled across this today in Spitalfields market Regular brisket sandwich Well hot damn!!! Literally haven’t stopped going on about it for the past hour.. absolutely phenomenal

They have two stands at opposite ends of Spitalfields Market. Both, very nicely arranged. At this one in Bishops Square, we tried their grilled beef meat and it was very good, juicy, well seasoned.

After admiring Smokoloko for ages (from a distance), my wife and I finally tried it today. So glad we did. I had the brisket wrap and my wife had the chicken wrap. Super tender, super moist beautifully smoked meat with a bit of rocket and sautéed shallots on amazing naan bread…make sure you spritz some chilli and chimichurri sauce on the side. Cannot recommend highly enough people. The best part…just cost £21 for the two of us and we were stuffed. Sorry my one photo does not do the food justice…go now thank me later.

They offer two tasty wrap options, beef and chicken. Went for the beef and it was good but would like to try chicken next time.

The smell of chunks of beef being BBQ’d and smoked drew my son and I to this place. We were not disappointed - the brisket was amazing. Succulent and flavoursome. The regular portion was massive! The guys that run the place are friendly and fun. We will be going back to try the rest of the menu very soon.

Used to be good.. now their Large portion is smaller than their old regular. Overpriced and based on weight of box not meat! Disappointing

Had a sample and it tasted very good. Decided to go for a mixed brisket and rump steak large for £12. For those who dont like chewing- a bit of gristle and maybe some small pieces of fat then steer away from the rump - personally i preferred it to the brisket but not for everyone. As others have said they have HP sauces which are ok. Chilli sauce is very hot, and i like hot chilli, so I'm glad i didn't pour it all over. My only criticism was the quantity of meat - shredding and slicing it makes it look more but i dont think there was even the equivalent of half a small steak for £12. Definitely not worth the money, but then this is London and i don't know their overheads.

Went for lunch as a friend was down. The taster and the queues suck you in. The food itself was all the fat. About 60% edible meat. Waste of money if you ask me, walked into pret on my way back as I was still hungry. Don’t be fooled by the queue and the smokers. The man calling the numbers had food spitting out of his mouth as well made me regret ordering from the off. Never again

Really friendly staff, even when there was a massive queue. Oh, and the brisket especially is magnificent. We had this twice, and the steak. Easily the best food on site over the weekend and excellent value for the money paid - a large sized portion fed two people. Wish there was one in Bristol......

Juicy and well smoked bbq meat. Go for it. They provide samples too. Everything is cooked to perfection - pork, rump, chicken.

Working near by I am lucky enough to ne able to visit here as often as I like. The meat is fantatstic. Recommend the half steak half chicken. Shame the sauce is just usual HP needs a proper BBQ sauce but for less than £10...

Had the 12 hour smoked Brisket on Saturday... one word... spectacular! They give out samples which is what drew me in and made my decision for me, very friendly staff, would 100% recommend. will def be going back

Walking through Old Spitalfields Market we already spotted people with amazing looking meat filled wraps. After our self guided walking tour we made sure we ended up at Smokoloko for a wrap, and we were not disappointed! Great filling, tasty, good quality lunch!
