Foccacia sandwiches are the best I've ever had! The brownie was so good we bought extra to take away. Range of alternative teas was a treat, a d the attentive service finished off a lovely lunch.

We loved this resturant! Me and my husband were in Scotland for my birthday and went here for my birthday dinner while we were staying in Glencoe. The food was great and the staff was super friendly! We hope to return here one day!

Had the misfortune of working here. I was asked to "check" the rooms that were apparentlyalready clean. I discovered they were all very dirty and spent 8 hours cleaning 6 rooms. Every one was thick with dust, bathrooms dirty and the entire place was tired and poorly maintained. When I asked the management why, he said the rooms hadn't been used for 3 months, so why on earth was bed linen left on and tea trays made up? I asked about running taps and showers during closed periods due to Legionella risks and was met with blank expressions. Staff training is non-existent. It's a shame the owners take no pride in their business because they enjoy a captive market with little competition in the area.

Booked a table for 6 o’clock on a Saturday, booking was confirmed everything seemed okay. On Saturday noticed it said they were closed on Saturday so phoned up and were told they were closed.. we had not been informed and our special occasion was ruined as couldn’t get booked in anywhere else on such short notice. Very disappointed.

Happened upon this hotel on a day trip to Lossiemouth being mainly attracted to its dog friendly sign as we had both our dogs with us. We were seated in the dog friendly dining area and were welcomed by 2 very friendly staff who immediately got a bowl of fresh water for our thirsty dogs. The other key reason for this review was the excellent varied gluten free menu which was great for me, being a coeliac. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The restaurant began to fill up rapidly as we were eating, prompting the serving ladies to politely inform every prospective diner that there would be a 30min plus wait for food but most opted to wait. We would definitely go back if in the area again. Thank you for a perfect lunch😊

Dog friendly No was offered to sit outside, drinks and food cash only. Food arrived then we had to ask for cutlery. We wathched people walk up to the door and then walk away as they had no cash on them.Ony one couple sat in the returaunt and us outside! We ask for a chair for my wife who has parkinsons and could not balance on the picnic bench. Oh dear sad to say so much potential ! Richard

Mediocre hotel for cost, poor food, Amazing views! We had booked a family room with bunk beds, the room was clean (ignoring the stains on the carpet), a decent size for 2 adults and a child with amazing views. The room felt a bit tired, dated heater and wardrobe, for the cost I would have expected a little more. The communal areas, bar and restaurant feel very tired and in places a little dirty. Service was good, breakfast was ok, premier inn buffet style, scrambled eggs were poor and coffee was a bit cold but what you would expect for a hotel buffet. The worst part was dinner £95 for 3 of us, no starters or desserts apart from a child’s ice cream and only three drinks. The bread was frozen in the middle, child’s pizza and chips were basically Morrisons oven chips and cheese pizza. Fish and chips was ok but for £18 I would have expected moor. The fish tagliatelle was really poor and I should have sent it back. In essence the food was basic / cafe pub quality with high class prices. If you can get a good deal for the hotel then it’s worth it for the location and views, but don’t stay for dinner!

The Bearded Chef HQ Elgin disappointing 976934318 Truly disappointing, tough cold lamb, giving lamb a fancy name does nothing to improve poorly seasoned meat. The chicken others at the table had was the same. Out of 8 at the table we all left very disappointed with the food

We went to the restaurant as it was the closest and pretty much only hot food place to the boat service. Take away menu was 12.50 for fish and chips, I didn’t think much of it and sat down. Ordered 5 portions ish and chips. Got three decent size fish and the last two were less than small. It tasted good and fresh so I didn’t mention anything till I got the bill of £95 just for 5 fish and chips. When I mentioned the fish size to the server he was quite rude and said there’s nothing he can do about it (how about picking the fair size fish before frying, especially if you are going to charge London city prices. Rude owner personally thought I was a bit crooked. But hey ho.. please be aware of getting overcharged.
