The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in South West Scotland

What an amazing find, they make all their own food including proper sourdough bakery goods and kombucha, perfect if you're trying to increase your microbiome or following ZOE. And, of course, all their food is delicious and it was the best coffee I've had in Ayr.

A fabulous Christmas meal, with efficient and friendly service. Just what we've come to expect from the Salt and Barrel. It never disappoints. Well done everybody.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem! I only live 20 mins or so away and didn’t know it existed. Attended a fab event there and got the tour too. Would love to go back soon!

We've been visiting here weekly while we have been working in the area, and the food's been excellent at every visit, certainly the highlight of the week. Friendly serving staff too, would definitely recommend.

Great menu and lively specials, food was lovely (top quality at normal prices), great for kids with kids made pizza!!! Lovely restaurant and setting (right on the sea). Highly recommend.

Went for lunch at The View mid afternoon on a friday. Very quiet but it was 3pm. We were feeling a bit scruffy after a long walk on the beach but were made welcome. Food was very fresh, simple but of high quality and delicious. Prices very reasonable. Recommend.

Got served eventually by staff after they came over was seated. Asked if we wanted drinks, I said Yes explained what we wanted. Brought drinks over. 20 mins later waitress came over "what you want then" gave order over then 25 mins later was brought over. People had came in after and got food and drink. before us.

Lovely friendly pub. Has such a friendly environment with good deals on food and drink. Great for a family meal or date night. Will definitely be back !

Excellent cafe in a beautiful location well worth returning and we will.

A very bland and mediocre offering. Macaroni and Cheese that tasted like it came out of a packet. Tandoori chicken that was just sickly and a dessert that was dense and horrible. This hotel is treading water and delivering the bare minimum in a dining room that has absolutely no atmosphere. Sad to see a once nice place deteriorating into being a Bootleg Premier Inn.
